Abstract

Abstract Literate class design is a literate class environment that is arranged in such a way that it is rich in linguistic media. Children with special needs require special handling by maximizing a literate classroom design. Language is very closely related to literacy because the components in language contained in literacy include reading, writing, listening, and telling stories. Literacy skills in children need to be supported and facilitated by schools. A literate classroom environment is one of the efforts that teachers can make for the achievement of children's language development. The Literate Class Design that has been implemented has had a positive impact on teachers, students, and parents. teaching learning p[rocess which at first arbitrarily now has now carried out learning with full attention and communication with students is more effective and efficient. The previously unorganized classroom arrangement has now attracted more attention and made it easier to control the activities of students and teachers. The occurrence of repetition of learning that is not realized by students without any orders from the teacher every day, just by looking around the class which is deliberately designed with a literate class. Parents are motivated and enthusiastic and fully support participating in designing literacy classes for the progress of their children's learning at school. The aim is to improve the vocabulary comprehension skills of third grade SDLB students through literacy classes at SLBN 1 Mataram. The method used is observation, test, and documentation. The results obtained are that children are accustomed to observing the classroom environment, improving the ability of mentally retarded children to understand vocabularies, getting to know the wider environment, and also increasing students ability to explore their knowledge Keywords: Literate Class Design, Vocabulary Comprehension, Children with Special Needs

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was aimed to determine: 1) the representation of the numeracy skills of the first grade deaf students, 2) the use of Manjamu media in numeracy skills especially in counting skill of the deaf students at SLB Negeri 1 Mataram in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research was conducted from August to September 2019. The research was conducted within 2 cycles and was implemented to 5 students as the object. Each cycle consists of some stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used was observation which was conducted by teacher and observer, while the data analysis was carried out descriptively with percentage techniques. The success rate of students' initial numeracy skills was classified in the categories of capable and independent, able with little guidance, quite capable with little guidance and less able with full guidance. The author collected the data on simple arithmetic skills on the aspect of operating fingers in summation and subtraction of 1-10, learning scores of numeracy skills by using research instruments. The learning scores used in this research was taken from odd semester data for the 2019/2020 academic year in the form of initial numeracy test results to map students' initial abilities. The results of this research indicate that the use of Manjamu as the Media was proven to be able to improve the initial numeracy skills of the first-grade deaf students at SLB Negeri 1 Mataram. This was proved after the pre-action obtained an increase in score of the first cycle with an average value of 63. Meanwhile, Cycle II showed an increase with an average value of 77.2. In Conclusion: Manjamu Media bridges the thinking ability of the deaf children in learning the concept of counting according to the Basic Competencies of 2013 Curriculum, by using interesting and easy-to-use learning media will make the deaf children easier in learning the initial counting skills, especially in solving the summation and subtraction arithmetic operations.

Abstract

Abstract Increasing awareness to care about the influence of drug trafficking in the special needs school environment needs special attention. Through activities that are preventive in nature in the form of the” sadar bernyali” based on “gosok” action program., which aims as an effort to prevent an recognize the dangers of drugs and to build courage of all school members to take the initiative in cting, behaving and saying “no” to drugs. This will become a culture in the daily lives of students both at school, at home and in the community. We observed students’ activities of the self- awareness program through “gogok” action. One of the easiest “gosok” actions for students to carry out and to remind them of the dangers of drugs is by shouting anti-drugs. The result of “ sadar bernyali” bsed on “gosok” action program that have been carried out at SLBN 1 Mataram currently show that: students with special needs are able to recognize and understand the dangers of drugs, they brave to refuse and say “no” firmly when offered cigarettes, and are able to take the initiative to reprimand someone who was smoking in the school environment. This “sadar bernyali” that has been running must continue to be carried out repeatedly and continuously so that it becomes a culture in everyday life so that children were accustomed to trying to prevent drug trafficking against themselves both at school and at home. Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are influenced by the lack of student readiness in receiving lessons and the application of scientific models or methods in learning has not varied, so that the activity in receiving learning is still lacking. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV A students in science subjects at SDN 2 North Kelayu through the application of a problem-based learning model with a scientific approach and to find out whether there are differences in science learning outcomes between before and after the application of a problem-based learning model with a scientific approach. This study involved 25 students of class IV A as subjects with the help of a teacher and colleagues as observers. The research steps were carried out in two. The cycle under study has the following stages: planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation and reflection. The data collection techniques used observation methods for student activity data and teacher activities, as well as evaluation tests for student learning outcomes data. Based on the research, it was found that the students' classical mastery increased from 64% in the first cycle to 92% in the second cycle. Thus this classroom action research is declared complete because all predetermined success indicators have been achieved, namely student learning outcomes are said to increase if 80% of students get a score of 70. The increase in the average value of each cycle can be said to be significant, because the value of t count in the cycle I, which is 5.068, is greater than t table, which is 2,0105, the value of t arithmetic in cycle II is also greater than t table (7.276> 2.0105) with a significant level of 5%. So it can be said that there are significant differences before and after the application of the problem-based learning model with a scientific approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the visual media-assisted brainstorming method on the speaking skills of fourth graders at SDN 8 Praya in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is an experimental study with a Quasi Experimental Design type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study amounted to 46 students. The data collection technique used is saturated sampling with a sample of 46 students. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, test results of students' speaking skills and teacher teaching observation sheets. The data obtained were tested using the t-test (t-polled variance). Based on the post-test results, it was obtained that the average value of students' speaking skills in the experimental class was 77.10 while in the control class was 74.77. The results of hypothesis testing obtained results of 0.0233 and 2.0186 at a significance level of 5%, so that it can be seen that tcount ttable. In accordance with the test criteria, it shows that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is no significant effect in the application of the visual media-assisted brainstorming method on the speaking skills of fourth graders at SDN 8 Praya in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of observations at PAUD Tanwirul Qulub Mataram, related to the introduction of children's letters such as not yet recognizing letters and often confused about the letter b with letter d, letter p with letter q, and letter a with letter e. To overcome this, a fun learning media is needed so that the child's letter recognition develops optimally. The purpose of this study was to find out how to apply playing activities using the right word cards and pictures to introduce letters to group B children at PAUD Tanwirul Qulub Mataram. This type of research uses three stages of development. The subjects of the study were kindergarten children in group B2 aged 5-6 years, totaling 15 people. Data collection techniques using observation methods and data analysis using qualitative descriptive techniques. The steps in playing word and picture cards are: (a) introducing word and picture card games, (b) telling children how or steps in playing word and picture cards by practicing directly, (c) observing children's development during the game. , and (d) conduct discussions and evaluations. The results showed that the average results of student observations in learning to recognize children's letters using word cards and pictures increased from development I, which was 55.50%, development II, 68.60%, and the average percentage in development III was 84, 93% with an increase of 13.10% indicates an increase that occurs in development I to development II and 16.33% indicates an increase from development II to development III. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that using word cards and pictures can introduce letters to kindergarten group B2 children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Tanwirul Qulub Mataram.
