Abstract

Improving team coordination for optimal performance is one of the main challenges that organizations encounter when scaling their Agile practices. Therefore, numerous companies encounter difficulties in achieving their desired performance due to this challenge. This study aims to address the challenge by proposing a new project management method design for a Software as a Service (SaaS) company in Indonesia with ineffective project management, using a scaled Agile approach. This paper contributes to providing insight into the implementation of scaled Agile method design in an organization. The research follows qualitative methods based on the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology and the eight domains of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), comprising six phases and two iterations. The first iteration involves projecting the current state of the company's activities and resulting in a proposal for a new project management method. The second iteration involves developing and evaluating the proposed method against the PMBOK standard. According to the findings, there are two domains that align with PMBOK and project management in the firm, namely the Stakeholder and Cycle Performance Domains. Team Performance, Development Approach, and Life Planning Performance Domain, Project Work Performance Domain, Delivery Performance Domain, Measurement Performance Domain, and Uncertainty Performance Domain are the other domains that do not suit the standard. Adequate efficient training for team performance, fostering collaboration among team members building corporate culture, and aligning company business processes with Agile methods are essential to overcome some inconsistent results.

Abstract

The development of the higher education sector and the large number of unemployment rates in Indonesia require that students and alumni of each institution have the expertise they have mastered with UI (User Interface) / UX (User Experience) technology-based design and implementation that will always make everything effective and efficient. on products or applications that have become a trend to be carried out at this time. Simply put, the UI/UX discipline has the goal of building something that makes a system more user friendly so it can function properly which makes a product more valuable. With so many students and alumni from several agencies, namely in the field of information technology education, this provides a great opportunity to be more able to innovate with various new technologies such as mobile-based learning applications and online courses. This research aims to focus on the discipline of user ergonomics, namely how the behavior and habits of users such as the pattern of the user's fingers when using the application and provide attractive visual colors, the location of buttons that are easy to reach, typefaces that are easy to read and easy to understand. as well as providing convenience for users of these applications, so as to see and assess the design and implementation of UI/UX applications for online programming courses, so that designs can be evaluated and can strengthen opportunities to implement better applications for users, especially students and alumni of higher education institutions in the field information Technology. The method to be used is UCD (User Centered Design) which consists of 4 stages, namely, Specify Understand Context of Use, Specify User Requirements, Design Solutions, and Evaluate Against Requirements and the method for implementing applications uses the waterfall model. The results of this study show how the design and implementation of a mobile-based online programming course application is named "Alumni" according to user needs

Abstract

Lecturers are professional teaching staff who provide all their knowledge and loyalty through teaching students, research and community service. To increase the performance and loyalty of lecturers to tertiary institutions, this is done by giving rewards to the best lecturers. In making the decision to give rewards to lecturers, there are several steps and criteria that must be met, because the large number of lecturers and criteria causes the assessment team to experience difficulties in processing the criteria data and lecturer data who are entitled to the reward, so a method is needed that is implemented into a computerized system that will facilitate the work of the assessment team in data processing and the resulting data to be accurate and reliable. The data applied in this research is data from permanent university lecturers and the conditions set by the university. The purpose of this research is to maximize the performance of the assessment team in processing criteria data and university permanent lecturers to get the best lecturers who are entitled to receive rewards using the TOPSIS method. The decision in determining the alternative to giving rewards to the best lecturers, by selecting 3 lecturers as recipients of the best lecturer rewards as an alternative is the result of this study. From these results, there are influential criteria, namely Research, Teaching, and Attendance.

Abstract

This research focuses on the Kawn Subscriptions Manager app, which was developed to help Food and Beverage (F&B) businesses manage customer subscriptions. Currently, the Kawn Subscriptions Manager application does not have a standardized test suite that has been validated. Therefore, in this research, Model-Based Testing (MBT) is applied in testing the Kawn Subscriptions Manager application as a testing method to produce a specific and technical test suite. MBT is a testing method based on the behavioral model of the system being tested. Then, to measure the adequacy of test cases generated by MBT, mutation testing is used. The model is created using the GraphWalker tool and testing is done automatically using Selenium and testNG in the Eclipse IDE text editor. From the results of the study, it is known that MBT testing generates test cases from the behavior model of the function being tested. Testing with MBT shows that no failures were found in the tested functions. Then the average mutation score is 72.18% which indicates that the test cases generated by MBT are adequate or in the medium category. However, it is important to note that while MBT was successful in generating test cases that examined the application's behavior, it was found that the method was unable to detect failures caused by mutants that did not significantly affect the application's behavior. This finding suggests that while MBT can be an effective tool for testing key functions, additional methods are needed to identify failures that may result from minor or insignificant changes to the application code.

