Abstract

This article will examine one of Cianjur's local wisdoms, namely beluk art, its context and rumpaka. The data were obtained by descriptive analytical method,that is to examine and describe seni beluk qualitatively. Seni beluk is a type of art that is closely related to wawacan literature that uses pupuh rules. Commonly, seni beluk is performed at the 40 days old-baby birth ceremony, but gradually the pattern of life of society develops so that seni beluk is not only presented at the 40 days old-baby ceremony but also at a ceremonial event related with circumcision , wedding and religion ceremonials. Considering its presentation,  seni beluk still holds the tradition and culture the of ancestors.Keywords:beluk, local wisdom, lyrics

Abstract

This study aims to invent the equivalent of the latest foreign-Indonesian term as a means of introducing Indonesian language to foreign speakers (BIPA). This research uses  qualitative approach. Data are obtained through reading and noting the equivalents of foreign-Indonesian terminology in dictionaries, books, and newspapers. This study uses content review techniques. The results of this study show about 5.800 equivalents of foreign-Indonesian terms covering eight study areas namely, (1) business and finance, (2) tourism, (3) sport, (4) property, (5) transportation and communication, (6) industry, (7) beauty and personal equipment, and (8) information and electronics.Keywords: inventory, equivalents of the latest foreign-Indonesian, BIPA

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the lack of students' interest in learning to write poetry and lack of interest in literature. In addition, teaching materials based on local wisdom are still rarely used in learning Indonesian. In connection with this, this paper will describe the utilization of the skills and abilities of students in writing poetry. The method used in the research is descriptive. The research technique used is content analysis, interviews, and tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the average value of kakawihan's poetry writing ability in class VII of SMP N 3 Cianjur is 77.9 is in a good category with 76-85 mastery interval. The highest score of students in writing kakawihan poetry is 87 obtained by one student (4%), and the lowest value is 73 obtained by 5 students  (20%). Thus, kakawihan kaulinan barudak can be used as teaching material in learning Indonesian language based on local wisdom.Keywords: writing poetry, kakawihan kaulinan barudak

Abstract

This article discusses the learning of writing short stories with transformational techniques, transforming Sundanese Cianjuran songs into a short story. The study was applied to students of class IX at SMP Bina Utama in 2017-2018. The research method used is the experimental method (Pre Experimental Desaign). The sample used is the IXE class and it is chosen based on certain considerations. The instruments used are observation and tests. The results showed that the results of learning to write short stories before using text transformation techniques (pretest) were classified as low, with an average pretest score of 50.68, while using the text transformation technique (posttest) the results were in the medium category, with the average posttest result was 65,45. Then, after being compared with the t-test, the significance value of the data before and after treatment is 0,000, which means the significance value is 0,000 <0,05, then H0 is rejected. From the results of the significance test, it can be said that the treatment (learning technique) that has been applied in this study is the text transformation technique in writing short stories successfully increasing students' short story writing skills.Keywords: writing,  short stories, transformation, tembang Sunda

Abstract

This article reveals the effectiveness of using inductive learning models to find religious values in the short story. The method used in the study is PTK. The experiment was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. The study was conducted in grade XI MAN Cianjur. The results showed that inductive models can enhance the learning process, especially the attention of students in learning and students cooperation in group discussions. In the first cycle, in terms of students attention, from 44 students there are 29 students (65.90%) paid attention, and in terms of cooperation of the students in group discussions, there were 27 students (61.36%) are cooperative. In the second cycle, from 44 students there were 33 students (75%) who paid attention, and regarding the cooperation of the group, there are 30 students (68.18%) who are cooperative. In the third cycle, from 44 students there are 38 students (86.36%) who paid attention, and regarding group cooperation there are 39 students (88.64%)who are cooperative. The student’ results in the first cycle obtained an average value of 68.64, in the second cycle the average value was 77.16, and in the third cycle the average value was 91.82. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of inductive learning model on learning of finding religious values on the short story in class XI MAN Cianjur can enhance the learning process and student learning outcomes.Keywords: religious value, inductive models, processes and outcomes
