Abstract

Devdan is one of the performing arts performance industries that is able to attract enthusiastic tourists both domestic and international, through its spectacular dance performances. The presence of Devdan Show as a tourism performance art, can be said to bring fresh air to the atmosphere of performing arts in Bali. A good managerial system, high quality standards in terms of dances and performances, and a great sense of concern for its employees, make Devdan Show one of the performing arts industries that can be used as an example for the development and preservation of tourism-based cultural arts in Indonesia. The method used to research Devdan Show is a qualitative research method with direct observation and interview techniques. In the perspective of tourism performing arts, there are 4 important things that can be used to discuss the content presented by Devdan Show, including: 1). Performance form; 2). Audience society; 3). Dancers or talents; and 4). Rewards or awards. Devdan Show as a performing art can be said to be a forum for art development. Thus, art, which is one of the elements of culture, is expected not to give inner satisfaction to art actors and tourists, but at the same time it can improve people's lives through the tourism industry. Through the tourism industry, performing arts, and dance in Bali, it is not only able to fulfill the need for beauty, but in fact it is able to provide prosperity as well as improve the standard of life for performing arts actors in Bali. Abstract

Current technological advances are inevitable we must follow along with the development of such a rapid era. Starting from the 1.0 era until now that is being launched is industry 5.0. Moreover, the existence of the Covid-19 Pandemic that is currently happening is quite hitting many industries ranging from garment, automotive, trade to tourism. Since February 2020 there has been a decline in tourist arrivals due to restrictions on visits from various countries. Bali tourism also felt the impact and began to have an impact on the lack of visits to various tourist attractions. This research will try to raise the design of a tourism digitally by using a Zoneminder application so that tourism objects can be seen directly at that moment. The concept of the design using Zoneminder is expected to be able to present new experiences in traveling for tourists and still help managers of attractions to remain creative and get donations in presenting attractions in the form of direct donations or advertising. Abstract

Online travel agent (OTA) has been the main connection for guests to reach a tourism destination, where the algorithm of “sort” function enables a guest to find and pick any accommodation, attraction, accessibility, and amenity to his/her wants and needs in a single click. This study will discuss how such single click reduces (combine and generalize) every hotel and homestay within an OTA, hence experience as homestay’s main value has become irrelevant as an indicator of deciding the accommodation. The purpose of this study is to start an academic discussion about assumptions of modernity in tourism, a topic that has been taken for granted (purposefully?) so often. Using qualitative content analysis as data analysis method, this study did purposeful sampling interviews with hotel and homestay practitioners in Ubud, mainly to divulge a new perspective about practical implications of modernity in tourism.
