Abstract

The material for hydrocarbons is quite dense but the allocation of study time at school is limited so that learning becomes less than optimal. Teaching materials are needed that can help students learn in class and independent learning outside of school. Technological developments allow teaching materials to be developed in electronic format. This teaching material can be used anywhere and anytime which is accessed via a mobile phone. In general, students already use Android, but it has not been widely used in learning. The teaching materials used in MAN 2 Kerinci are not yet scientific. Research was carried out with the aim of developing interactive e-modules through an android application based on guided discovery learning on hydrocarbon material for class XI SMA/MA and determining its validity and practicality. The type of research used is educational design research with a plomp development model. The instruments used in this study were validation and practicality questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Aiken's V formula and the practicality percentage formula. Based on the research data, the validation test shows that the e-module is valid (0.83). The practicality test shows that the value of practicality for teachers and students is very practical (91% and 83%) in small groups.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the use of the Flipped-Guided Inquiry Based Learning Learning Model on Chemical Equilibrium Materials. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA N 8 Padang. The sample class was selected based on the purposive sampling technique, so that the XI MIPA 2 class was obtained as the experimental class and the XI MIPA 1 class as the control class. Data were analyzed using N-gain test and t-test. The instrument of this research is a test of learning outcomes by giving a pretest and posttest in the form of objective questions that are arranged based on the learning objectives. The results showed that the average pretest and posttest scores had different results, namely 53.125 in the experimental class and 48.939 in the control class. So that the average N-gain test is 0.78 in the high category experimental class and 0.68 moderate category control class. It is also supported by the results of the hypothesis test, namely the t-test, with Tcount (3.327) > Ttable (1.669) at a significant level of 0.05 with dk = 63 and probability t0.95. It can be concluded that the Flipped-Guided Inquiry Based Learning Model on Chemical Equilibrium Material is proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Alkanols and Alkoxy Alkanes are one of the material for carbon compounds studied in the even semester of grade XII SMA/MA. It studies the structures, nomenclatures, isomers, physical properties, chemical reactions, synthesis, uses, and the infrared spectrums. In the discussion, this material has interconnected orders. Problem-Based Learning Model is one of the learning models used to study this material. This research aims to develop a student worksheet based on Problem Based Learning on Alkanol and Alkoxy Alkane materials and to determine its validity category. This was a Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model consisting of four stages: define, design, develop and disseminate. This research was limited to the development stage. The research instrument was a validity questionnaire given to five expert validators. The validity data of the PBL-based student worksheet were analyzed by using the Aiken’s V formula scale. The analysis showed that the LKPD was very valid (0.86).

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the education system in Indonesia, especially in the implementation of learning. Due to a lack of time, learning using a scientific approach does not go well. One way to overcome time constraints is to use discussion techniques in learning. Therefore, research is needed that aims to compare student learning outcomes using the Guided Inquiry and Discovery Learning learning models using the Buzz Group discussion technique on acid-base titration material. The research population was all students of class XI, IPA MAN 1, Kota Bukittinggi, consisting of 4 classes. The sample is determined by the random sampling technique. Class XI IPA 1, the experimental class, uses the guided inquiry model, and class XI IPA 2, the experimental class, uses the guided discovery model with the buzz group discussion technique. Posttest data collection was done in the form of essay questions, with a total of 65 questions. The results showed that there were differences in the average scores of the two experimental classes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was concluded that learning using the guided inquiry and guided discovery models with the buzz group discussion technique differed significantly.

Abstract

Benzene and its derivatives are aromatic compounds studied on the second semester of grade XII SMA/MA. Structure, nomenclature, physical properties, chemical reactions, uses and harmful and harmless benzene derivatives are the material studied on this topic. In the discussion of this material has interconnected regularities. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is one of the learning models used to study this material. Producing student worksheet-based PBL and determining the validity categories were the purposes of this study. 4-D models (define, design, develop, disseminate) were used in this study. This study is limited to the develop stage, namely the validity test. The product was validated by 3 chemistry lecturers from FMIPA UNP and 2 chemistery teachers at SMAN 1 Koto Baru Dharmasraya. The instrument validity questionnaire was analyzed by using the Aiken V formula. The results of the analysis revealed that the developed LKPD was “very valid” resulting 0,85.
