Abstract

Lesson learned, aimed to provide students with entrepreneurial experiences and give the skill for entrepreneurship. The approach that can be employed is to integrate entrepreneurial activities into the curriculum and extra curriculum. The method used is sharing sessions. The activity held in UKM, attended by 67 students. The results indicated that factors to be considered in becoming an entrepreneur include education, soft skills, support, mentorship, creativity, innovation, and a strong passion. The lessons learned from successful entrepreneur alumni showed that entrepreneurial education provided by experienced entrepreneurs can have a positive impact on students' attitudes and motivation towards entrepreneurship. Future suggestion initiatives should attend other stake holder to sharing their experiences, such as government, creditor, and investor.

Abstract

The Promotion of Aceh MSME Products in Malaysia initiative by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University, aims to explore export opportunities for products of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) students fostered by lecturers. The community service method for increasing MSME product exports is carried out by providing training and promotion of student MSME actors and the products produced. That is following various other community service activities, namely conducting training on human resource management, especially actors and employees, and promoting MSMEs products. Post-training results on MSME products and student actors showed significant improvement in MSME management and product quality. The results of this service focused on the introduction and exhibition of MSME products at international events at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Abstract

The empowerment of Zero Waste Maritime Village Caring for the Marine Environment Based on Creative Economy was organized by the PPK Ormawa HMG Team, Lambung Mangkurat University, through socialization and education methods, training, and mentoring to the people of Wirittasi Village. With this program, the community can realize the potential of waste in Wirittasi Village. The activity results show that the district already has knowledge and skills in managing waste in Wirittasi Village through waste sorting activities and the 3R Movement. If continued, this program will improve the economic opinion of the community through waste management activities by the community. To maintain the program's sustainability, it is necessary to implement further programs, and the participation of village and local governments as facilitators for this community empowerment activity is needed.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower Persit member mothers in improving their economic welfare. Cooking training was chosen as the approach in this program because it has the potential to provide better cooking skills as well as the opportunity to generate additional income through selling food. In this program, Persit women are given cooking technique training which includes choosing the right food ingredients, good cooking techniques, and a variety of healthy menus. In addition, they are also given knowledge about business management, marketing, and financial management. Through intensive mentoring, Persit member mothers are given support and guidance in developing their culinary business. This mentoring program has significant benefits.

Abstract

The results of this socialization is to provide education to teenagers about the impact of illegal racing activities which are very dangerous for themselves and other drivers. This socialization report can be a reference for creating patterns to prevent illegal racing and traffic accidents. It was found that the role of parents can shape children's personal, commendable attitudes so that they do not violate the law. The aim of the results of this socialization is to educate teenagers about the dangers of illegal racing which can lead to traffic accidents. The method used is community service outreach to communities around areas prone to illegal racing. The results are very useful for evaluating the behavior of teenagers who carry out these negative activities.

Abstract

A Clean and Healthy Lifestyle or what is abbreviated as PHBS is one of the efforts or habituation steps for people to achieve a better and healthier quality of life. Extension methods include: presentation by resource persons using a demonstration method, then question and answer discussions and practice on ways to implement PHBS, one of which is washing hands properly according to World Health Organization (WHO) standards. Apart from that, to ensure the position of participants' knowledge regarding PHBS, the PkM team distributed pre and post-questionnaires, where from the results of the questionnaire processing it was found that out of 80 total participants from five villages, 55 participants (69%) experienced an increase in knowledge about PHBS; 20 participants (25%) remained the same and 5 participants (6%) experienced a decrease in scores from pre to post-test.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to train the local community in Bulu Cina Village, Indonesia, on how to analyze the profits of sheep farming businesses. This will help farmers determine their profits at different levels of ownership. By implementing this community service, the knowledge and abilities of the community can be enhanced. The University of Pembangunan Panca Budi and Gugah Nurani Indonesia use a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on training to help farmers improve their sheep farming businesses. The program has been successful in helping farmers understand how to analyze profits and calculate their earnings, leading to more streamlined production and increased revenue for the farmers. As a result, several farmers have reported significant improvements in their income.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that is nicknamed the silent killer because of its nature, which is sometimes not realized by sufferers but can suddenly result in death. Through Community Service activities (PkM) at the Indonesian Christian University in one of the villages in Rancakalong District, Sumedang, West Java, namely Cibungur Village, where the activities aim to provide education and training in the practice of SENSASI to village residents as an effort to prevent and treat hypertension. From the results of the training which was attended by 27 participants (residents) consisting of 3 men and 24 women with an age range of 30-60 years, the results showed that there was a decrease in the participants' blood pressure (systole and diastole) which was measured before and after the implementation of the practice.

Abstract

The catfish farmers community in Polowidi village, Sleman regency, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) is a community of farmers who develop land around their houses which can be used as medium to breed catfish, but the lack of business management especially in developing pond, marketing, and capital access become the problems in this activity. This community service aims are giving knowledge and upgrading ability of catfish farmers to improve the business management by implementing 4 programs. The first is development of pond by using tarpaulins. The second is training of social media marketing and capital access. The third is mentoring the business activity. The fourth is following up program to improve the catfish farmers ability in the future.
