Abstract

Map is simply an illustration of an area in which the information given is displayed in symbols. Map is presented to provide information regarding location barriers, infrastructure, and land use. The existence of basic sector mapping in Ngawi District is expected to become a basis in development plant in the district. The present study was conducted using the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift Share. The data were of Gross Domestic Regional Product Ngawi Regency from 2015-2019, which was obtained from Central Breau of Statistic. The data mapping was analyzed through ArcGis software. The findings demonstrate that the basic sectors in Ngawi District consist of the farming sector, communication and transportation sectors, along with services sectors.

Abstract

The successful regional economic development can be measured from the level of economic growth through PDRB indicators. The attainment is done through the determination and development of the leading sector that can influence the rate of labor absorption onward. The purpose of this study to analyze the leading sectors of Tulungagung Regency and their roles in labor absorption. The successful regional economic development can be measured from the system of leading sector towards the absorption of labor and has to decreased of unemployment rate. The researcher made use of descriptive analysis through a mathematical approach, using combined LQ-DLQ analysis, shift-share, Klassen typology, and overlay analysis. The findings demonstrate that the communication and transportation sectors were Tulungagung Regency’s leading sectors 2014-2018, and economic structural change happened. The economy that depended on secondary and tertiary sectors illustrate that Tulungagung Regency did not rely on the exploitation of natural resources. On the other hand, the role of the leading sector on labor absorption is inelastic and has not to decreased unemployment.

Abstract

Consumption is an activity to buy and use goods and services to meet the needs of an individual. The consumption of each individual varies greatly. This is what is called consumption behavior. The diversity of consumption behavior causes more and more business actors to fulfill their needs, causing business competition. This makes business people have to rack their brains so that they are not less competitive with other business people. Marketing by utilizing digital technology and social media is one way. Through Instagram social media, marketing is carried out by users themselves who have a large number of followers (celebgrams). Marketing carried out by this program is in the form of endorsements. This research will discuss the effect of celebram endorsement on the consumption behavior of students majoring in economics, State University of Surabaya. The result of this research is that the endorsement by celebrams has a significant effect on the food product consumption behavior of students majoring in economics at the State University of Surabaya by 28.3%.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic, which has lasted for approximately nine months in Indonesia, is considered to have an impact on the prices of agricultural products, especially horticultural products and livestock products. The Indonesian Political Economy Association (AEPI), assessed that the two products were the most disturbed, especially in relation to the absorption of their production during the pandemic. One type of horticultural product that has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is onion. This study aims to analyze the economic welfare of traditional onion farmers in Sukomoro during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interview techniques. Based on the research results, the conclusion that can be drawn is that the level of welfare of onion farmers in Sukomoro Village during the Covid-19 pandemic was also affected. According to the results of research in the field before the Covid-19 pandemic, the informants' family income level can be said to be sufficient, they can buy food, clothing and also make a house for their family. All of their children can also go to school from the income from onion farming. Although there was a reduction in income due to reduced sales and rotting onion stocks. However, in general, his welfare condition is still good. This can be seen from the conditions of residence, education, and the ability to provide for family members.

Abstract

Economic growth is essentially defined as an indicator for measuring the development of the economy from one period to the next. Economic growth is also interpreted as material for assessing the success of economic development that has been achieved and is useful as a basis for planning and implementing government policies to determine the direction of development in the future. The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the effects of the Regional Original Income (PAD) and General Allocation Funds (DAU) on economic growth in the province of East Java in the period 2014-2018. This study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate-General for Fiscal Balance (DJPK), East Java Province. The analysis technique used in this study is a panel data regression analysis using the Fixed Effect model by performing classical assumption tests and hypotheses tests. The results of the analysis of this study show that (1) Regional Own Income has a positive effect on Economic Growth (2) General Allocation Funds have a positive effect on Economic Growth (3) Regional Original Income and General Allocation Funds together or at the same time have a significant impact on Growth Economy in East Java Regions and Cities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of spending on social assistance,education and unemployment on poverty in East Java in 2018.This study uses crosssectionaldata analysis techniques of 38 districts/towns obtained from the Central Bureauof Statistics and then processed with multiple linear regression. The results of the studyshow that partially spending on social assistance had a significant positive effect onpoverty in East Java province in 2018, education had a significant negative impact onpoverty in East Java in 2018, and the unemployment rate did not significantly affectpoverty in East Java in 2018. Meanwhile, spending on social aid and educationsimultaneously affected poverty in East Java province in 2018. Keywords: education, poverty, sosial insurrence, unemployment

Abstract

GDP per capita is an indicator to measure the level of welfare in a country. GDP per capita can also be interpreted as the value of goods and services associated with each citizen. Remittances and FDI are the largest foreign funds going into developing countries. In addition, government spending is a fiscal policy in the form of government intervention to address the declining economy. The purpose of this study was to look at the influence of remittances, FDI, and government spending on Indonesia's GDP per capita by using time series data from 1985-2019. OLS (Ordinary Least Square) is an analysis method used in this study. The research results showed that remittances, government spending, and FDI have a positive influence on Indonesia's GDP per capita. Remittances can increase foreign exchange reserves, increase consumption and investment, government management can open jobs and improve the quality of human resources, and FDI can increase the combined supply of financial capital, technology transfer research & development capabilities, marketing methods and management, so that it has a positive effect on Indonesia's GDPper capita.

Abstract

This research was conducted to discuss the impact that occurred due to the termination ofemployment (PHK) by companies due to the COVID-19 pandemi on jobseekers, especiallyfresh graduates at the Department of Economics, Universitas Negeri Surabaya.. TheCOVID-19 pandemi has had a significant impact on several aspects such as economic andemployment aspects, with the layoff policy in this pandemi era, as well as the unstable stateof the economy, causing unemployment to increase. The method used in this research isdescriptive qualitative method with a phenomological approach. The results of the studyare based on the results of interviews that have been conducted with the informants andare also compared with previous theories and studies. Freshgraduate majoring inEconomics, State Universitas Negeri Surabaya as a jobseeker felt the impact of thecompany's policy of layoffs during the COVID-19 pandemi. Hard skills and soft skills arethe main foundation for competing in the world of work and the creation of superior humanresources in the midst of today's global changes. Abstract

This research was conducted in order to find out the consumption choices of surabaya people affected by the covid-19 pandemic in determining the most priority needs and what factors influence consumption choices in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. Technical data collection from this study is by disseminating questionnaires to respondents, while the data analysis technique of this study uses descriptive analysis to process quantitative data. In conclusion, researchers draw the conclusion that the pandemic has a big impact on the economy of the people of Surabaya, especially related to the decrease in income, purchases in large quantities and scaling priorities in times of crisis, while the needs that become a priority is the Internet, Fresh food, medicines, hygienic personal needs & hygiene products, as well as communication needs, as for the main factors of consideration of the People of Surabaya is environmental factors namely the pandemic crisis covid-19, affordable prices, economic conditions of the community, easy distribution, quality products / services.

Abstract

This research goals to look at and break down the impact of GDP, populace, and the lowest pay permitted by law on joblessness in East Java Province in 2015/2019. The technique utilized is quantitative strategy with an exoplanatory approach. The kind of information utilized in this investigation is board information sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java Province. The aftereffects of this examination demonstrated that GDP has a critical negative relationship to the variable joblessness in East Java. While the populace and the lowest pay permitted by law have no huge impact on the joblessness variable in East Java. This is shown from the likelihood estimation of the two factors higher than the genuine level (α = 5%).
