Abstract

This study uses data from the survey IFLS-4 (Indonesia Family Live Surveys-wave 4) to analyze the impact of competition between lenders on cli­ent behaviour. IFLS-4 contains data on self-reported habits of community residents (312 community) decision to access to Islamic Micro Finance Institu­tion (Islamic MFI), named Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT). This data con­tains specific type of BMT’s location which could be accessed by community, with variously geographical distances. This data also is enriched by the presence of another type of conventional MFI. This study found that in­creased competition suggesting clients to change their behaviour. The pres­ence of conventional MFI and theirs proximity as indicator of competition, very instrumental in determining access to BMT. Interesting finding, for religious type borrowers, they tend to sustain their access to BMT whose more far geographical distance, even conventional MFI presence inside their vil­lage. Thus, this study suggests that the expansion of financial inclusion stra­tegy of Islamic MFI should also be specifically determined by behaviour of and the BMT’s location among the community.

Abstract

The theme of the research is "Banks and Financial Institutions".This research was conducted to analyse the impact of asset diversification on bank to its market value. By using 11 banks which are categorized as banks that have core capital more than 500 trillion Rupiah and also listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) since 2004 as a research sample, we found that conglomerate discount was exist on bank that having a small asset only. Otherwise, the more diversified bank, the higher its market value.

Abstract

The theme of the article is the banks and financial institutions. Nowadays the banking industry is entering a period where competition has become very competitive. Competition is such a great challenge for every company. Hence a strong work discipline is required from every employee in order to survive and win the competition The main objective of this research is to thoroughly determine The Influence of Work Discipline on Employee Performance at BPR Rokan Hulu. The sampling technique used is census method where the whole population is taken into account in which in this research amounted to 41 respondent. The recapitulation result of respondents answer on Work Discipline (X) get average value 3.64 and Results Summary of Answers the respondents about Employees Performance (Y) get average value 3.79 . This result indicates that the criteria of respondents answer is agreed. Based on the research result, Work Discipline influences significant of the Performance of Employees. It shows the significant influence of Work Discipline on Employee Performance. This refers to t count > t table which is 10.770 > 2.023, then H1 is accepted. This is proven by testing the Coefficient of Determination (R2) with a yield equal to 74.8%.

Abstract

The theme of the article is "economy based on the principles of Islam". This research aims to determine how the use of funds Zakat in the BAZNAS of east Lombok Timur. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with field research type. Zakat is a financial obligation which is taken from the rich who have become obligatory zakat to be submitted to the people that the criteria have been specified in the law. Zakat basically has great potential to become financial solution, with the nature of zakat that never exhausted or even stop. Because zakat as the religious obligation taht must be fulfilled by a Muslim every year or in the others predetermined time. Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) as the formal management zakat institutions in Indonesia, distribute zakat fund to the zakat recipient (mustahik), especially for the indigent and poor people through consumptive zakat to but their daily basic needs, and also can be a productively zakat to gain their business assets. Just as the mustahik utilize the zakat funds for their efforts as a household can produce an economy that can meet the needs of his life. In addition, some are using the funds that have been received zakat to raise cattle and goats. Not apart from the purpose of zakat itself which one of them is to alleviate the mustahiq of poverty, Because zakat funds are not used consumptively, but productively managed and maximized in order to prosper the community. But it is different with the mustahik in BAZNAS; they utilize zakat funds not in accordance with the designation. This is due to the lack of monitoring from BAZNAS staff.

Abstract

Historically the economy of early Islam is far more developed than conven­tional economics. One of the important theory of Islamic and capitalism eco­nomics is related to consumption. In Islamic economics should consumed in order to find Ridha Allah SWT. A conviction and systems that can save the world from the greed of man as homo economicus. However, the rapid eco­nomic progress and the widespread network of conventional capitalism, con­sumption theory of Islam into the unknown in the academic world, especially in everyday life. However, the same progressiveness could bring the world in the unrecoverable and uncontrollable progressiveness. Progressive-power that inherent in the global capitalism has the tendency to lead the world into undetermined, injustice and hegemonic situation. This paper would discover this human’s live.

Abstract

This paper aims to see how big the potential of cash waqf through national voucher waqf in Indonesia and how big the potential of national vouchers on social security consisting of health, education and venture capital. This paper uses the writing of quantitative methods. Where this paper describes the collection of cash waqf through a national voucher consisting of a national voucher Rp. 5.000,-, national voucher Rp. 10.000,- national voucher Rp. 20.000,-, national voucher Rp. 50.000,-, and national voucher Rp. 100.000,- which is burdened to the Indonesian society aged 15 years and over, along with the potential and empowerment of cash waqf obtained from the national voucher that will be allocated to health, education and venture capital.

Abstract

Research themes are banks and financial institutions. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect compensation in Bank Danamon Simpan Pinjam Unit Ps. Kota Duri. The populations in this study are employees of Bank Danamon Simpan Pinjam Unit Ps. Kota Duri which amounted to 32 people. Sampling was conducted using random sampling. The data analysis is done by using a reliability test, normality, F test, multiple linear regression R2 test and t test. The results showed that the independent variables affect compensation, with a value of correlation R = 0.999, which indicates a very strong relationship between productivity, ability to pay, willingness to pay, employee organizations and regulatory legislation with compensation. While the adjusted R-square in the can 0.997, which means productivity, ability to pay, willingness to pay, employee organizations and regulatory laws have contributed a contribution of 99.7% of the compensation.

Abstract

Islamic stocks as one of the many stocks listed on the JCI are a barometer of the Islamic market in Indonesia. One approach in predicting stock prices is by using machine learning. The purpose of this study is to make a model that is used to predict JII shares using the LSTM approach. The data used amounted to 1402 records related to the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) stock from March 4, 2014 - January 2, 2019. Model making uses 3 Epochs (1, 10 and 20). The results showed the best model was to use 20 Epochs. The increase in Epoch affects the value  of MSE and RMSE which are getting smaller. For Epoch 20, the values of MSE and RMSE are ~ 0.00019 and~0.014, respectively.

Abstract

The theme of the article is the banks and financial institutions. This study aims to determine the implementation of Islamic rules in the management of "zakat profesi". Management views of managers understanding of the principles of Islam. The research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. Resource is the management and participants "Program Peduli Dhuafa". The results showed the “zakat profesi” management has implemented the rules of Islam. In executing the management has implemented four properties ie Muhammad SAW: siddiq, amanah, tabligh and fathonah.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of service quality on satisfaction and loyalty of Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) members who become members of the Sharia Cooperative Center (PUSKOPSYAH) in Jambi. The development of BMT in Jambi is quite slow compared to other provinces on the SumatraIsland; so this research was carried out in Jambi City. This research design used quantitative methods with a survey approach. The type of data used was primary data. Primary data were obtained through distributing questionnaires to respondents who members of five BMTs become members of PUSKOPSYAH in Jambi, with a total sample of 140 respondents taken using the purposive sampling method. Quantitative data was processed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method with SmartPLS 3 software. From the resultsof this study showed that Service Quality has a significant effect on satisfaction and satisfaction has significant effect on loyalty. Meanwhile, Service Quality variable does not significantly influence the loyalty of BMT members.
