Abstract

Android is an operating system for mobile phones based on Linux. Android provides an open platform for developers to create their own applications for use by a variety of mobile devices. Android has various advantages as software that uses computer code base that can be distributed openly (open source) so that users can create new applications therein. Currently provided Android SDK (Software Development Kit) as a tool and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language. Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) is software that virtualizes conventional teaching and learning process. LMS is one of component which is need for developing e-learning and it’s also a software to support e-learning method. LMS D3 Unggulan Budi Luhur University needs to evaluate how far LMS support E-learning method. Qualitative Weight and Sum (QWS) method is use to evaluate this LMS. The purpose of this research is to know criterias for the evaluation. Those criterias based on Learning Management System’s features which grouped by categories and sub-categories.The results of the evaluation with QWS method show that most of the features on LMS D3 Unggulan Budi Luhur University already meet the criterias so that LMS can support e-learning method.Keywords: Learning Management System, LMS, Qualitative Weight and Sum, QWS

Abstract

As an information technology-based faculty, the Faculty of Information Technology Budi Luhur University has the responsibility and bigrole in the manufacture and processing of information as an information center for students. Of the many responsibilities, it’s priorityis to give and provide the best service for students to information needs. To be kept competitive with competitors, especially FTI Budi Luhur University continues to improve its quality.One of its efforts is to improve the quality of services to students, by providing services to students in the form of Helpdesk. Helpdesk is a suppor t for mof information and activity providers that handle information and complaints from students of the Faculty of Information Technology. In this research,analysis and design of Student Services Helpdesk for FTI uses approach SDLC(SystemDevelopment LifeCycle) and UML methode and Object Oriented methodologies. Application Helpdesk will be created using Visual Basic.Net programming language. With this application, the expectation by accommodating and analyzing complaints or questions often asked by students(users),would provide solutions or responses based on the knowledge base. Abstract

The function of palm oil tank is to accommodate a clean palm oil before palm oil goes to end. The staff who fill the tank with palm oil should monitor and record every height of the oil collected in the tank. For controlling officers still do its job manually by looking at the height of the oil in the tank with a direct view into the air gauge written on the wall of the tank. And, in recording the statement was recorded manually using daily reports. The control and monitoring of plant operations conventionally has many limitations, especially regarding the quality and efficiency and operating system manually is inefficient and very difficult for the officer in recording the monitoring of the oil loading in the tank. Therefore, necessary selected the right technology and easy operation. This research is made to raise the issue, which is to create a tool for monitoring the systems and control the palm oil tanks which should has a height of 5 meters and a diameter of 2 meter, and height limit of the oil tank lip is 50 cm, which can be monitored and controlled automatically. This automatic recording of application integration will facilitate staff in maintaining the height of the oil palm in the tank at the level of the normal range. This application is made in Visual Basic 6.0 programming language and database Microsoft Access. Abstract

The office of Kelurahan Petukangan Selatan, is one government agency that wants to improve its efficiency in providing community services. The one that they choose is public welfare. One of the activities in the field of public walfare is the mosquito nest eradication, in the form of larvae checks in kelurahan petukangan selatan, in which the result of the examination will be reported to the village, which until today the submission of reports still manual. This leads to difficulty for responsible staff to monitor the larvae in kelurahan petukangan selatan in reporting their result. The running of this application cannot be separated from the services of the telecomunication operator for receiving and sending SMS. Features available in the SMS Gateway aplication among other; form of data entry officer, disease data entry, dynamic request, form server menu consists of incoming SMS and SMS Broadcast, form of transaction report, form of data report, inbox form, outbox form, form of device and critism which all are contained in the application server. While the features contained in the client application, include : form server set ID, input larvae reports, change larvae reports, larvae validation reports, and clear statements void reports, check number of cases, symptoms of diseases, as well as advice and critisism of dynamic request. Software use for this application is java programming language and MySql as its database. Abstract

Processing student data currently spread across various systems that can only be accessed by the relevant working area(bureau) and authorities user. Constraints on the field then appeared at a particular official or staff to deal with customers in providing information related to the student data they need. The separation of access to information related to the system by the bureau become obstacles for such staff in the provision of information. So sometimes questions from customers only can be answered after the routing of requests for data or by way of calls to the bureau that has authority over related data. This results in a long service. This research will try to present a solution of the above problems. Through the knowledge capture approach, we will combine the data needs to be taken from the back end system as well as the tacit knowledge of the staff or officials usually interact directly in serving customers. Abstract

Nowadays science and technology continues evolve follows the era development. Correspondingly, the need for accurate and fast information is also increasingly felt in all areas. Primary Medical Pharmacies is a company engaged in the sale of medicines and health supplements. The rapid development of business sales transactions which resulted in increasingly increased, so the impact on the supply of drugs should always be available to consumers. For that there needs to be a drug purchase control system is reliable. The purpose of this research is to design a drug purchasing system and apply it in the form of information systems. This study uses UML modeling techniques as one system. Implementation of this study using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with the database used is Microsoft Access 2000. The results of the research is the design of information systems that can help the cash purchase transaction in Primary Medical Pharmacy so that later transactions become more effective and efficient which can encourage and enhance the progress of pharmacy.
