Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the development of flash card learning media for class VIII SMP/MTs students. valid, practical and effective. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods. The characteristics of flash card media are concrete, clarify a problem, easy to use and have special characteristics. The flash card learning media was validated by 5 material, language and media experts. Product validity is known from the validation sheet. The practicality of the product is known from the practicality questionnaire and student interviews. The effectiveness is obtained from the activity sheets and student learning outcomes. The average score of material expert validation is 4.59 with a very valid category, linguistic experts 3.88 with a very valid category, media experts 4.78 with a very valid category, teacher experts 4.24 with a very valid category and overall validation of 3.53 with a very valid category. The percentage of practicality questionnaire answers is 80.01% with a very practical category. The average percentage of activity is 87.57% in the very effective category and the percentage of student learning outcomes is 81.80% in the effective category. Based on the results of this research and development has been valid, practical and effective

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of athletic learning outcomes in the 100 meter sprint number through the use of the Wrist Weights tool in class X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Merangin. The research method used is classroom action research with the subjects of class X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Merangin consisting of 31 students. The research was conducted in two cycles of action. In the first and second cycles, an initial test of student performance was given, the teacher observed students' activities in practicing using Wrist Weights during practice in teaching and learning activities. The actions given by students are the result of reflection on the use of wrist weights in exercises in learning. The results of the evaluation and reflection of the entire first and second cycles. In the second cycle, the students' learning mastery results were 83.87% and the class average was 84.25%, while the success rate of the first cycle was only 70.97% and the class average was 79.77%. The increase from the first cycle to the second cycle is 4.48 points. Based on the results of the evaluation and reflection of the second cycle, the Physical Education teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin was recommended to use Wrist Weights in the athletic learning of the 100 meter sprint number for students. Because learning using wrist weights helps teachers improve learning outcomes and make learning more interesting and varied

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of online learning motivation using google classroom on the reading skills of class XII students of MAN 1 Bungo. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population of this study were all students of class XII MAN 1 Bungo, totaling 151 students. The number of samples was determined using the Slovin formula, with a precision of 10% obtained 100 students as samples. Sampling with simple random side technique by means of lottery. Collecting data using a questionnaire technique with instruments in the form of statements and tests with instruments in the form of question items. The normality test used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov formula with the results of the data being normally distributed and the linearity test using the F-test formula with the results of the variable having a linear pattern. Test the correlation hypothesis using the Pearson Product-Momment formula with rcount : 0.213 and rttable : 0.195. It turns out that rcount > rtable or 0.213 > 0.195. It turns out that rcount > rtable or 0.213 > 0.195.  The significance test using the Z-test obtained the value of Zcount : 2,119 and Ztable : 1.960, it turns out that Zcount > Ztable or 2.199 > 1.960. The contribution of the X variable to the Y variable was determined using the coefficient of determination formula with the results of 4.54% and 95.46% influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between online learning motivation using google classroom and the reading skills of class XII students of MAN 1 Bungo for the 2020/2021 school year. The equation regression can be used to predict the value of reading skills based on a constant of 57.206 and a coefficient of 0.225 for learning motivation variables online (online) using google classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sociology by trying a social inquiry learning model. The research method used is classroom action research. The data were analyzed using quantitative analysis, which emphasized on improving student learning outcomes in depth. Next, analyze the problems that arise and then reflect on to find alternative solutions. The subjects of this study were students of class XII IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Merangin, totaling 30 people. The results showed that: (1) Sociology learning outcomes while using the social inquiry learning model could increase, it was seen in the first cycle that the average value of the pretest was 63.28 and the posttest was 71.82. This shows an increase in the class average score of 8.54. In the second cycle, it can be seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes, the average score of the pretest is 63.79 and the posttest is 74.41. This shows an increase in the class average score of 10.62. (2) The responses of students in class XII IPS 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin to the use of the social inquiry learning model indicate that students enjoy learning Sociology with this learning model.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving the biology learning outcomes of class XI IPS 1 students in the 2018/2019 academic year at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin through the STAD type cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 1, totaling 28 students. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets, diary journals, and tests. The data obtained were analyzed by means of reduction, data exposure and conclusions. Descriptive data analysis was also carried out for observational data and daily journal entries. The research was conducted in stages including: planning learning, determining basic competencies, developing learning scenarios according to the 2013 KTSP curriculum, preparing learning resources. At the stage of implementing the action, namely by carrying out actions according to the learning scenario, which includes initial activities, core activities, and closing. At the reflection stage, it is carried out after the learning process in class in each cycle. From the results of observations and journal entries, the study showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes as indicated by the average value of the results of the pretest and posttest implementation of each cycle. The average value of the pretest in cycle 1 was 53.93 and the average value of the posttest of students was 72.75. In cycle 2 the average value of the pretest was 60.29 and the average value of the posttest of students increased to 82.29. This means that it can be concluded that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve student biology learning outcomes on plant tissue material in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Merangin in the 2018/2019 school year.

