Abstract

Lifestyle or unhealthy lifestyles lead to unhealthy body conditions. This disturbs everyday human life. Unhealthy body conditions cause various diseases, one of which is cardiovascular disease that attacks the heart organ. Coronary heart disease is a disease that attacks the coronary arteries, where the coronary arteries are narrowed due to an imbalance of oxygen and nutrients produced with the needs of the heart. This can have an unhealthy impact on the heart and can cause death. Yoga practice can be used as an effort to reduce coronary heart disease because yoga practice helps balance the oxygen demand and oxygen supply produced by the body, so that the imbalance can be overcome and the heart becomes healthier. The percentage of narrowing of the arteries will decrease as a result of chest pain or angina pectoris will not be felt and coronary heart disease can be overcome.

Abstract

Yoga is the reunification of all thoughts, intellect, feelings, emotions, instincts, and other traits. Āsana is steady, calm and comfortable posture. The yoga āsana movements contained in it are quite beneficial for the body and mind. The inspiration from the yoga āsana movement is also inseparable from the forms of living beings and nature. Every object in the universe and organic object forms has its own amazing structure. Thus, through an aesthetic approach, it is known the value of beauty, various forms, and the influence of internalization and modification of natural movements and living beings in āsana yoga. Maintaining the body to keep it clean, healthy and strong is a daily duty and responsibility. Solar yoga is a yoga attitude as a way to increase spiritual awareness and enlightenment by respecting and worshiping the sun. Pasraman Seruling Dewata is one of the non-formal institutions to study Hinduism in relation to the existence of Balinese cultural traditions. Many classical Yoga teachings are taught there, the Watukaru tradition of solar yoga is one of them. The solar yoga movement has benefits and meaning as well as ecological aesthetic value. Based on this, it is necessary to know the form of the Watukaru tradition solar yoga, the internalization of ecological aesthetics in the Watukaru tradition solar yoga and the implications of the Watukaru tradition of solar yoga for students at Pasraman Seruling Dewata, Pakraman Bantas Village, East Selemadeg District, Tabanan Regency.

Abstract

Hindus have a noble purpose in life namely moksartham jagadhita ya ca iti dharma or attain jagadhita (physical well-being) and moksa (inner peace). This goal can be achieved by a variety of paths known as catur marga or catur yoga. Catur marga or catur yoga is a method or way that can be done to get closer between humans and God. The catur yoga marga are bhakti yoga, karma yoga, jnana yoga, and raja yoga. Each individual can take the path that he wants to pursue to reach God. This path is carried out with a sincere heart and in accordance with the conditions of each Hindu. Through this yoga path, Hindus can actualize their lives in accordance with their respective obligations. Self-control through mind control as a whole through the practice of meditation can be a medium in achieving this life goal. Control of the senses and the human mind is key in managing the mental and spiritual health of mankind. In yoga this self-control is very important and important to apply, so it is obligatory to do meditation in this life as a way to achieve spiritual health that is directly related to physical health. A healthy mind will mean creating a healthy body.

Abstract

Transcendental communication means communication between humans and their God and entering into the field of religion, participants in transcendental communication are humans with their Lord. But the discussion is little in the discipline of communication, even though this is more important than other forms of communication, especially in people who believe in the existence of God. This transcendental communication in Hinduism can be seen in a yoga activity. Yoga is an activity that aims to get closer to God. Yoga is done by uniting the mind, body, and soul with the aim of uniting oneself with God itself can be a unique study in transcendental communication. This article aims to discuss why yoga can be said to be a process of transcendental communication and the process of transcendental communication that occurs in yoga. This article uses the theory of symbolic interactionism as a scalpel in studying both problem statements. As for the results of the discussion of this article that by realizing the meaning of awareness of the meaning and motives of individuals, yoga practitioners carry out a discipline of awareness about cognitive focus and calm to minimize mental imbalances so that ultimately able to create an individual transformation and communication of mental transfiguration between individuals with God that is in the individual itself. The process of transcendental communication takes place in yoga activities because a yogi is aware of the existence of God and with the aim to get closer and unite his mind, body and soul with God himself.

Abstract

Family problems become very crucial at this time due to the absence of family planning. Various reactions are shown by parents when the child is experiencing an illness. Not a few maidset parents who think that when a child is sick must be immediately taken to the doctor to get treatment and treatment through drugs. The disease diagnosis system accompanied by traditional treatments in Bali is known as Usada. One of them is usada rare papyrus is a papyrus that discusses the symptoms of disease in children and how to treat it in children. Lontar usada rare text describes the symptoms of illness experienced by a child, including upas disease, tiwang disease, sebaha disease, spells, scales, and other groups of diseases. Recognizing and understanding the symptoms of the disease based on the Usada Rare Lontar provides an early understanding of the symptoms of the disease in children through traditional Balinese diagnosis in a papyrus record.

