Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies published by Lajnah Ta lif wan Nasyr Nahdlatul Ulama (LTN-NU) Kabupaten Probolinggo since 2021, can be said as the oldest academic journal dealing with the theme in Indonesian. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies, published twice a year. The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various perspectives of law, education, economics, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and many more. In the beginning, the journal only served as a scholarly forum for the lecturers and professors at the State Institute of Islamic Studies. However, due to the later development with a broader readership, the journal has successfully invited scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched the studies published in the journal. Although not from the beginning Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies presents highly qualified scholarly articles, improvement—in terms of format, style, and academic quality—never ceases. With articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with the fair procedure of peer review, Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies continues publishing research and studies pertinent to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies, published twice a year, always places Islam and Muslims in the central focus of academic inquiry and invites any comprehensive observation of Islam as a theological belief and a system of society and Muslims as those who practice the religion with their many facets. This journal, serving as a forum for studying Islam in Indonesia and other parts of the world within its local and challenging global context, supports focused studies of particular themes and interdisciplinary studies. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies has become a medium of diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, so much so that researchers, writers, and readers from various traditions of learning have interacted in a scholarly manner.

Abstract

The Healthy Community Movement (Germas) is part of an organized action that shapes behavior change in society in an effort to improve healthy living behavior. This movement is a movement launched by the president in 2017. During the COVID-19 pandemic, of course, the Germas program is very important in its implementation in society. In East Java, Germas is a very important movement in tackling cases of maternal and child mortality, stunting under five, leprosy, HIV, malaria and so on. East Java, which consists of 38 districts/cities, has several health problems. Cases of maternal and child mortality, stunting are high in three districts/cities in East Java. Therefore, this study has the aim to find out how the role of the healthy community movement during the COVID-19 pandemic in East Java and what obstacles are in the implementation of Germas in East Java. Obstacles in implementing Community Germas in East Java after the post-covid-19 pandemic. This study also looks at the implementation of Germas policies from an Islamic perspective. Therefore, the concept of Maqasid Syariah is also used in the study carried out. The study used a qualitative description, using observation or direct observation techniques. It uses phenomenology approach. The results of this study are the Community Movement (Germas) is part of an organized action that shapes behavior change in society in an effort to improve healthy living behavior and social solidarity which is part of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

The research is focuses on how the habituation of behavior through good examplary of teacher in the view of Syekh Imam al-Zarnuji, and how are the espousals and obstacles to make the habituation of the students’ behavior through ‘uswatun hasanah’ from the teacher at SMP Al-Ikhlash Lumajang. The research method is qualitative using Grounded Theory, the data collection is using observation, interview and documentation, and the analysis data is using inductive, deductive and descriptive. Based on the data analysis shown that the students’ behavior in perspective of Syekh Al-Zarnuji, it has been mostly impelemented at SMP Al-Ikhlash Lumajang. Firstly, the students’ behavior toward their teachers; they are honor deeply relating to the whole teachers’ thing. Secondly, they are honeor deeply of the knowledges such as make the books are neat in the bookshelves. Thirdly, the competencies of teacher were needed as the figure of uswatun hasanah perspective of Syekh al-Zarnuji has been the characteristics of each teacher at SMP al-Ikhlash Lumajang. The espousal factors of such habitual behavior are the recruitment of quality teachers from Lemdik al-Ikhlash, upgrading teachers, the bahavior has been the characteristic of teachers, adequate facilities, and continuity. While, the obstacles factors such as the input of students were from the various educational background in the beginning of school year.

Abstract

Islamic education is one of the institutions which has not a light responsibility in order to generate the future Rabbani generations, but they have to be able to keep and respect the same human rights as the expression of social human. The institution of Islamic education is well-known as the second place which has some prestige and guarantees for achieving the future learners. Such assumption has proven that mostly some weaknesses are being discovered in the institution of Islamic education in implementing their learning process as the provider establishment of the country in realizing the quality of these generations for their social need and theirs lives in communities. One of the main weaknesses was in management or institutional administration, especially in the planning function. It seemly that this institution conducted their (planning) management of activities from generation to generation are mostly oriented to the Islamic education contexts, in which the doctrine of religion is being considered to be normative in all aspects like the form of learners’ experiences. The research was a literature review that aims as the reference for the institution of Islamic education on what they have been considered that the good planning is an important factor in the management of Islamic education in order to achieve the learning as effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Blended learning is a combination of several aspects such as face-to-face with online learning, so this learning requires the role of a teacher and parents so that learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. This study focuses on the role of teachers and parents in achieving Islamic religious education learning through blended learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collected in the form of documents and words from interviews. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation through data analysis using the techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman (data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of educators and parents in achieving the effectiveness of learning Islamic religious education through blended learning at MTs Nurul Masyithoh Lumajang is quite good. It also reflects that the role of teachers and parents in achieving the effectiveness of Islamic religious education learning through blended learning is quite good with the help of teachers and parents being mentors, facilitators and motivators.