Abstract

One of a company's most important assets is its customers. Companies use various methods to retain customers by implementing various strategies, such as PT Bintang Multi Sarana which uses various methods to establish good relationships with customers, such as holding promos and discounts. Companies offer promotional items or discounts by contacting customers by telephone one by one or offering them directly when the customer has finished purchasing the previous item. Offering discounts and promos to all customers is less efficient because it costs a lot of operational costs and time. Therefore, customers at PT Bintang Multi Sarana need to be grouped first to make it easier for the company to determine appropriate services. Apart from that, sales transaction data at PT Bintang Multi Sarana is only processed into monthly reports. In fact, if processed properly, sales transaction data can be used to help determine strategies for retaining customers. The aim of this research is to segment customers to determine customer characteristics. One solution to this problem is to process sales transaction data by utilizing the role of data mining with clustering techniques using the k-means algorithm. The k-means algorithm is a distance-based algorithm that divides data into separate clusters. Based on calculations using k-means, customers are clustered into 3 groups, namely cluster 1 with 742 customers, cluster 2 with 795 customers and cluster 3 with 223 customers. From the results of the customer segmentation analysis, the results show that cluster 1 is a silver segment customer, cluster 2 is a gold segment customer, and cluster 3 is a platinum segment customer. The marketing strategy for the silver segment is by providing price discounts, promotions and advertising on social media, for the gold segment services are provided in the form of reward points or special discounts, while for the platinum segment, this is the provision of attractive prizes or exclusive access to certain products.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an recitation learning activities at several Quran Education Parks (TPQ), including TPQ Al-Asyraf, are conducted through face-to-face methods where teachers and students interact directly. These interactions often involve using books as the primary source of learning materials. Based on the observation activities, it has been identified that the direct teaching method has certain weaknesses, particularly when working with Generation Z students who are accustomed to enjoying multimedia resources in their daily lives. This research aims to implement marker based augmented reality technology in learning Al-Quran recitation. The media is designed to be based on mobile Android, the source material is taken from the book on the science of Tajwid written by K.H Imam Zarkasyi, one of the founders of Pondok Modern Gontor Ponorogo. The learning media concept is designed in the form of an augmented reality game following the mechanical, dynamic and aesthetic (MDA) Framework method, while the media design follows the steps of the software development life cycle (SDLC) method with the waterfall approach. This research resulted in the application "Belajar Tajwid" which contains examples of readings from each Mad's law in the form of three-dimensional animation. Testing is carried out through 4 stages, namely testing application features using the Black box method yielding a value of 100% and testing the suitability of the application with various android devices. Testing was also carried out by distributing questionnaires to an expert on Al-Qur'an recitation material with a score of 95%, a media expert with 90% and to potential users with an average score of 92%, so that the AR Learning Tajwid media was categorized as "appropriate" to be used as a new teaching media in learning recitation of Al-Qur’an .

Abstract

This study aims to develop an optimal classification model to identify the maturity level of coffee fruit based on color features of coffee fruit images. The color features red, green and blue in RGB color space and hue, saturation and value in HSV color space are extracted from the coffee fruit image and used as input for the support vector machine (SVM) classification model. In order to optimize the performance of SVM, hyperparameter tuning is used with the grid search method to determine the best parameters in the classification model built. By using 180 training images in determining the optimum parameters, the hyperparameter tuning results of the grid search method are obtained at cross validation (cv) = 6, cost (C) = 1000, gamma (γ) = 0.001, and kernel = linear. Then the optimum parameters are used as an SVM model to classify 45 test images into three different classes, namely ripe, half ripe and raw. Based on the evaluation with confusion matrix, it can be concluded that the built model has good performance with 98% accuracy. This indicates that the model is able to distinguish the three classes with a low error rate. With this ability, the model built has great potential in the agricultural industry to support the use of technology in agriculture, especially coffee farming such as post-harvest fruit processing. This model can be developed on a maturity level sorting machine.

Abstract

Jhon's Shop is a shop that sells various kinds of necessities for other smaller shops. Along with its development, Toko Jhon wants to add digital marketing methods to its products. The aim of this research is to design a user interface and user experience (UI/UX) for the Toko Jhon mobile application by applying the user-centered design method with four stages namely, specifying the context of use, specifying user requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating against requirements with heuristic evaluations to carry out the evaluation. User interface and user experience are important factors to ensure that users are comfortable when using the application. In the Design Solutions Stage, the author carries out low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs with the help of the Figma application. After the design is formed, an evaluation is carried out using heuristics, assisted by an evaluator. The results of calculations using the heuristic evaluation method showed that 18 statements were included in the Good and Very Good qualifications, and there were 2 statements included in the Fairly Good and Not Good qualifications, which were found in the Heuristics Help and Documentation aspect with recommendations for improvement namely, adding a help button and a contact admin feature. After improvements have been made, the UI/UX design is ready to be implemented in the application prototype.

Abstract

The Communication and Informatics Agency of Gianyar Regency is responsible for providing information and services to the public through their official website. However, as with many organizations, they are faced with the challenge of ensuring optimal usability and quality of user experience. In this study, a usability evaluation of the official website of the Communication and Information Technology Office of Gianyar Regency was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The evaluation results show that their current website has a low level of usability with an average score of 45.28 (grade scale F). Furthermore, these results are used as a reference to provide a solution design to the problems faced using the Design Thinking approach. After that, testing the solution design that has been given to improve the website interface. The test results showed a significant improvement in usability, with an average score of 88.78 (grade scale A). This shows that the improvements and design changes that have been implemented have successfully improved the user experience and usability of the website of the Communication and Information Agency of Gianyar Regency.

Abstract

The use of ground transportation in Indonesia, especially in major cities like Surabaya, has experienced rapid growth. However, this increased usage has also led to a rise in traffic accidents. One of the main contributing factors is driver distraction. Therefore, this study aims to develop a method for detecting distracted drivers using image classification technology with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) models. In this research, data was obtained from the "State Farm Distracted Driver Detection" dataset, which contains images of drivers who are either distracted or not focused while driving. The initial process involves data preprocessing, such as resizing images to 50 x 50 pixels and dividing the dataset into training and testing data. Next, feature extraction is performed using a CNN model with three convolutional layers, three Maxpooling layers, and one flattened layer. After feature extraction, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method is used to reduce the dimensionality of the data. Furthermore, an SVM model was trained using data reduced by PCA with a 60:40 data split. This research conducted a comparison between the use of PCA and not using PCA. Based on the test results, the use of PCA not only improved the classification accuracy to 96.28% compared to 92.46% without PCA but also accelerated the training time to 10.64 seconds from 19.67 seconds without PCA.
