Abstract

Classical music stimulation is a proven method that affect intelligence as well as brain function. Mozart’s classical music is classical music that could stimulate the growth of synaptic networks. To analyze the difference of synapsin expression of the brain of Rattus norvegicus  offspring on Mozart’s, pop, religious and without music stimulation during pregnancy. Experimental. Treatments were subjected to Rattus norvegicusas a subject organism, initiated on the 10th day of pregnancy, in 1 hour duration in a soundproof chamber, intensity of 65 dB. On the 19th day of pregnancy the subjects were sacrificed and three offsprings were chosen. The head of the chosen Rattus norvegicusoffsprings were decapitated and the brain subsequently sectioned to calculate synapsin expression by immunohistochemistry method with 400 magnification strength microscope on the 5 field of view. Significant difference of synapsin expression of the brain of Rattus norvegicus offspring was observed between Mozart’s and control group. Significant differences of synapsin expressions were observed in the cerebellum of the newly born Rattus novergicus between Mozart and pop music groups (p = 0,007), Mozart and religious music groups (p = 0,008), Mozart and without music groups (p = 0,004).Synapsin expression of Rattus norvegicus brain offsprings were higher in Mozart music stimulation compared with pop and religious music stimulation

Abstract

Purpose: Enterococcus faecalis causes nosocomial infections such as bacteremia, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, and endocarditis. These infection is associated with biofilm and intrinsically resistant to many antibiotics. This study aims to determine the validity of the CRA and MCRA for detecting biofilms of Enterococcus faecalis  Method: This is a laboratory observational study with 30 sample of Enterococcus faecalis. We performed biofilm examination for Enterococcus faecalis by using Congo red Agar, Modified Congo red Agar and Microtitter Plate Assay as gold standard. Result: Both MCRA and CRA were compared MPA as a gold standard was obtained p value is 0.309 (p> 0.05), with a Kappa agreement coefficient is 0.067, which indicates there is no significant agreement to detect biofilm of Enterococcus faecalis. MCRA and CRA have almost no compatibility with MPA for biofilm forming of Enterococcus faecalis. Conclusion: Both MCRA and CRA has a very high sensitivity (100%), but the specificity is very low 6.67% for detecting the biofilms of Enterococcus faecalis. MCRA and CRA can not determine negativity well and it have a high false positive rate, so to increase specificity of biofilm forming, we must combine these method with the others. Keywords: Biofilm, Enterococcus faecalis, CRA, MCRA, MPA.

Abstract

Background : Nutritional status problems have many causes, including genetic, body metabolic conditions, behavior, environment, culture, and socioeconomic factors. One environmental factor that receives relatively limited attention is that children are exposed to undue stress, especially family stress. One of the factors influencing a child's nutritional status is his family. Family functions that run well can optimize the process of growth and development of children which can be described by the nutritional status. Optimization of nutritional status in children can not only be done from a clinical approach alone but needs holistic comprehensive management. Objective : The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of a holistic comprehensive health service approach through family functions on optimizing the nutritional status of junior high school students.Method : This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach with the subjects of Malang City's "Z" Junior High School  students. Implementation in May- August 2019. The research subjects were 265 people with multistage random sampling. Data collection by interview. The analysis is displayed in the form of frequency distribution and correlation using the Spearman test and logistic regressionResults and Discussion : Family function is quite influential on nutritional status (r = 0.445). In logistic regression, the equation Y = 8.563-0.582X1 - 0.992X2-0.606X3 is obtained. The most  influential family function is partnership of 99.2%. Partnership describes communication,  mutual sharing, mutual complementarity between  family members in  all problems faced by family members, as well as the level of deliberation in making decisions and or resolving a problem that is being faced with other family members. Comprehensive holistic health service approach is sufficient effect on nutritional status (r = 0.463).Conclusion : The holistic comprehensive health service approach gives sufficient influence on the nutritional status of students in Malang City's "Z" Junior High School.
