Jurnal Tathwir adalah jurnal ilmiah tentang isu-isu sosial dan perkembangan masyarakat Islam. Jurnal ini pertama kali diterbitkan pada bulan April 2009 oleh Departemen Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam (PMI), Fakultas Dakwah UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Nama Jurnal Tathwir terinspirasi dari semangat perubahan yang merupakan derivasi dari kata “tathwir” (perubahan). Jurnal ini terbit secara berkala setiap bulan April dan Oktober. Jurnal Tathwir memuat artikel-artikel dari hasil penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan kajian ilmu-ilmu sosial keagamaan.

Abstract

The emergence of the reform movement in Indonesia can not be separated from the process of natural change his mind about Islam , since the opening lines of communication with the countries of the Middle East as a center for the development of Islam . The ideas of renewal of the Middle East is , in its development , also rolled to Indonesia --- which is often regarded as Islam " periphery " . On the other hand , the social conditions of the religious life in Indonesia when it was very alarming . This was caused by colonialism and religious understanding are not in accordance with the teachings of Islam. thus reflected in the reality of social life tends to the condition of stagnation , ignorance and poverty

Abstract

Pesantren has a long history associated with its functions as a forum to educate satri in religious sciences. The central figure is a boarding school clerics who became leader of the school and have the authority which determines the dynamics of intellectual santrinya, even the surroundings.Lately there is a tendency to expand the functions of pesantren not only as a religious institution, but also as a social institution. Consequently, the task is not only working on matters of religion, but also menangggapi social problems. Social work initially may be a side job or a "surrogate" of outsiders boarding. But then, social work makes boarding trusted by many parties as agents bring significant social change. Because they assume, almost all of the functional components of schools have links with the community, ranging from the influence of clerics, religious teacher and his students that provide color in the middle of society. Pesantren is a unique Islamic institution and have a different culture from other Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

The strategy is a method of propaganda tactics , tactics or maneuvers used in missionary activity . Propaganda strategy used in the propaganda effort with respect to some things like azaz philosophical , psychological and sociological . In religious societies , between the conception of psychology , sociology and religiosity should not be strictly separated , because if the case would lead to the conclusion that fatal . In sunatullah society will continue to evolve with the advances in modern science and technology . The problems faced by humans increasingly complex , the implications of advances in science and technology impact on various aspects of life such as religious , social , cultural, economic , political and so on

Abstract

Observing various dakwah activity today, rather feels that the essence of dakwah began to lose value. Dakwah is no longer able to give directions over the life of the Islamic community. Moreover, if the dakwah activity is packed with business media, especially television, this may seem to add “syi'ar”of Islam, but actually she's dragged to the artificiality meaning of divine messages. Dakwah activity tends to significantly spectacle, versus guidance. When studied in the early development of Islamic Dakwah, it’s succeeded in giving the color of people's lives. Dakwah instead act to strengthen the local culture with a strong Islamic characterize. Islam in Minangkabau characterize it has become increasingly apparent. The combination of local and Islamic culture are felt in many Minang people's lives. One of the most influential cultural symbol in Minangkabau is the message of Islam, "surau". This paper seeks to provide an answer to how the concept of “surau” at  the development of Islam in Minangkabau, and how the dakwah strategy of the surau, as well as how social functioning surau in the Minangkabau society. The study used a descriptive - phenomenological approach, a method that emphasizes the meaning to the understanding of society. In epistemology, the study is based on empirical generalizations and determination concepts. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of the surau had been developed through a process of social Islamization. Furthermore, surau important role in the development and spread of Islam in Minangkabau, as a center of dakwah and educational activities , as well as the center of social activities. Surau role in maintaining its existence as a social institution in fostering the values of divinity and humanity in the social relations. At the same time, surau has a socially established itself as one of the important parts of the socio-cultural system of the Minangkabau society. So conceptually, surau style education can serve as a role mode propagation methods and strategies based on the knowledge of local culture

Abstract

Although humans including an important part in the development of communities in improving the interaction among humans , but the human factor is difficult to remove subjectivity in color and direct the development of a model of society . Real human interaction with the local conditions surrounding pretty determine the balance of society . Therefore, it should be noted human sensitivity and concern for the local strength in which he lived and interacted . In this context , it is reasonable local wisdom used as a model in the development of society . Related to that , the handling of social problems that occur today , can be addressed effectively if the community has been powerless in understanding local wisdom

Ethical eating and drinking is an important thing when going to eat a meal and drink . Prophet Muhammad as a role model for human beings has been delivered through the ordinance traditions he ate and drank the good and the true .
