Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the role of parents on the reading ability of elementary school students. This type of research is a case study, namely on two parents who have elementary school age children who do not yet have the ability to read well. This research was conducted in Koto Tuo Hamlet, RT 002 RW 002, Pulau Komang Sentajo Village, Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The data collection techniques in this study were by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques that researchers use are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the role of parents on the reading ability in Pulau Komang Sentajo Elementary School students was good and some were still not. Of the two parents, there is one parent who has carried out his role well, and one parent who is still not good at carrying out his role. This can be seen from the research indicators, namely parents as educators, parents as teachers, parents as motivators, parents as facilitators, parents as supporters, and parents as models for children's reading skills. Abstract

This research is an experimental research with a Quasi Experimental Design research type. This type of experiment was carried out in two classes using a comparison class. The experimental design used in this study was a pretest posttest control group design with the aim of knowing the effect of the Cooperative Script learning model on nharing reading skills in third grade students of SDN 001 Pasar Baru Pangean. The number of students was 24 students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. In this study, the technique of collecting data using a reading test on the Effect of Animals on Human Life, there are four aspects used in this study, namely fluency, accuracy, intonation, and punctuation. Based on the results of the study, the average score (mean) showed that the results of the pretest in the experimental group of class III students at SDN 001 Pasar Baru Pangean were 69.16 and in the control group was 68.75 and the average posttest results in the experimental group of SDN students 001 Pasar Baru Pangean is 74.58 and the control group is 69.58. The reading skills in class III SDN 001 Pasar Baru Pangean affect the aloud reading skills of third grade students at SDN 001 Pasar Baru Pangean by using a cooperative script model.   Key words: cooperative script model, aloud reading skills

Abstract

The purpose this study was to describe how the implementation pf the deep school literacy movement at SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 school year. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with with a case study approach. The data sources in this study were obtained from observations of the implementation of the school literacy movement program, interviews with several informants, namely teachers, students, and librarians, as well as documentation. The results showed that the school literacy movement program at SDN 138 Pekanbaru was carried out in three stages, namely the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. At the habituation stage carried out are morning pick-up activities, literacy habituation activities every Wednesday, recitation activities in class and activities to sing obligatory/regional songs. At the development stage, what is done is to develop students' reading comprehension skills through readings that students do for 15 minutes and read them in their own language. The learning stage carried out is the use of enrichment books in lessons accompanied by student work. Furthermore, the supporting facilities at SD Negeri 138 Pekanbaru are quite complete to support the implementation of the school literacy movement program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Everyone Is Teacher Here method on speaking skills in the Indonesian language subject of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 03 Aur Tajungkang. In this study, the type of pre-experimental research design was used with the type of one group pretest and post-test . Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential statistical data analysis (t-test). Based on the results of the research pretest it is known that the average student is 69.03. After being given treatment by applying the Everyone Is Teacher Here method , the results of the research post-test experienced an increase with the average student being 89.68. Based on the results of the analysis using the t-test formula, t count is 6.188 and t table is 2.039 meaning t count > tT able , then H 0 is rejected and H a is accepted. It can be concluded that the Everyone Is Teacher Here method has an effect on speaking skills in the Indonesian language subject of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 03 Aur Tajungkang. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning media in the implementation of Civics learning, therefore the need for learning tools that support one of them is learning media. the media developed is interesting media, in accordance with the characteristics and needs of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the development and determine the feasibility of "Development of Learning Media for Snakes and Ladders Games in Primary Grade III Civics Subjects". The results of validation from experts state that the product "Development of Learning Media for Snakes and Ladders Games in Civics Subjects for Primary Grade III" is very feasible to use. The conclusion in this study based on the analysis of validators, teacher responses and student responses shows that the product "Development of Learning Media for Snakes and Ladders Games in Civics Subjects Elementary School Class III" developed by researchers is declared valid for use as a Civics learning media in Class III Elementary School.
