Abstract

This research is classroom action research to increase the level of physical fitness of students with a circuit training approach in class XI Financial Accounting Institute 1 SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan. Based on the nutritional status of students in the average normal category with a Body Mass Index (BMI) result of 19.69 and a percentage of 43% in the normal category, This classroom action research method is based on the Kemmis and MC Taggart models of research conducted through four stages, including planning, implementing, observing, and subsequent reflection. The four stages become a cycle. Data collection used the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) instrument and used descriptive analysis techniques to describe the percentage data from the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) results obtained from cycles 1 and 2, with a total of 35 students. The results of the physical fitness research experienced an increase. The percentage of 60% in the very poor category in cycle 1 decreased to 28% in cycle 2, while in cycle 1, which was originally 0% in the good category, it increased by 3%. So the results of cycles 1 and 2 have increased even though they are still in the less category, so further action is needed in learning in class XI Financial Accounting at SMK Negeri Lamongan. So it can be concluded that the circuit training approach can improve the physical fitness of students.

Abstract

When facing challenges, especially during competition, mental toughness is a positive trait that must be possessed, but competitive anxiety is a negative trait that must be possessed when facing challenges. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude towards mental toughness and competitive anxiety and how mental toughness influences competitive anxiety in SSB Tunas Inti FC athletes in Sungai Penuh City. This type of research involves quantitative research in the field of statistics. The research design in question utilises an associative approach with quantitative precision. All 195 SSB Tunas Inti U-15 football players from Sungai Penuh City became the subject of this study. Purposive sampling is the method used in collecting data in this study to obtain a sample of 22 athletes who fall into certain categories. In this study, data was collected using an assessment tool that measures competitive anxiety and mental toughness on two different scales. This study uses product moment analysis techniques while testing the hypothesis using a test of determination, especially with the coefficient of determination. Each computation used for the calculations in this study uses SPSS 29.0 statistics. The findings of this study reveal that mental toughness is at the midpoint of the scale (21 out of 22 respondents) and competitive anxiety is at the low point (13 out of 22 respondents). In contrast, the correlation coefficient between mental toughness and competitive anxiety in soccer athletes is shown to be between 0.039 and 0.864 > 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no connection between mental toughness and competitive anxiety. To determine the relative contribution between the mental toughness and competitive anxiety variables, a value of 0.039 is used, with this value located at a very low correlation coefficient interval.

Abstract

Although many studies have concluded that E-Sports are sports, the question of whether they should be classified as a sport continues. This is the basis for researchers to write articles by utilising the literature review process. This strategy was chosen because there are still many assumptions that E-Sports is a profit-oriented gaming activity. Recent articles provide evidence that the definition of e-Sports is more than just playing games for money. In addition, the perception of E-Sports is also limited to video games, even though the essence of E-Sports is more than that. It is undeniable that E-Sports are directly related to the economy, but the study of E-Sports is not only seen from one side; other aspects that can make E-Sports recognised as a sport are reviewed in this article. This article concludes that E-Sports can be classified as a sport by using the values and features of the sport. Such as being competitive, having rules, doing physical activity, practising according to the coach's programme, paying attention to player nutrition, and the professionalism of players in running the game.

Abstract

Education has a goal related to human behaviour in various ways and sources, so the concept of learning requires an understanding of its relationship with learning as a process of gaining knowledge, experience, and making changes in the form of reactions and human nature. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between interest in learning, physical fitness, and learning achievement. The type of research used is correlation research, which is one of the analysis techniques in statistics used to find the relationship between two quantitative variables. The results of the study for study interest and physical fitness showed significant results with a sig value of 0.03 Ë‚ 0.05, and the relationship between study interest and student achievement showed significant results with a sig value of 0.034 Ë‚ 0.05. At the level of the relationship, it is known that it is very strong between variables. The conclusion is that there is a relationship with a significant value and a very strong level of relationship between variables. The implication of the research is that when students have an interest in learning in lectures, it will have a positive impact on several aspects, including physical fitness and learning achievement.
