Al Irfani bertujuan untuk mempublish artikel dari hasil-hasil penelitian dalam wilayah kajian al Quran dan Tafsir serta al Hadist. Artikel yang dipublish menjadi referensi dan rujukan dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan sosial dan terkait dengan disiplin ilmu al Quran dan Tafsir serta hadist baik yang sifatnya teks, kontekstual maupun wujud implementasi dalam kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun. Adapun Scope jurnal Al Irfani adalah kajian meliputi tema tentang isu-isu seputar tafsir klasik, hermeneutika kontemporer, dirkursus living qur’an, manuskrip ql-Qur’an, Tafsir Gender, Relasi Al-Qur’an Dan Budaya Pop, Digital Al-Qur’an dan Tarjamah Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

“The tradition of Ta’wil al-Qur’an has not developed as rapidly as the tradition of interpretation. It could be that this is because the study of the ta'wil of the Quran has received less attention, even though the history of the representation of the Quran is very developed. This article Discuss the history of the ta’wil al-Qur’an in the Ahl as-Sunnah Theology tradition. The study framework used is the history of thoughts/ideas. Within the framework of this study, this article finds several conclusions: As an exegetical method, classical Islamic discourse has developed many ta'wil as a means of interpretation and theory in understanding the text of the Qur'an. The Historical Discussion of thinking about the ta’wil of the Qur'an in the tradition of ahl as-Sunnah shows the development of the diversity of thoughts and knowledge used in interpreting the al-Qur'an. Ibn Qutaybah in Ta'wil Musykil Al-Qur'an uses linguistic analysis, gives birth to linguistic takwil (at-ta'wil al-lughawi), al-Ghazali wrote Qanun at Ta’wil which depicts the work of the Qur'anic representations with a ta'wil Theological, al-Razi wrote Mafatih al-Ghaib with a style of thought ta'wil falsafi, Ibn' Arabi wrote al-Futuhat al-Makkiyyah with a Sufistic interpretation / ta'wil, and asy-Syatibi wrote al-Muwafaqat offering a paradigm of Ta 'wil Ushuli.”

Abstract

Muhammad al-Ghazali is a figure who is quite controversial with his work al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyyah baina Ahl al-Fiqh wa Ahl al-Hadith, where there are those who give a positive appreciation of the hermeneutics of hadith he offers, but there are also those who accuse him of being incar al-Sunnah. Therefore, it is very important to study the hermeneutic thought of Muhammad al-Ghazali's hadith, in this case it is focused on the traditions about singing which are still being debated whether or not it should be done in Islam in the contemporary era. The results of this research can be concluded that the hermeneutics of the hadith of Muhammad al-Ghazali regarding the hadiths regarding singing must be measured from the four criteria of authenticity of the hadiths, namely: 1) the observations of the hadith of the chant do not contradict Al-Qur'an Surah Luqman verse 6; 2) the observance of the singing hadith does not contradict other sahih traditions of the same theme; 3) the observance of the hadith of singing is in accordance with the historical fact that the Prophet praised the melodious voice of Abu Musa al-Asy'ari when reading the al-Qur'an while singing it; 4) the observance of the chanting hadith is in accordance with scientific truth that it can cause different psychological echoes and influences. Singing or listening to songs that have a noble meaning and a good melody is permissible. However, if the poetry and rhythm lead to immorality accompanied by things that are forbidden such as khamr and other heinous acts, then that is not allowed.

Abstract

Abstract - Al-Qur'an is the holy book that was revealed by Allah as a guide to all people. Among the instructions of the Al-Qur'an, there are various, one of which is an invitation to behave with noble morals, such as: honest, fair, gentle, amanah. This paper tries to learn about the concept of amanah in the Al-Qur'an. Regarding the various forms of the word amanah in the Al-Qur'an and their meanings, Al-Qur'an exclamation is known as amanah, and it is also a required attribute for the messenger. The application of the amanah by the objects of the amanah has various scopes, according to their respective responsibilities. Given the importance of applying the amanah in life, we hope that by using this thematic method, we can provide an easier to understand the understanding of the explanation of the amanah verses contained in the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of birrul walidain in the Qur’an, especially in Qs. Al-Isra 'verse 23 which seems to be ignored nowadays, of course, Birrul Walidain here is related to actions, especially words to parents. In the study of semiotics, the word uff is a symbol in the delivery of speech that must be interpreted. One of the semiotic theories developed by scholars is Roland Barthes' semiotics because Barthes uses structural analysis in textual criticism. In his theory, Barthes offers two stages of theory. First, it is referred to as a linguistic system or commonly known as denotative meaning. Second, it is called a mythological system commonly known as connotative meaning. More details. The linguistic system is textual reading and the mythological system is contextual reading. It is certain that the concept of birrul walidain in the Qur'an is very relevant to Barthes' theory, even to other contemporary problems today. Then, the author will apply Barthes' semiotic theory to understand the concept of birrul walidain in the Koran. The results of the application of the theory in Q.S al-Isra verse 23, namely: the linguistic system in the word uff which is not only interpreted as "ah" but also a prohibition not to speak harshly to parents. While the mythological system is that a child is required to serve his parents by loving them both. The ideology contained in this verse is related to morals, not only to parents, but also to older people

Abstract

This article will discuss “Maleman” tradition in Bilok Petung Village, Sembalun, East Lombok. “Maleman” tradition aims to liven up the night of Lailatul Qadar which is known as the night with a thousand glory in it. This article will explain how “Maleman” tradition is practiced based on religious texts and motivated by local custom and culture. Using the living hadis with stages of observation, interview, documentation, and interpretation, it can be concluded that; first, “Maleman” tradition is a practice based on normative arguments and historical reasons, second, the practice of “Maleman” is supported by the traditions inherent in the community, and third, “Maleman” tradition is a religious tradition and a form of harmonization between religion and cultural customs.

