Abstract

Abstract: Special effort (UPSUS) program of sustainable self-sufficiency is one of the government efforts in manifesting food security. UPSUS of food self-sufficiency is focused on three types of main food commodities that are rice, corn, and soybean (PAJALE). UPSUS PAJALE program aims to increase the production of rice, corn, and soybean so that it reaches sustainable food self-sufficiency. Jember Regency is one of the corn centrals running UPSUS PAJALE program. Ambulu Sub District is one of the areas running UPSUS PAJALE program for new planting areas extension (PATB) of corn in Jember Regency. PATB program of corn leads to new planting extension. The PATB activity of corn supports the farmers in cultivating corn because there is facility assistance in the form of corn seed. The activity brings up farmers response in conducting corn farming activity. Farmers response can be knowledge, attitude, and behavior of farmers taking an important effect on the PATB activity implementation of corn. This research aims to (1) find out the farmers respond on UPSUS PAJALE program, and (2) find out factors affecting the farmers response on UPSUS PAJALE program. The research area determination with the purposive method was Ambulu Sub District Jember Regency. Sample determination method was by simple random sampling with total samples as 63 farmer respondents. Data collection method was by observation, interview, and documentation. The tools of analysis used proportion test of Z-statistic and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research showed that (1) Farmers response on PATB activity of corn on UPSUS PAJALE program to increase corn production in Ambulu Sub District Jember Regency included in high response category. (2) Factors affecting the farmers response significantly on PATB activity of corn on UPSUS PAJALE program in Ambulu Sub District Jember Regency are price, visit frequency of field extension officer (PPL) and education. Factors not affecting significantly on the farmers response on PATB activity of corn on UPSUS PAJALE program in Ambulu Sub District Jember Regency are land area, age, farm management, and land ownership. Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of the study are (1) Analyzing the Activity of Farmer Groups in Soak Batok Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) To calculate the amount of farmer rice farming income in the Soak Batok Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) For analyze the relationship between the level of activeness of farmer group members to the income of farmers in the lowland rice farming in Soak Batok Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. In this research, the method used is the survey method. Sampling was carried out by Stratified Random Sampling method by taking 40 farmers from a population of 385 populations. The results showed that the level activity members of the Farmer Group are 6.50 classified in the active category. The total income of farmer paddy farmers there is a difference in income, namely for the good category of farmer groups amounting to Rp30,278,067.53 while for the Farmer groups the category of less good is Rp26,726,411.00. There is relationship of significant the level of activity of farmer group members to the income of farmers. Keyword: Farmer Group Activeness, Revenue

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the superior agricultural sub-sector, (2) identify leading agricultural sub-sector potential commodities to be developed as economic drivers in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, (3) determine the pattern and structure of growth of the leading agricultural sub-sectors and commodities in Ogan Regency Komering Ulu. The method used is a purposive method. The data used are time series data, that is, secondary data of the OKU Regency GRDP at current prices (2013-2017) and data on the area of agricultural commodity production over a period of 5 years (2014-2018). The analysis shows that the estate crops sub-sector is the leading agricultural sub-sector in OKU Regency. The main agricultural commodities of the estate crops subsector are oil palm, coconut, rubber, coffee, sugar cane and pepper. The patterns of growth in agriculture and leading commodities in the Ogan Komering Ulu Regency consist of: the plantation and forestry sub-sectors as fast-growing subsectors. While the food crops sub-sector is an advanced but depressed sub-sector, while the Livestock and Fisheries sub-sector are relatively lagging. Leading commodities in the estate crops sub-sector such as oil palm, coconut and cocoa are advanced and fast developing commodities; while rubber and coffee are included in developing commodities; for sugar cane and pepper, including commodities that are relatively left behind.

Abstract

Abstract: West Kalimantan is one of the Indonesias provinces with strategic location because it is adjacent with neighboring country (Malaysia). The location within the border area and crossed by equator line is expected in impacting the tourism industry. This research aims to examine and to analyse the influence of tourism marketing mix towards the domestic and foreign tourists satisfaction. Population in this research is the tourists visiting Pontianak.. Sampling method was done by using purposive sampling with total amount of 242 people. Data collection by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The result shows that there are different variables influence both domestic and foreign tourists satisfaction. For the domestic tourists; product, price, promotion, and physical evidence impact their satisfaction. However for the foreign tourist, only variable of promotion and people, while the other five variables is not significantly impacted. Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper investigated the contribution of religion to an investor investment decision in financial market. A survey involving 150 employees was conducted. The result indicated differences in investment choice decisions between Muslim and non Muslim respondents. There was large number of Muslims who choice stock market to place their fund based on the fatwa that issued by Majelis Ulama Indonesia (Indonesia Muslim council). In contrast, a majority of non Muslims do not have any objection to placed their funding in religion affiliated investment. Religiosity was viewed from a Interpretive paradigms and Ethnographic Methods and accordingly four sets of instruments were used : Descriptive questions, Ethnographic Analytic Interview, Structural questions and Contrast questions. Descriptive questions delivered to find out respondent response to varied questions, Ethnographic questions delivered to find out respondent uniqueness background characteristics and how is it influencing their preferences of investment. The structural questions delivered to find out respondent responses to specific questions on investment. While contrast questions was delivered to find out final decision a contrary choice in investment. The result showed that there is significant contribution from religious affiliation toward investment decision with limited implementation of code of standard and principle of the rules. Abstract

Abstract: Waste has become a global issue that worries the world because of increasing waste production due to increasing population and higher living standards. Areas that have activities and densely populated certainly cannot avoid this disaster, even it makes difficult for local governments to solve this problem. UCLG ASPAC in this case acts as an international organization whose aim to realize sustainable development in the urban areas of Asia Pacific countries that can help to deal with waste. This study uses the theory of the role of inter-governmental organizations (IGO) according to Clive J. Archer. The results of this research analysis of the role of UCLG ASPAC can be assumed to be instruments, arenas, and independent actors in handling waste in Jakarta. And can strengthen aspects of regulative, normative, cognitive culture together with the Pemprov DKI Jakarta to work together to solve the waste problem that has not been completed.
