Abstract

Every month women will experience menstruation, most women experience dysmenorrhea or menstrual pain during menstruation, women who have an early age of menarche will have an impact on the incidence of dysmenorrhea and women must also maintain nutritional status, therefore women must maintain a good diet. This study aims to determine the relationship between demographic characteristics and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in women of childbearing age at Sihonongan Village, Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency 2022. This type of research used a cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this study use purposive sampling, totaling 90 respondents. The instrument used is a demographic characteristics questionnaire and a dysmenorrhea questionnaire. The results showed that the family history is 65.6%, nutritional status show good category 90% and the incidence of dysmenorrhea was 86.7%. Based on the results of the Fisher exact test statistical test, age is not associated with the incidence of dysmenorrhea, the p-value is 0.867 (>0.05), family history is associated with the incidence of dysmenorrhea, the p-value is 0.006 (<0.05), nutritional status is not associated with the incidence of dysmenorrhea obtained p-value 0.343 (> 0.05). It is recommended for women of childbearing age to pay more attention to nutritional status such as consuming fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamins, protein, and carbohydrates and drinking enough water

Abstract

Increasing of life expectancy in Indonesia has an impact on increasing the number of elderly in Indonesia. Elderly is closely related to health problems. Falling is a major health problem that occurs in the elderly. Falling can reduce the quality of life of the elderly. Preventive action that can be taken to prevent falls in the elderly is to evaluate the understanding of the elderly regarding fall interventions. Fall risk increasing drugs is one of the fall interventions in the elderly. So that an evaluation of the understanding of elderly patients regarding fall risk increasing drugs can be carried out as a preventive action. The understanding of the elderly can be influenced by their last level of education. The elderly who live today received education in the past with all the limitations so that the participation of the elderly in the education sector is relatively low. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge level and elderly patients’ understanding of fall-risk increasing drugs. This research is a type of correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach and uses a research instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire with a Guttman scale. The number of respondents in the research were 50 elderly patients who consume fall risk increasing drugs in the Health Center of Cukir, Jombang Regency. The research results showed that there were 38 respondents (86%) with basic education level, 6 respondents (12%) with intermediate education level, and 1 respondent (2%) with high education level. Respondents with less understanding were 19 respondents (38%), respondents with a sufficient level of understanding were 25 respondents (50%), and respondents with a high level of understanding were 6 respondents (12%). Based on the research conducted, it shows that there is a relationship between education level and understanding of elderly patients regarding falling risk drugs at the Cukir Health Center, Jombang Regency with a significance value of 0.001 with a unidirectional relationship and it is known that the strength of the relationship is moderate with a correlation coefficient value of 0.442

Abstract

Dating violence is the second highest cause after dating violence. Adolescents are a population at risk for dating violence. This study aimed to analyze the differences at each level of education for incidents of physical, psychological, and sexual violence in dating to provide specific interventions based on the educational level to prevent dating violence. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample size was determined based on the calculation of the Slovin formula so that there were 267 samples for junior high school level, 304 for high school level, and 220 for College Level. The sample used had inclusion criteria including having dated and for respondents aged <17 years obtaining parental consent by filling out informed consent. Sampling was done using stratified random sampling. The technique of taking respondents at the junior and senior high school levels uses a list of classes with the same number of male and female students and uses the Google form. The data were tested for normality with the result that the data were not abnormally distributed with a significant value of 0.001, and the data were not homogeneous. Then a different test was carried out for three unpaired groups using the Kruskal-Wallis test. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the incidence of physical violence in courtship at the junior high school, high school, and college levels (p-value = 0.001), there were differences in the incidence of psychological violence in courtship at the junior high school, high school and university levels (p-value = 0.001), there were differences incidents of sexual violence in dating at the junior high school, high school and university levels (p-value = 0.001). It is necessary to provide education about preventing dating violence, especially for students, because dating violence is more common in universities

Abstract

As many as 810 mothers die every day from diseases/complications related to pregnancy and childbirth in 2017 and the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is still high in Indonesia. In the process of childbirth there is pain that is physiological in nature but can have bad consequences if not handled properly. Labor pain can be treated in non-pharmacological ways such as aromatherapy. Objective: to determine the effect of giving lavender aromatherapy to pain in the first stage of labor in mothers. Method : pretest-posttest experiment with control group design. The experimental group was given lavender aromatherapy, the control group was not intervention. The study was conducted in to the Midwife Practice Mandiri Nini and Ria at the in June - July 2022. The sample consisted 38 Mother Maternity first Stage. Data were analyzed using paired sample t test and non-parametric Mann Whitney test. The results : the p value of each characteristic in the experimental group and the group control shows a number > 0.05. This means that the characteristics of respondents between groups are equal or homogeneous. Bivariat : the value of P 0.001 in the experimental group and 0.002 in the control group. This is that the lavender aromatherapy for the scale of labor pain. The Non-Parametric Mann Whitney Test results obtained a p value of 0.004 (p <0.05), it can be concluded that there are differences in decreasing labor pain scale in the experimental group and the control group.
