Abstract

This study analyzed the factors influencing Arabica coffee exports to Asia. This study used secondary data in the form of panel data analysis, which was a combination of time series and cross-section, the time series data used were 2005-2020 and the cross-section data used were five Arabica coffee export destinations to Asia. The panel data analysis method was used to analyze the price of Arabica coffee in Asian countries and the per capita income of Asian countries. The results indicated that the factors that significantly influenced the export of Arabica coffee to Asia included income per capita in Asian countries, but only the price of Arabica coffee in Asian countries had a positive and insignificant effect on Arabica coffee exports to Asia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Rice Harvest and Production Area on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP). The phenomenon that occurs that when the area of harvest and production decreases but GDP shows an increase, further studies are needed regarding the effect of broad harvest and rice production on GDP. The samples in this study are 5 provinces in Indonesia and have the largest rice production, namely West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi and South Sumatra in 2018-2022. In this study, the data was processed using Eviews with panel data regression analysis. From the Chow test and Hausman test, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) model was selected as the best estimation model. The results showed that the area of rice harvest and production together affect the GRDP in 5 provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, partially, the harvest area has a negative effect on GDP while rice production has no effect on GDP in 5 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2018-2022. It is recommended that the government further improve the farmer insurance program and farmer group training so as to further increase GDP

Abstract

Research on the Effect of Production and Labor Force Participation (Tpak) in the Agricultural Sector on Farmers' Exchange Rates in 34 Indonesian Provinces During the Covid 19 Pandemic. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency 2017-2020. This research uses panel data analysis method with the help of Eviews. The results of the study partially show that the production of the agricultural sector has a positive and significant effect on the farmer's exchange rate (NTP), while the labor force participation rate (TPAK) has a positive but not significant effect on the farmer's exchange rate (NTP), and the magnitude of the influence of the production and participation rate variables. The labor force in the provinces in Indonesia to the Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in the provinces in Indonesia is 13.92% while the remaining 86.08% is influenced by other variables outside this research model

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the company's condition is efficient through the efficiency analysis test. The method used in this analysis test is non-parametric quantitative with a Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) model. The data source is based on the financial statements of agricultural companies, where the input variables include Total Assets, Liabilities, and Land, while the output variable is Sales. Processed using MaxDea software. There are 12 sample companies or DMU in this study. The results of DMU analysis using VRS output orientation assumptions show that agricultural companies on an efficiency scale of 1 are 4.

Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of coffee exports, imports, and economic growth on Indonesia's trade balance in 2003-2018. The multiple linear regression analysis method tests the relationship between these variables. Data obtained from Indonesian Plantation Statistics for Coffee Commodities (2019). The research results show that coffee exports significantly negatively impact the trade balance, which means that an increase in coffee exports can cause a decline in the trade balance. On the other hand, coffee imports have a significant negative impact, indicating that increasing coffee imports can contribute to the trade balance deficit. The importance of policies that support increasing the competitiveness of coffee exports, controlling imports, and sustainable economic development to achieve a better trade balance. Further research can explore in-depth micro and macroeconomic aspects to produce more specific policy recommendations.

Abstract

This study examined the efficiency of tobacco farming production in Indonesia. This study used secondary data in the form of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) using the Costan Return to Scale (CRS) and Return to Scale (VRS) approaches from 2006 to 2020 from the Central Bureau of Statistics and FAO. Development analysis Data (DEA) method was used to analyze the efficiency of tobacco farming production in Indonesia. The results indicated that the 4 input variables consisting of land area, investment, production costs, and output Tobacco production were in the CRS and VRS approaches. For CRS, there were 6 efficient years, while for VRS, there were 7 efficient years. The average value of efficiency in tobacco farming is one (1,000).
