Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the gratitude intervention to improve subjective welfare for victims of sexual abuse. Many of the effects of sexual abuse include low of self-confidence,low of self-esteem, depression, anxiety, fear of rape and increased fear of other criminal acts. This condition causes the woman becoma low of well being , which tends to feel dissatisfied with their lives, does not feel happiness and often feels negative emotions such as anxiety and anger. Therefore, it is necessary to handle efforts so that victims of sexual abuse can improve their welfare. One way that can be done is to provide a gratitude intervention. Gratitude is the construction of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral. Gratitude as cognitive construction is shown by recognizing the generosity and kindness of the blessings that have been received and focusing on the positive things in him today. As an emotional construction, gratitude is characterized by the ability to change the emotional response to an event so that it becomes more meaningful. Quantitative data analysis using nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Qualitative data analysis from observations and interviews. The result of data analysis shows that the probability is 0.021, this value indicates that the probability is below 0.05. So it can be concluded that the gratitude intervention can improve subjective well-being of sexually abused victim Keywords: Gratitude, subjective well-being, women victims of sexual abuse

Abstract

This study aims to reduce social anxiety in deaf adolescents through psychoeducation of social skills. The research design used was quasi experiment Oneqroup Pretest-Posttest design with psychoeducation intervention of social skills. Sample of this research was 6 (six) students selected by purposive sampling technique through observation stage and direct interview both to student and teacher of class which was in SMA Karya Mulia Surabaya. The collected data was analyzed by using mannwhitneytest and the result was Z = - 2,741 with significance level 0,006 it means significant social anxiety score before and after psychoeducation of social skill. Based on the results of the study concluded that psychoeducation of social skills effectively reduce social anxiety in deaf adolescentsKeywords : social skill, social anxiety, deaf adolescent

Abstract

The lowness of the total and full comprehension of meaning of life on the sufferer of the bipolar disorder is marked by feeling having no aim of life, feeling of meaningless, easy to get bored, full of desperation, lack of interest and initiative, lack of passion of work, being not care, decreasing responsibility, questioning his/her existence in this world. The aims of this research are to find out the description of the lowness of the total and full comprehension of meaning of life on the sufferer of the bipolar disorder and to apply the supportive therapy through guidance technique to raise the total and full comprehension of meaning of life on the sufferer of the bipolar disorder. The research methods that are used in this research are single case design and A-B-A design. The author uses observation, interview, and psychology tests such as WBIS, Graphic, SSCT and the intervention of supportive therapy through guidance technique. The result of intervention shows that there is a change on the subject of the research like being able to own the more meaningful life, caring more, having more responsibility, realizing her existence in this world, easy to be happy, and full of hope. Moreover, the result of the analysis of development of the intervention is supported by the result of the scale of pre-test which shows the high category and after the post-test is conducted, the result shows the middle category. The prognosis on the subject is positive in which she succeeds to improve her total and full comprehension of meaning of life.  Keywords: supportive, therapy guidance technique, bipolar disorder

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find differences of job satisfaction on employees in terms of internal locus of control and external locus of control. This study was performed on 60 employees at BPR Kembang Parama Magelang. The author uses the comparative method of two samples. In addition, the author uses t test as a method of data analysis. The measurement of job satisfaction uses nine aspects, named pay, promotion, supervisor, additional allowance, achievement, procedure and operating procedure, collegeus, job description, and communication. While the measurement of locus of control use three aspects, named internality, powerful others, and chance. This study states that there are not differences in job satisfaction on employees who have an orientation at internal locus of control with employees who have an orientation at external locus of control with a significance value of = 0,739 so that the hypothesis in this study is rejected. Keywords : Job Satisfaction, Locus of Control, Employees

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the workload and needs of employees as a basis for the company to run an efficiency program. Based on management's assessment at the beginning of PT. ABC stated that in East Java Bali Nusra (EJBN) total of employees is very high, but the opinion of the head of the region is not true. This study is an applied research specifically evaluation research. The research subjects were taken by cluster sampling technique. The research location is PT. ABC especially the EJBN region with a total of 23 employees, headquartered in Surabaya. From the research, it is known several things, namely the procedures for preparing / reviewing job descriptions, workloads and employee needs for each position. Some functions underload work, such as Marketing Coordinator, Courier, Customer Relation Officer (security), Health Service Admin. Some are in the normal criteria, including the functions of Marketing, Support / admin marketing, Engineer marketing, Finance & Treasury Support, computer support spesialist, General Affair Coordinators, Drivers, Operational Coordinators, Customer Relation Officers (Bali, NTT, NTB, KAI, Janitor, etc.). The function that is in the overload criteria is in the Head of EJBN position, Treasury, Controllers, and Chief Financial Coordinator, Personal Recruiter, and Customer Relations Officer who handles Customer Service in one company. Based on these data, the researcher designed the intervention, namely making job design by means of job enrichment, job enlargement, and rotation. Key Words : job design, job description, workload

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of Employee Engagement at PT PJB in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia so that the information in this study can be used by the Directors and Management to develop a work culture that can encourage employee productivity. This research used non-experimental quantitative / EPF methods. The subjects of this study were employees of PT PJB who were permanent employees, not in work assignments, and had worked at PT PJB for at least 1 year. There are 10 Engagement indicators measured in the study , Cultural Reputation (RB), Career Management (MKa), Performance Management (Mki), Award Recognition (R), Work Environment (LK), Compensation Benefit (KB), Leadership (K), Team Cooperation (KT), Employee Development (PK), and Work Value (NK). The scale used is Likert scale using two scales, namely the Satisfaction Scale and the Urgency Scale where the sum of the distribution of satisfaction scales and urgencies will be defined as the engagement index. The results of frequency distribution showed satisfaction and Engagament presentation indices in PT PJB at 77.2% and 82.5%. This shows that employees at PT PJB already feel satisfied and interested in the organization where the factors that are considered to be the greatest percentage in encouraging satisfaction and engagement are factors of team collaboration. Based on multiple regression test, shows ttest > t table and p < 0,05 which means model and variables are valid. From the Regression model IKK = 74,690 + 0,011 RB + 0,060 MKa – 0,023 MKi + 0,013 RP + 0,001 LK - 0,013 KB + 0,0001 KP + 0,046 KT - 0,007 PK + 0,011 NK, can be concluded that every 1% increase in satisfaction on the Career Management indicator will increase engagement level by 0.06% and every 1% increase in satisfaction on the Team Cooperation indicator will increase the engagement rate by 0.046%.Keywords : Engagement, Employee Engagement