Abstract

This research was conducted to seek and find the meaning of the signs and symbols in the term Jihad in the Qur'an based on Peirce's semiotic approach. This departs from the problem of narrowing the meaning of jihad which is more widely interpreted as war and crackdown against disbelief. However, if viewed in depth, the term jihad does not only contain a narrow meaning but contains broader meanings. By using Peirce's semiotic analysis knife, the author seeks to find the meaning attached to the term jihad in the Qur'an through the signs and symbols associated with the term. In the theory of semiotics, Charles Sanders Peirce is famous for his trichotomy (sign, object, and interpretant). This research is presented with a qualitative descriptive method to explain in depth through the data that has been found. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the meaning and interpretation of the term jihad in several verses of the Qur'an does not only mean war, but has other meanings according to different contexts in each verse or surah. The meaning of jihad in general in this study there are three perspectives including First, jihad means da'wah (Jihad bi al-Qaul), Second, jihad means war (Jihad bi ash-Shilah). Third, jihad means charity (Jihad bi al-amal). This shows that jihad in the Qur'an has a broad and varied meaning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the interaction of Islam and Arab culture; in this case, the response of the Prophet saw with the culture of the Arab community. As uswah hasanah for his ummah, the variety of responses of Rasulullah saw contained in the hadith and historical records will be identified and then lessons will be taken from it. The background of this paper stems from the anthropological fact that society, including the Arab society before the advent of Islam, is not a society empty of culture or sterile from the influence of religion, customs, morals, and rules of life that have existed among them. As soon as Islam came with all the norms that were in it, then Islam interacted with it and became a filter for the culture, customs, and beliefs that already existed among the pre -Islamic Arab society. The question is how did Muhammad saw respond to that tradition? This study is based on a study of historical literature that contains the Prophet's response to the traditions of the Arab community. There are four important findings that can be noted regarding the Prophet's response to the jāhiliyyah tradition. First, the tradition is fully accommodated (total accommodation). Second, traditions that are totally rejected or totally corrected (total refuse or total correction). Third, traditions that are partly adopted but partly rejected (particular accommodation). Fourth, the tradition is in principle preserved with a little modification here and there (synchronization and modification).

Abstract

This paper seeks to map and format new typologies in the study of hadith, ranging from the classical period to the present. As the second source or teaching of Islam after the Qur'an, hadith has an important position in the lives of Muslims. From time to time, traditions continue to be studied with a variety of methods and approaches. The hadith which was originally shaped "the sunnah of the Prophet (living traditions)" began to be studied massively at the beginning of the second century of hijriah, and reached its peak in the 3rd century hijriah. This happened after there was official instruction from the eighth Caliph of the Umayyad Dynasty, namely ‘Umar bin‘ Abdul ‘Azīz (d. 101 H), to several state officials and local hadith scholars. In addition to carrying out the codification (tadwīn) of hadith, previous scholars also wrote literature related to the traditions of hadith. There are two forms or models of the study of hadith science, namely the science of hadith riwāyah and hadith science dirāyah. As time goes by, dirāyah hadith or what is commonly called the science of muṣṭalaḥ al-ḥadīṡ, receives enormous attention from the scholars of hadith. From these two branches of the science of hadith, scholars develop their studies more broadly. The object of the study of hadith which initially consisted of sanad and matan, is now beginning to be studied in a more interesting form after the emergence of thinkers from the Western world or among orientalists. Even including Muslim scholars who are critical of the study of hadith. There are at least four objects and the scope of the hadith study that needs to be studied further, namely the Sanad/Figure Study, Text/Matan Study, Hadith Book Study, and Regional Study. Of the four things, it certainly can be expanded into several separate and detailed studies.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an membicarakan asal mula penciptaan manusia, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan. Dalam penciptaannya, Allah SWT telah melengkapi manusia dengan nafsu syahwat, yaitu keinginan untuk menyalurkan keinginan bioligis. Dalam rangka itu, Allah SWT menciptakan segala sesuatu di muka bumi ini dengan berpasang-pasangan, ada siang ada malam, ada besar ada kecil, ada langit ada bumi, ada surga ada neraka, dan ada laki-laki ada perempuan. Semua itu diciptakan untuk menjadikan ketenteraman hati terhadap manusia. Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menjawab dua rumusan masalah, yaitu bagaimana bentuk rasionalitas penafsiran Muhammad Abduh dan bagaimana penafsiran Muhammad Abduh dalam memahami perintah ayat poligami. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), menggunakan metode pendekatan hermeneutika, yaitu pendekatan untuk memahami teks dengan cara mengungkapkan pemikiran melalui kata-kata sebagai medium penyampaian, menerjemahkan, dan bertindak sebagai penafsir. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, bentuk rasioanalitas Muhammad Abduh dapat dilihat dari caranya menafsirkan ayat poligami, dia mampu mempersempit ruang gerak poligami dengan menafsirkan kata adil. Menurutnya tidak ada seorang suami yang bisa berbuat adil terhadap istri-istrinya dalam segala hal, termasuk hal lahiriyah dan bathiniyah. Firman Allah menyatakan bahwa manusia tidak akan mampu berlaku adil di antara istri-itrinya meskipun ia sangat menginginkannya. Jika dihubungkan antara surah an-Nisa ayat 3 dengan ayat 129, maka pesan sesungguhnya yang ingin disampaikan al-Qur’an adalah bukan tentang kebolehan berpoligami sebagai aturan yang berlaku umum, melainkan bahwa poligami merupakan kebolehan yang sangat terbatas.