Abstract

Complex problems in people's lives in the global era often cause psychological pressure which subsequently causes various disturbances in the system of human body which eventually lead to various illness. In order to return to their health level, people are in their quest for diverse alternative health medications which have minimal side effects, one of which is back to nature by consuming traditional medicine. Traditional medicine has been familiar with the life of the Indonesian people, including the Balinese in particular. In Bali, there is a traditional health system which still exists in the community known as Usadha. In Usadha, there are various types of treatment, one of which is often used by the Balinese, namely medicinal herbs or the Balinese people often call it loloh. The Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 61 of 2016 concerning Empirical Traditional Health Services and the existence of the Governor of Bali Regulation No. 55 of 2019 concerning Balinese Traditional Health Services have caused loloh to revive. Loloh is now not only consumed by the local people, but has also been consumed by foreign tourists who visit Bali. One of the prima donna is loloh don cemcem which is sourced from kecemcem leaves (Spondias pinnata (Lf) Kurz). The process of making loloh don cemcem follows the traditional serving pattern with the intention that by consuming it, people will get various benefits, especially in the aspect of physical health.

Abstract

Hinduism has many teachings related to ethics, morals and health, one of which is the teachings of Hatha yoga. In this case the Hatha Yoga training is considered very important in efforts to improve ethics, morals and public health, especially for lecturers and staff at Ngurah Rai University, Denpasar. This research is in the form of a qualitative design. Data were collected using observation techniques, interview techniques and literature techniques. After the data is collected, the data are analyzed by descriptive qualitative and interpretative descriptive methods. Based on this analysis, conclusions are obtained as a result of the study, as follows: (1) The process of implementing the Hatha Yoga training consists of opening greetings and joint prayers, pranayama exercises, motion warm-ups, Surya Namaskara motion exercises, loose asanas exercises, Savasana, Meditation and Hasya Yoga (Closing). (2) The benefits of Hatha Yoga training are to improve physical, mental and spiritual health

Abstract

This research examines the application of yoga asanas in a new level of life (new normal) during the Covid-19 virus pandemic. The discourse about the Covid-19 outbreak directs humans to be able to live healthy lives. Health is an important benchmark in the transition period to keep the body healthy during activities. Within this framework, this study uses a qualitative descriptive research method that is described using a socio-religious approach. Due to the phenomenon that occurs in society, activities that are rarely outside the home make a healthy lifestyle so important. A healthy lifestyle by applying the practice of yoga asanas during work from home is a choice for some people to make rhythm adjustments in activities in a productive way and balanced with nutritious food and drinks. Yoga asanas in physical distancing situations certainly have many benefits to support body health. Not only as a lifestyle or a healthy lifestyle, but yoga asanas has now become the most important part of implementing the natural health of the human body to increase immunity, maintain body stability, increase concentration, control thoughts, prevent depression, and even reduce stress management in the current new normal.

Abstract

Every month women aged 12-49 years who are not pregnant and have not yet menopause will experience menstruation. Menstruation is the process of expulsion of blood from the uterus accompanied by uterine lining on women which occurs periodically. During menstruation, many women, especially teenage girls, experience problems with discomfort or pain in the abdomen. Menstrual pain which commonly called dysmenorrhea is a medical condition that occurs during menstruation that can interfere with activities ranging from pain in the abdomen and waist area. There are several ways to relieve dysmenorrhea symptoms, ranging from pharmacological therapy to non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological methods that are often used is yoga. The movements in yoga can strengthen the body and improve blood circulation. During menstruation, mainly the pelvic organs, the perineal and pelvic muscles become healthier and get adequate oxygen intake, so that the vascularity to the reproductive organs becomes optimal. The implementation of yoga, accompanied by trained instructors, is able to provide proper and safe yoga movements to help overcome dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Being born as a human is a virtue in Hinduism, because among all living things only humans are gifted with the ability to think and distinguish good and bad deeds, and can help themselves from repeated births and deaths towards the ultimate goal of Hinduism. itself namely "Moksartham Jagadhita ya ca iti dharma". Because the primacy of birth as a human being, of course this opportunity must be very grateful and utilized as well as possible. One way that humans can do as a form of gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa for birth as a human being is to maintain the healthy body. With a healthy and well-maintained body, surely a person will be able to work at maximum capacity Eating is not an activity to put food into the mouth carelessly and not measured. Eating in question is how a person is able to maintain the intake of food that enters his body properly and correctly so that what is eaten can function optimally for the health of the body. Judging from the science of nutrition, of course this will be associated with intake of carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, fats and others that enter the body. But when viewed from the teachings of Hinduism, regulating food patterns and intake of food that enters the body is also contained in Hindu religious literature, one of which is contained in the Bhagavad-gītā scriptures. And after further study, it can also be understood that what is eaten will ultimately affect one's mindset and character. By using descriptive methods, this paper will examine good food for body health (sattvika food) and its effect on someone's character.
