Abstract

Lack of awareness of: courtesy, dishonesty while performing individual tasks, being dishonest in daily tests, and not being obedient to the teacher's instructions is due to the lack of Imtaq process. To solve it is by integrating Imtaq values with learning materials. This study aims to determine the effect of integration of Imtaq values on the material of atomic structure to motivation and religious character. The research was conducted in class X MAN 1 Mataram during August until September 2014. The subjects of the study were students of class X IPA-2 (as experiment) and X IPS-3 (as control) were 37 and 39 students respectively. This research is a quasi- experiment with posttest-control group design. Data of research result are motivation and religious character. The instrument of data collection is a questionnaire of motivation and questionnaire of religious character which has been tested its validity and reliability on 76 subjects who have the same characteristics of age and level of education with the subject of research. The data were analyzed using normality test followed by kolmogorov-smirnov test. The results showed that there is an effect of integration of imtaq values on the material of atomic structure to motivation and religious character.

Abstract

The concept of chemistry is difficult and complicated because it is abstract. Students are encouraged to have a religious mindset. The current learning process in chemistry subjects is still teacher-centered. Different students' understanding needs to be addressed. Therefore, low-ability students can not understand the concepts; consequently the students' learning outcomes and mindset are less religious while learning chemistry. An effort for students to think religiously and improve student learning outcomes is through the use of learning methods and adequate learning resources to improve learning activities and students more active in the learning process. This problem can be solved by developing the 'religious character' of students through the application of Context Rich Problems. This research is PTK (class action) with qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted in MA Nahdlatus Shaufiah Wanasaba. Sampling using simple technique. The sample of the research is the students of class X. The results show that, the religious character and learning outcomes from cycle to cycle have increased. The average score of the students' religious characters in the first cycle was 66.67% and the second cycle was 94.63%. The completeness of each learning outcomes in the first cycle is 44.44% and cycle II is 92.59%. We conclude that the development of the religious character of the students through the application of integrated Context Rich Problems can be used as an alternative to enhance the ability of religious character and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara has been inhabited by three major tribes namely; Sasak in Lombok, Samawa, in western Sumbawa, and Mbojo tribe in the middle and east of Sumbawa Island. Other tribes in Indonesia such as Bali, Java, Medan, and others color the cultural diversity of the people of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The blending of various characters, cultures, and customs in a community of life is very potential to cause tribal, religious, belief, and racial conflicts. This fact occurs because of the lack of tolerance in the community. Tolerance can be built through well-planned education. This study aims to: 1) know the model of 'learning devices' IPA based on tolerance for school / madrasah in conflict prone areas, 2) to know the ability of science teachers in applying learning tools IPA based on tolerance, 3) to know the social skills of students in science learning, 4 ) know the attitude of student's tolerance after learning, 5) knowing student cognitive learning outcomes after science-based learning tolerance. The research used is research development with model development of Kemp et al. (1994). This research was conducted in two stages, namely: (1) Development of Learning Device which includes; (a) Instructional Problems, (b) Learner Characteristics, (c) Task Analysis, (d) Objectives, (e) Content Sequencing, (f) Instructional Strategies, (g) Instructional Delivery, (h) Evaluation Instrumens, ) Instructional Resources. (2) Testing Devices to be implemented on the students of class IX MTs Kondok Barokah Nahdlatul Wathan. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating descriptive statistic parameters, such as; the highest value, the lowest value, the average, standard deviation, and percentage.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes and activities of students of class VIII SMPN 13 Mataram through Cooperative Learning Model Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs). This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles containing planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection. The population of this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Mataram which amounted to 3 classes. The sample of this research is the students of class VIII-E. Research approach used qualitative and quantitative. The research instruments used were obsevation and study test. Data obtained, analyzed by using analysis mastery learning. The results of the research, in the cycle I classical completeness of 72.09% (not complete). Teachers are categorized as 'very active' and students are categorized as 'active'. In the second cycle, the percentage of grade mastery is 86.04%. Teachers are categorized as 'very active' and active students are categorized as 'active'. Student learning outcomes increased by 13.09%. We conclude that applying cooperative learning model of Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) techniques can improve student learning outcomes and activities

Abstract

Students' learning activity and achievement are very low. This is because the teaching method used by the teacher is always monotonous and boring. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the steps of learning methods Student Facilitator and Explaining-based Concept Map in order to improve the activity and learning outcomes of students of grade VII B SMPN 1 Jonggat on the subject matter of square. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles containing planning, implementation, observation and reflection phase. Subjects of this study amounted to 28 students. The research instrument used is the learning achievement test given at the end of each cycle, the observation guideline to get a direct description of the learning activities through the application of learning methods of student facilitator and explaining based on concept maps, as well as interview guidelines to strengthen the research results obtained. The data obtained were analyzed using learning mastery. Indicators of this study is an increase in the average score of student learning outcomes and student learning activities. The results showed an increase in the average score of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 79.29 with classical completeness 85.71% increased in cycle II to 88.08 with 92.86 classical completeness. The average score of student learning activity in cycle I was 16.48 (active category) increased in cycle II to 18,11 (active category). We conclude that by applying the steps of student learning methods facilitator and explaining based on concept maps in teaching and learning process can improve student activity and learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic 'water quality' river ancar Mataram city based on biological, chemical, and physics as bioremidiasi waters. The type of this research is descriptive explorative and research method used is survey, laboratory analysis, and case study, ie method of all aspects must be observed fully, while the data analysis is only valid for certain place and time period. The results showed that, overall observation and identification of 6 research sampling stations, 21 species were identified with four microlagae classes: Bacillariophyceae, Cyanopyceae, Chlorophyceae and Crysophyceae. Bacillariophyceae class is the class that has the most types, then Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Chrisophyceae. Factors supporting the growth of bologic components such as pH, temperature, light intensity, salinity with the range of each 7.2-8.3; 25-27 ° C; 1011-1800 lux; 3-3.2%, nutrients (N and P), according to the microalgae living conditions which are the most primitive plant organisms that are small in size, live in all waters, both rivers and seawater.