Abstract

This study aims to increase learning motivation and text writing skills complex explanation in class XI TSM 1 SMKN 2 Merangin by applying the picture and picture type cooperative method. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class XI TSM 1 SMKN 2 Merangin, totaling 33 students. Sources of data in this study are informants and documents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The validity of the data using data triangulation techniques, method triangulation, and review of informants. Data analysis used comparative descriptive analysis technique. The research procedure is an interrelated spiral model. The results showed that the application of the picture and picture cooperative method can improve motivation and writing skills of complex explanatory texts in class XI TSM 1 SMKN 2 Merangin from pre-action to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. This is indicated by an increase in: (1) student motivation from cycle I to cycle II which is quite significant; (2) the average score of students' writing skills, from 49.09 in the pre-action to 72.07 in the first cycle, and 82.07 in the second cycle.

Abstract

The type of research used is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is a 4-D model (four-D models) which consists of 4 stages, namely: define, design, develop and disseminate. This research is limited to the stage of development, namely the validity and practicality test. The research instrument used was a questionnaire of validity and practicality. The e-module was validated by 6 validators while the practicality test was carried out by 2 chemistry teachers and 20 XI grade students of MIPA SMAN 7 Merangin and 20 XI grade students oh MIPA SMAN 20 Merangin. Data from the validity and practicality test results were ana lyzed using the cohen kappa formula. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average kappa moment of validity test was 0,87 with a very high validity category and the average kappa moment of teacher practicality was 0,88, students of SMAN 7 Merangin were 0,87 and students of SMAN 20 Merangin were 0,88 with a very high practicality category. Thus, it was concluded that acid base e-module based on discovery learning was produced for valid and practical high school students.

Abstract

Achievement motivation is a factor in determining student learning outcomes. Based on the initial survey of the achievement motivation of the students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University, it is still not as expected. These symptoms are closely related to learning discipline. This study aims to find out empirically how much influence learning discipline has on achievement motivation. This study uses a quantitative method by using the regression method and taking samples using the Stratified Propotinal Random Sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a literal scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS computer program. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant influence of learning discipline on achievement motivation of students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Two Stay Two Stray type of cooperative learning model to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VII A MTs SMQ Titian Teras. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), the subjects of this research are students of class VII A MTs SMQ Titian Teras totaling 31 people. The data collection instruments were activity observation sheets and mathematical concept understanding test sheets. The data analysis technique used statistical formulas and simple percentages. The research was conducted in III cycles. The results showed that students' understanding of mathematical concepts increased from 32.25% in the first cycle to 64.51% in the second cycle and increased to 93.54% in the third cycle. 70

Abstract

The research uses the synergetic teaching learning method. The type of research used is experimental quantitative by connecting two variables, namely the synergetic teaching learning method as the independent variable and the learning outcomes of biology as the dependent variable. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Merangin as many as two classes consisting of 42 students. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. The sample selected was class XI A as the experimental class and class XI B as the control class. Data were collected using a test technique in the form of an essay test on the structure of various tissues found in plants. The results of the analysis of the final test data obtained an average of 60,681 in the experimental class, variance 77322,925 and standard deviation 278.07, while the control class obtained data of 53.9, variance 55198,683, and standard deviation 234,944. The analysis technique used t-test. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained tcount = 3.760 and ttable = 1.684. Because tcount > ttable , Ho rejected and H1 accepted. This means that the biology learning outcomes of students using the synergetic teaching learning method are better than the students' biology learning outcomes using the conventional model of class XI science students at SMA Negeri 9 Merangin
