Abstract

In this final project will be designed a controlling tool of lamp and fan, which can control remotely away with radio communication by using handy talky and DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) system. This system consist of two parts named transmitter and the receiver, the transmitter uses keypad and encoder as a signal tone generator which will be sent via handy talky and at the part of receiver uses handy talky to receive the signal tone,the decoder will convert the frequency signal into four bits data, the buffer is used to lock the voltage logic, digital comparator as a comparison, flip-flop as bit counter that will provide input on the driver relay which connected to two loads i.e. lamp and fan. This tool is expected can control the lamp and fan away until five Km.

Abstract

The dense activity and mobility in middle and upper-middle-class society at this time resulted in many who did not have time to care for and maintain their yard. When the yard can still be used to get additional income. Where can be made hydroponic farming and fish farming? choose to use the services of gardeners rather than doing it yourself. It is something that is not efficient and effective. By creating a system of control and care for plants and fish ponds that can be controlled anywhere and anytime. This system makes it possible for each individual to carry out care and supervision only by using a cell phone so that it does not take much time. With this system many people are helped to be able to manage their yard. Not only that, but this system will also make our yard more productive because the results can be sold. So that this system can also be useful as a new business venture. The application of this system in every home yard can have an impact on the time each individual becomes more efficient, the use of cell phones to control electronic components is felt to make their use more practical and efficient.

Abstract

Fires can occur anywhere and at any time both at home, at school and in other places other than that can occur during the day and night. Fires occur as a result of a fire that is not detected as quickly as possible and the existing fire is getting bigger which results in a fire. But the possibility of a fire at night will be greater due to the homeowner in a state of sleep. The above will make every homeowner feel uneasy and worried. In the design of this system fire detection is based on the direction of the wind and fire extinguishing automatically by the water pump at night it happens due to an integrated system of fire sensors, compass sensors with water pumps. In this case the function of the water pump system is controlled by information from the fire sensor. The water pumping system will work if it is informed by sensors that a fire has been detected. In addition this system is equipped with a compass sensor to determine the hotspot based on the direction of the wind. The location of the hotspot will be informed to the user via GSM SIM 800L. In addition to information that a fire fighting fire has been detected, it will also be notified to users. The expected outcome of this design is to help homeowners to prevent house fires because this system automatically detects fires and extinguishes fires at night and informs users of the detected and extinguished fires automatically. So that the users of this system can sleep well at night without feeling worried.

Abstract

The development of information technology is so rapid that it makes telecommunications systems a very important thing. However, in reality there are still many areas that have not been touched and have not felt the telecommunications services, so that the community feels the impact of the difficulty to develop, both socially and economically. For this reason, a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication system was designed. VoIP technology is implemented in a portable router and can be used as a mini Base Transceiver Station (BTS) by modifying the router with the OpenWRT operating system and omnidirectional antenna. In designing a VoIP communication system with an omnidirectional antenna, the router functions to connect between smartphones to be able to communicate via voice with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, and an omnidirectional antenna serves to expand the coverage area of ​​the VoIP communication system. can provide convenience to the public in communicating with a wider coverage area. In the design of VoIP communication systems with omnidirectional antennas, testing of signal quality, signal strength, and distance that can be reached from the router to the client when communicating.

Abstract

The development of the robotics world is currently very rapid. This can be proven by the many technologies in the field of robotics that are deliberately created to help human work. This design aims to make Room Control Robot Using Wireless Networks. This room control robot uses two parts, hardware and software. In Hardware use Arduino IDE. In Software using Basic for Android. This research helps users monitor a room by using a robot through applications and wireless media. Users can control the robot by pressing the keyboard or button on the application. As feedback to the user, data recorded by the camera located in the body of the wireless robot will be displayed in the Live View application.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in fish feeding is when the owner travels far away. With the Internet of Things technology can facilitate the maintenance of fish in the form of automatic feeding tools that can facilitate the owner. In this study, the author will build tools and applications that can provide fish feed automatically. This tool was built with the Raspberry Pi as its main controller which is equipped with a servo motor as an opening for fish feed, a temperature sensor to detect aquarium temperature, an ultrasonic sensor as a detection of feed residue, aquarium monitoring using a webcam, a relay as a controller for water filters and water heaters in the aquarium. Overall this tool is associated with Android-based applications. When feeding fish can be done in two ways, namely based on a schedule that has been set in the application and directly by pressing the button on the application. In the process of making this tool utilizing the Python programming language, while the application is built with Android Studio with Java and XML programming languages. Overall integration between tool and application data is sent to the server by storing the database in MySQL. It is hoped that this research can work functionally to facilitate fish feeding activities.

Abstract

Floods, fires and gas leaks that occur often cause problems that can result in losses that are not small in value. The absence of an early warning system when floods, fires and gas leaks make people less alert. In this study designed a flood detection system, fire detection and leak detection in gases that work automatically based on a microcontroller. The water level monitoring system is carried out by using an HC-SR04 type ultrasonic sensor that will read the water level, the fire monitoring system is carried out by using a DHT11 type temperature sensor that will detect the occurrence of fire while the gas leak monitoring system is carried out by using a gas sensor type MQ-9 will find out the gas leak. If all three sensors detect parameters such as rising water levels, rising temperatures and high gas concentrations, the system will sound the buzzer as an early warning sign. This system connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) which will display data in real time displayed using the web-based IoT Platform, Mapid. With this system, it is expected that the public can be more alert to floods, fires and gas leaks.

Abstract

Lack of green land in urban areas makes gardening difficult. The high mobility of city residents makes gardening on urban agricultural crops. However, these problems can be overcome by gardening with a controlled urban farming system. In this research a monitoring system is designed that can read soil moisture in the urban farming system. The humidity monitoring system is carried out by implementing the YL-69 sensor which will determine the level of soil moisture. This Soil Moisture Monitoring System will be connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) which will display data in real time. The output of the YL-69 type humidity sensor in real time is required using the Web-based IoT Platform, Thingspeak. With this system, it is expected that the community can be more efficient and productive in conducting gardening activities in urban areas

Abstract

Image plays a very important role in the form of visual information as one of the multimedia components. The circulation of images in digital form is very easy and fast either through social media or E-mail (Electronic-mail). Digital images are more dynamic and can be easily changed (editable) in terms of shapes, sizes, and objects that are in the digital image. Along with the development of technology and computers, the increase in computer crime has also increased, especially in image manipulation. There are many ways that people use to manipulate images that have a detrimental effect on others. The originality of a digital image is the authenticity of the image in terms of colors, shapes, objects and information without the slightest change from the other party. Nowadays many digital images circulating on the internet have been manipulated and even images have been used for material fraud in the competition, so we need a method that can detect the image is genuine or fake. In this study, the author uses the Anaconda Hash method to detect the originality of digital images, by using this method an image that is still doubtful of its authenticity can be found out that the image is authentic or fake.

Abstract

Data compression is a way of changing data from a set of characters to be converted into a code with the aim of saving storage space. Along with the development of the era, the more advanced devices result in the resulting data size increasing and continuing to increase, if the data size is large it can cause waste of data storage space and waste of quota usage when sharing because it requires a technique to change the size of the data so that to be smaller. The author will apply how it works on image files. In this study, an application to reduce the size of an image file into an application with the Prefix code algorithm. The Prefix Code algorithm is a data compression algorithm that can compress image files with the aim of reducing the size of the data in the image. There are many types of methods or algorithms in image compression, but in this algorithm the writer only wants to know the compression process using the Prefix Code algorithm using the C1 code where the author has successfully compressed an image file with the prefix code algorithm using the C1 code has the ability to compress 37 image data, 5% in an image file
