Abstract

This research aims to explore the rural teacher’s strategies to develop students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills based on the 2013 curriculum in the rural area of Indonesia. The participant of this research is one English teacher who teach in the Junior High School in Gaung district. By using qualitative approach, the researcher collect the data employs non-participant observation in the teaching and learning process, interviewed the English teacher, also documents by collecting the lesson plan made by one of the English teacher. The result of this research showed that the teacher develop the students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills by determining learning objectives with the eight characteristics of the lesson plan for 2013 curriculum, teach through questioning with LOTS questions, practice before assessment but it’s not effective, also provide assessment and feedback. The researcher also found that the teacher miss the step of review, refine and improve because she did not collect the students’ feedback. Based on the finding above, the researcher conclude that the teacher has been trying to do the steps to develop the students’ HOTS, but the development of HOTS in the rural area is not reach the expectation of the Higher Order Thinking based on 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the level of emotional intelligence of PSP Padang U-17 Football players in West Sumatra is not yet known. In sports, especially in football, someone who has intelligence alone is not enough, but must also be accompanied by emotional maturity. This study aims to describe, namely: The level of emotional intelligence of PSP Padang U-17 West Sumatra soccer players as seen from self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. This type of research is classified as descriptive research, with a population of all PSP Padang U-17 football players in West Sumatra with a total of 20 players. This study uses a total sampling technique with a sample of 20 players. While the data analysis using the percentage technique. The results of this study revealed that the emotional intelligence of PSP Padang U-17 West Sumetera soccer players seen from self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, which was at a percentage of 80% and was in very good criteria. Based on the results of the study, PSP Padang U-17 football players in West Sumatra already have very good emotions.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of agility training on soccer dribbling ability at SSB Koto Majidin, Kerinci Regency. This type of research is Experimental. The population in this study were Kotomajidin football players, Kerinci Regency, totaling 40 people. The sampling technique was purvosive sampling, as many as 25 people. The data obtained is by doing a dribbling ability test. Data were analyzed using T test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that tcount (9.174) > ttable (1.711). This means that the research hypothesis can be accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that agility training has a significant effect on dribbling ability. The increase in the dribbling ability of the SSB Kotomajidin ball in Kerinci Regency is 1.39 seconds, from an average score of 5.92 seconds in the pre test to 4.6 seconds in the post test.

Abstract

Dalam organisasi visi atau tujuan adalah menjadi suatu hal yang pokok yang menjadikan sebuah organisasi memiliki sebuah misi atau rencana-rencana yg matang untuk mencapai suatu tujuan atau target tersebut. Bukan suatu hal yang mudah untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut tanpa adanya perencanaan yang melibatkan semua anggota organisasi untuk saling bekerjasama. Dimulai dengan menentukan tujuan dan kepentingan, pemilihan seorang pemimpin yang bijaksana untuk mengelola organisasi tersebut, pengelolaan menejemen yang terarah dan evaluasi dari kesalahan atau keberhasilan organisasi. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pentingnya rencana strategis dalam organisasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif (library research). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa untuk menjalankan organisasi yang baik sangat dibutuhkan seorang pengelola yang memiliki skill, pengalaman, kompetitif dan reabilitas sehingga mampu mengarahkan organisasi untuk melangkah sesuai dengan menejemen yang telah tersusun. Setelah mumpunyai pemimpin dan pengelola yang baik, yang perlu dipahami, yaitu bagaimana sebuah organisasi mampu berjalan bersama, dalam artian semua anggota dan pemimpin organisasi memiliki jiwa kebersamaan, apresiasi, semangat, loyalitas dan kontribusi sehingga terciptannya suasana kerja yang baik, maka itu menjadi suatu hal yang penting demi tercapainya tujuan organisasi tersebut, diperlukan adanya rencana strategis yang termenejeman dengan matang. Mengingat betapa pentingnya rencana strategis, seharusnya setiap organisasi wajib memilikinya agar tercapainya tujuan atau terget organisasi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the potential development of religious tourism at the tomb of Sheikh Abdurrahman Siddiq in Teluk Dalam Village, Kuala Indragiri District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, including the process of forming tourism objects, developing tourism objects, and the impact of their development. This research is a qualitative type with a case study strategy. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the data by triangulation of data sources and data collection techniques. Analysis of the data using interactive techniques. This study shows that the formation of this tourist attraction stems from the collapse of the Indragiri kingdom. Sheikh Abdurrahman Siddiq, a Mufhti of the Indragiri Kingdom, built a mosque as a means of spreading Islam in the Hidayat area. After he died, he was buried in Teluk Dalam village in the courtyard of the mosque that was built. The tomb is sacred by the community and used as a religious tourism object. Many people visit for pilgrimage. For this reason, development is carried out, including the addition of tourist objects such as the Sheikh Abdurrahman Siddiq Museum and the Mosque to make it more comfortable. In addition, the addition of basic facilities in the form of an entrance gate and a roof to protect the tomb. Complementary facilities are in the form of pilgrim rules and mosques. Supporting facilities include parking lots, canteens, and clothing stores. However, there are several facilities that have not been developed optimally, namely repairing basic facilities in the form of repairing entrances to tombs and mosques. Improvement of complementary facilities in the form of ablution places and toilets. The development of tourist information includes introducing tourism objects to outsiders and to increase tourist visits. This can be done by using brochures, accessing google internet services. This development has a positive impact on the local economy. It can be seen from the growth of various business fields, such as clothing stores, food stalls, street vendors, and entertainment.
