Abstract

This research is based on the lack of understanding of student learning in learning in primary schools. It is affected by the inappropriate use of teaching model, teaching management and the low of students’ critical thinking skills. The formulation of the problem in this study is what points that appear related to the effect of the applicaton of cooperative learning models on students understanding of learning in thematic learning based on previous studies.The type of research used by the researches was literature study, it examined 13 journals and 1 thesis. This study aims to find out what points that appear related to the effect of the application of cooperative learning models to the understanding of student learning in thematic learning based on previous studies. After studying 13 journals and 1 thesis, it was found that 3 points were made as a result of research, cooperative learning model can increase student cooperation in a study group, cooperative learning model can increase student communication skills, cooperative learning models can improve students’ learning achievement. Based on the 3 points above, the result of the study indicates that there is an influence of the application of the cooperative learning model towards students’ understanding of learning in the thematic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the achievement of mathematical problems solving ability between students who acquired learning with Problem Based Learning model with students who acquired learning with Guided Discovery Learning model. This research was a mixed method research with concurrent embedded method. This research consists of experimental group that obtained learning with Guided Discovery Learning method and Problem Based Learning method. The population of this research was a junior high school students in Tanah Datar regency, West Sumatera with sample of grade VIII. Data analysis was done quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis was used to calculate the difference in the achievement of mathematical problem solving ability, while qualitative data analysis was used to strengthen the result of quantitative analysis. The results showed that the percentage of the achievement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who obtained learning with Guided Discovery Learning method and Problem Based Learning method is moderate, whereas there is no difference in the achievement of significant mathematical problem solving ability between the two experimental classes.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of a class teacher teaching skills improvement program. Therefore, it is necessary to improve teacher teaching skills through classroom supervision at UPT SDN 20 Sitiung, Dharmasraya, West Sumatra Province in the 2020/2021 school year. The purpose of this study was to improve classroom teacher skills through cooperative learning. The method used is "School Action Research", which is divided into two cycles, and each cycle is divided into four stages, planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques are carried out by observing and evaluating directly the improvement of teacher skills in teaching. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. In the first round the proportion of teachers teaching through cooperative learning was 51.39%, still far from the minimum target of ≥70%, therefore it is necessary to carry out the second round. In the second cycle the teacher's teaching skills increased to 84.72% which had exceeded the goals to be achieved. The conclusion that can be drawn is the effort to increase the application of cooperative learning teaching skills of teachers in this learning process can be applied in UPT SDN 20 Sitiung.

Abstract

Student learning activity is still low and student learning outcomes are still in the average range or have not reached the maximum value as expected. This makes the teacher to find the right solution so that the student's score is in accordance with what is expected. Especially in chemical elements which is taught in class XII IPA TP 2017/2018, this material is classified as boring, needs analysis and a broad coverage that requires students to be able to understand and memorize and analyze carefully. Learning with the lecture method has not made students able to understand the concept well. Conditions that challenge students to be involved and more active in the learning process One way that can be done is to increase student involvement in learning through the application of the Cooperative Learning model using student learning assignments. The implementation of this research consisted of two cycles with each cycle consisting of four meetings. The first meeting students learned using the lecture method, and student activities were observed by an observer. The next meeting was given a student learning assignment sheet. As a data collection tool was an observation sheet which filled by observers, with the steps for planning the action, implementing the action, evaluating and reflecting on each cycle. From the research, it was found that there was an increase in activity and student learning outcomes using cooperative learning models using student learning assignments.Keyword : Learning activities, learning outcomes, cooperative learning models

Abstract

This study investigates  problem of learning anxiety experienced by students and shows that. This is very important because developmental task that adolescent students must have is Emotional independence which will support him / her to develop their personality, complete study assignments and plan future careers. Most of  students in guidance class did not understand how to deal with learning anxiety problems. Research method chosen was classroom action research (PTK) whose activities were based on  cycle consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Development of cycle depends on the reflection that is done in each cycle. Tools used were observation guidelines and reflection notes for each cycle. Way to draw conclusions  to process the data quantitatively and describe results qualitatively. The findings in the study were: 1) level of student anxiety showed that  behavioral group counseling showed a decrease in the level of student anxiety seen from an average value of 18 or 51.43% to 3 (8.75%) which indicated a significant reduction in anxiety problems. , 2) seen that student's activeness shows an increase in percentage from 34.29% in first cycle to 85.71% in second cycle, which means that with behavioral counseling all students can be actively involved in activities aimed at alleviating anxiety problems they experience. Conclusion is that behavioral group counseling can reduce student learning anxiety, which changes students' understanding of importance of reducing anxiety in learning. So, authors suggest that behavioral group coaching can be applied not only to coaching activities, but also learning activities in general.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on phenomenon that exists in SMP N 4 Koto Baru which shows that there are students who have a low level of motivation to learn. Purpose of this study was to determine description of student learning motivation before receiving group guidance services, to determine description of student learning motivation after receiving group guidance services, and to find out whether learning motivation can be improved through group guidance services. Type of research used in this research is Action Research Guidance and Counseling by carrying out two cycles. Subjects of this study were 10 grade VII students of SMP N 4 Koto Baru consisting of 8 students with low learning motivation and 2 students who have high learning motivation, so that group dynamics occur. Data collection methods used were interviews, learning motivation scale and observation. Results showed that learning motivation of students before receiving treatment in form of group guidance was 44.4% in low category. After being given group guidance services at cycle I, student learning motivation increased to moderate category by 65%. Meanwhile, in cycle II student learning motivation continued to increase into high category with a gain of 74%. This shows that group guidance services can increase learning motivation in grade VII students at SMP N 4 Koto Baru.

Abstract

Batam Pertiwi Vocational School is the first vocational school in Nongsa sub-district, this school has majoring in TKJ (Computer Network Engineering), Accounting and Nursing, the problems that exist in Batam Pertiwi Batam are implementation that is still manual and value processing takes a long time and costs Great for printing questions and answer sheets. Making an android-based online exam system in the form of an application to facilitate teachers and students in the implementation of the exam. The application is designed using the Mysql database, the interface design uses Android Studio and this application is installed using an android smartphone. After the online exam application, students and teachers are easier to carry out online examinations so it does not take a long time and incur huge costs and realizes SMK Pertiwi Batam as a modern and digital-based vocational school of industrial era 4.0.
