Abstract

This article discusses possibilities and opportunities for undertaking the liturgical education of children. Liturgical education is very important for every person in the Church-from bishops, priests, and seminarians, to lay people. But a suitable and proper liturgical education should begin gradually from an early age, from childhood to adulthood. Liturgical education should begin from childhood so that growing up into mature and responsible adult children can truly be strong pillars for the future of the Church and of society. Liturgical education of children in the Archdiocese of Samarinda faces the various challenges and the possibilities obtaining in the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese of Samarinda has programs that concern the liturgical education of children. This liturgical education of children programs is expected to be able to help faces various challenges in the Archdiocese and find a new solution that make the programs more effective and stimulating.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the level of discipline of SMP Negeri 1 Jempang students who live in the female student dormitory of St. Yosef Freinadementz and those who do not live in the dormitory whether there are similarities or differences in the discipline. This study uses a descriptive comparative approach. Observations and in-depth interviews were used to determine student discipline. The data collected were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the average score of students living in dormitories is 74.86 with a total score of 374.3. Meanwhile, students who live outside the dormitory get an average score of 75.2 with a total score of 378.6. This value shows that students who live outside the dormitory have slightly better discipline than students who live in the dormitory. It is known that the factors that influence the discipline of students who live in dormitories are family factors, the surrounding environment, and peers.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the similarities and differences between Belian and the Sacrament Anointing of The Sick. The similarities and differences can be seen through the concept of disease and the concept of healing. The research was conducted at Tanjung Isuy and Tanjung Jan Villages. The research method used was descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation study. The number of informants in the study was six people. Based on the research result, the researcher finds similarities and differences in the concept of disease and the concept of healing. Similarities and differences can be seen through several elements, namely: the reason why humans are sick, the types and forms of the disease, the subject causing illness, and the process of being sick. Then the similarities and differences in the concept of healing can be seen in the way of healing, the cause of healing, the subject who has the power to heal, the reason for the disease to heal, and the human process of being healed.

Abstract

Saving natural resources, protecting the environment and preserving local culture is a tough job given the complexity of the problem. The way to uncover problems and environmental crimes and destroyers of natural resources is by "Scientific Evidence" or "Scientific Approach". The role of academic freedom and civil liberties is very much needed in environmental protection, natural resource management and preservation of local culture. Academic freedom must always hold on scientific evidence and the basic principles of academic freedom. Surabaya's five basic principles of academic freedom can be used to develop the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Civil liberties can hold on to state regulations and local customs or culture. Experts (academics) and local environmental and cultural activists must be protected from acts of legal terror or the Strategy of Law Swiet Again Public Partipation (SLAPP)". Academic freedom and civil liberties must be maintained and developed for sustainable development, natural resource management, environmental protection and preservation of local culture. The Bedouin, Dayak, Balinese, Javanese, Minang, Acehnese, Sundanese, Batak, Bugis, Papuan and other cultures in protecting the environment and local culture should be an example or model. In practice the tribe can maintain local culture because it maintains a space for civil liberties called "deliberation and consensus" and maintains communication between groups or tribes with the principle of "Unity in Diversity" for the creation of "A Fairness or Social Justice".

Abstract

This paper intends to describe the duties and functions of educators and education management which are one part of the eight national education standards. This study uses a qualitative research method of literature study (library research). The results of this study indicate that the duties and management functions of educators and education personnel are carried out based on statutory regulations with the aim of improving the quality of national education, developing science, technology and arts, as well as serving the community. The implementation of duties and functions of educators and education management consists of six components, namely: (a) planning, (b) recruitment, (c) job placement, (d) compensation, (e) coaching and development, (f) evaluating. Management functions and duties have implications for schools in dealing with shortages of educators and education personnel through recruitment. Coaching and development is also carried out through individual learning, training and advanced education, both by working groups of teachers, schools, and the education office.
