Termasuk di dalamnya tentang pengembangan kurikulum, lingkungan belajar, pendidikan guru non-MPIA, teknologi pendidikan, dan berbagai jenis penelitian, seperti: penelitian survei, penelitian dan pengembagan, penelitian eksperimentasl, penelitian tindakan kelas, dan jenis penelitian yang lain. FOKUS dikelola oleh LP3M STKIP YPM Bangko. Artikel yang dimuat dapat berbahasa Inggris, atau bahasa Indonesia. Jurnal Fokus bekerja sama dengan penulis-penulis yang sudah memiliki pengalaman.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning process in creative product learning and entrepreneurship at SMK Negeri 5 Merangin with the NHT type cooperative learning model then is there an increase in student learning activity in the subject of creative products and entrepreneurship through the numbered head togethe learning model in class XI Multimedia. The type of research used is a classroom follow-up research method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in collaboration between teachers and researchers in an effort to increase student learning activity through the numbered head together learning model. then for the implementation of CAR starting from the first cycle which consists of four activities. If it is known the location of the success and obstacles of the actions carried out from the first cycle, the teacher can determine the design for the second cycle. Then the next cycle is carried out if the results of the second cycle do not meet the target to be achieved

Abstract

The maximum learning outcomes have not been achieved, which is an important scourge that needs to be solved. The application of the Discovery Learning type cooperative learning model is thought to be able to increase student participation in learning and learning outcomes. This type of research is a quantitative experimental method. The population in this study was class VIII students in Social Studies Learning at SMP Negeri 43 totaling 52 students. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and questionnaires. The data validity technique uses Validity Test, Reliability Test. The data analysis technique used prerequisite test. The data are Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and t Test with SPSS 21 Program. Based on the results of the study showed that. the application of the Discovery Learning model in social studies learning can increase students' active participation in learning with a significant level of 5%, with a t-table value of 2.0074, t-count data = 3.488. Testing the hypothesis test shows that tcount > t table, then the hypothesis testing shows that rejecting H0 and accepting Ha is that there are differences in student learning outcomes between the use of the Discovery Learning type of cooperative learning model and the Conventional Learning Model (lecture). Therefore, to achieve better learning outcomes, it is necessary to use more varied teaching variations by teachers

Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of motivation in children in the process of learning activities at Madrasah Nurul Islam. For this reason, a study was conducted which aimed to find out teacher strategies in motivating children's learning at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) Nurul Islam, Tabir Timur District, Merangin Regency. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative methods, and determination of informants by purposive sampling technique, collecting data by interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the findings of researchers at the research location through observation, interviews and documentation, it can be concluded that: the process of implementing learning at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah Nurul Islam, Tabir Timur District, Merangin Regency begins with opening activities, core activities and closing activities. There are several obstacles faced by teachers in learning activities, namely, lack of support from parents (guardians of students), inadequate school facilities and infrastructure. The strategy used by the teacher in motivating children's learning at Madrasah Nurul Islam is by holding a competition, giving appreciation to students who excel. For this reason, it is suggested to teachers to improve learning strategies, to schools to fulfill school infrastructure, and also to need the participation of the government to provide assistance and contribute to the interests of education