Abstract

The most basic of social life is justice. The justice in question is the justice recommended by the principles of the Qur'an and Hadith. Justice is also constructed to an ideal truth (morality) and has a great importance for most people (theoretical). This is an anticipation of action in regulating the potential for disputes (small/big). Justice in Islam is expected to include the meaning of equal or equality, balance (proportional), giving rights to the owner and divine justice. This also means that the rulers, officials are essentially also a mandate from God as a form of responsibility to uphold justice. Meanwhile, from the economic aspect that everyone has the same right to obtain a decent and prosperous life based on a sense of divine justice, and a sense of mutual need. This study uses an interpretive analysis with the hope of interpreting a meaning into a normative meaning.

Abstract

The existence of pesantren has an important meaning in solving community economic problems related to unemployment and poverty. It is important for pesantren to organize entrepreneurship education as a medium in introducing the business world as well as motivating students to become entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship education is expected to build the interest of students to become successful entrepreneurs after completing their education at pondok pesantren to open new job opportunities. This study focuses on marketing strategies, supporting and inhibiting factors in business entities owned by pesantren, especially in pesantren Manarul Qur'an. The research design used in this study is a type of field research with a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques through documentation, observation and interviews. Pesantren-Owned Enterprises are a Pesantren Business Center to develop businesses to be more independent in obtaining finances, in its development to achieve the goals to be achieved, it cannot be separated from a marketing strategy which consists of several elements including a marketing strategy by analyzing community needs, the art of identifying and taking advantage of opportunities. that appear in the market, and product pricing, product sales promotion. While the supporting factors are professional managers, adequate facilities and infrastructure and high public trust, and for inhibiting the lack of community response and the location of pensantren in remote areas. It is important to do further research related to online-based marketing strategies.

Abstract

Covid-19 has had many impacts on social life, one of which is in the education sector. Based on regulations that have been inaugurated by the government, teaching and learning activities are carried out online or in a network (online). Online learning is a learning activity whose interactions are carried out face-to-face through the internet using learning devices such as mobile phones. This study aims to explain the impact of Covid-19 on educators at MI Al Fithrah Surabaya and the teacher's efforts in implementing online learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive research is research that functions to describe, describe or describe a phenomenon and facts that are investigated systematically, factually and accurately. Data collection in this study was through questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used data reduction, data compilation, and data summarization. The results of this study are online learning activities at MI Al Fithrah run well through careful learning preparation. Good learning planning can make learning activities run effectively. In addition to good learning planning, there are learning media to support student understanding and teacher professionalism is needed in educating students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Learning media such as video conferences are an alternative for teachers in monitoring students online regarding understanding the material. This is the teacher's benchmark in ensuring student focus in participating in online learning. Giving assignments is also a benchmark for teachers in knowing students' understanding in mastering a material.

Abstract

This research is based on education in Indonesia, which is considered very rigid, bureaucratic and feels like nothing and futile. Problems in the world of education cannot be separated from the role of educators and a leader in an educational institution or foundation. This research is focused on the values ​​of educators from the perspective of KH. M. Adnan Syarif and the relevance of KH's example. M. Adnan Syarif in the book For the sake of Islam and NU: Commemorating the Actions and Struggles of KH. M. Adnan Syarif and aims to find out the values ​​of educators and the relevance of the example of a Kiai as an educator figure in an Islamic boarding school-based educational institution or foundation. This study uses the Literacy Study method (library research) which uses Content Analysis data collection techniques by reviewing books, and scientific works related to the focused problem. The primary data source in this research is the book “For the sake of Islam and NU: Memorizing the Actions and Struggles of KH. M. Adnan Syarif” which focuses on the values ​​of educators and their relevance by using a descriptive analysis approach. The results of the study show that the values ​​of KH. M. Adnan Syarif, namely the value of high dedication, professional, visionary, productive and intellectual. The values ​​of educators in the perspective of KH. M. Adnan Syarif is relevant to the competence of teachers and the opinions of several experts.

Abstract

MTs Swasta Madani is one of the formal educational institutions that has a tahfidz Quran extracurricular program. Tahfidz teachers implement the talaqqi method and bin-nadhar method in tahfidz extracurricular learning. Talaqqi method and bin-nadhar method are considered easy to apply for private MTs students. The purpose of this study is explaining the application of talaqqi method and bin-nadhar method in tahfiz extracurricular activities ,explaining the obstacles faced and solution. The results of this study: The steps for applying the talaqqi method where the teacher reads the Quranic verses that will be memorized by students with the correct recitation of the rhythm of Imam Thoha Al-Junayd then followed by the students. Then it is continued by using the bin nadhar method which invites students to read verse by verse which will be memorized repeatedly until they are memorized, after that it gives time for students to memorize themselves and deposit the memorization to the teacher if they have really memorized it. Constraints: the ability of each student is different so the target of memorization is not achieved evenly, lack of support from parents who do not help their children repeat memorization at home and narrow classrooms and different types of Quran manuscripts. Solution: the teacher groups students who are not fluent in reading the Quran to take tahsin classes, invites parents to control children learning the Quran and repeat memorization at home and instruct students to use a similar Quran.
