Abstract

Quantum computing is the most promising computational advance of the coming decade for solving the most challenging problems in supply chain management and logistics. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of quantum computing and provides directions for future research. First, general concepts relevant to quantum computers and quantum computing are introduced. Second, the dominating quantum technologies are presented. Third, the quantum industry is analyzed, and recent applications in different fields of supply chain management and logistics are illustrated. Fourth, directions for future research are given. We hope this review to educate and inspire the use of quantum computing in the fields of optimization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for supply chain and logistics.

Abstract

The study analyzes the effect of environmental uncertainty and incoterms on strategic alliances. The population in this study is a freight forwarder company on the island of Java that has a global alliance. The research sample is 50 companies engaged in international freight forwarders. Based on answers from respondents were analyzed according to the research model developed from the theoretical framework using the structural equation model Smart-PLS approach. The analysis results show that environmental uncertainty and Incoterm positively and significantly affect strategic alliances. The alliance strategy will impact when the main priority is the risk-sharing aspect, the risk management factor from the incoterm aspect, and the market turbulence on the environmental uncertainty factor. Novelty in this study is the positive impact of Incoterm on the alliance strategy, especially for International freight forwarders. This research contributes to the factors considered in strategic alliances in the freight forwarder industry. It also contributes to the company's strategy, especially sales managers, to pay attention to international trade terms in segmenting and selecting target consumers to be more effective in improving alliance performance. The limitations of this study include 1) The sample size used is only a small number of companies engaged in international Freight Forwarder services, only 50 companies; 2) The data used in this research is through the distribution of questionnaires based on perceptual analysis units; 3) Other factors that are outside the model are not all studied, while the possibility of these factors can affect the existing significance test.

Abstract

Management Information System is a system that is used in the processing and organizing of data and information that has been used to support the overall management processes of an organization. With a good system, the leadership can obtain data regarding work experience, position experience, job performance, loyalty, and other information that can support the decision-making process including employee career development. This study aims to figure out the role of the Employee Performance Management Information System (SIMKP) in the decision-making of employee career development at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado. The qualitative research design with a case study approach was carried out at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado, from February to April 2022. Data collection techniques used were observations and interviews. The results of this study were there are three stages of the role of MIS in decision making of career development. The intelligence stage helps in collecting the data needed in the decision making of employee career development process, the design stage helps in processing and analyzing existing the data to be used in the employee career development decision-making process, and the choice stage helps in determining choices from various alternatives in the employee career development decision-making process. It can be concluded that there are three stages in which SIMKP plays a role in the career development decision-making process of employees in PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado

Abstract

The coffee shop has now become a phenomenon in the community, drinking coffee is now no longer just to eliminate sleepiness, but as part of a lifestyle where the coffee shop is a very popular gathering place. The city of Tomohon is also inseparable from the phenomenon of coffee shops where coffee shops have begun to appear in various locations around the Tomohon city. This study aims to determine the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions on coffee shops in Tomohon City by conducting a case study at Elmonts Coffee & Roastery Tomohon. The method used in this research is a qualitative case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity technique used is source triangulation and triangulation techniques with data analysis techniques namely Miles and Huberman model analysis techniques. The results showed 6 factors that influenced purchasing decisions at a coffee shop in Tomohon City, namely product, atmosphere, social, promotion, location, and brand.

Abstract

 Various studies have proven the effectiveness of social media in influencing consumers. This is used by business actors to increase sales through social media. Especially now that entertainment media such as Tiktok also provide convenience by presenting the Tiktok shop and Tiktok live streaming shopping. The presence of TikTok live streaming shopping is increasingly spoiling TikTok users. In fact, many potential consumers who had no previous shopping plans suddenly made a purchase. This is called impulsive buying. Impulse behavior is certainly not wise to do during a global crisis like today. The decline in income levels requires people to downsize. This study aims to determine the effect of tiktok live streaming shopping on impulsive buying behavior in the era of the global crisis. From the results of research conducted on 100 sample people using a qualitative descriptive method, it shows that tiktok live streaming shopping has a significant effect of 38.5% on impulsive buying behavior. This is due to the affordable product selling prices, ease of communication between sellers and buyers, as well as attractive promos such as special prices when shopping during live streaming.

Abstract

JNE is a company engaged in the delivery of goods in Indonesia. Goods delivery is not only done within the country but also provides overseas goods delivery services. PT JNE Express has an extensive network and professional services that have helped in product distribution and increased competitiveness in marketing. Freight forwarding service companies have specific marketing strategies in capturing markets and competing for customers with different marketing strategies, strategies and determining the right marketing mix will make it easier for companies to create, build and carry out good marketing strategies. This study aims to find out how the marketing strategy is implemented in PT JNE Express.This study uses a qualitative descriptive method approach. Description method to explain aspects related to research collected through literature study. This study uses research journals, books, theses, and trusted online news channel sources to collect data, reduce and search for and select variable descriptions.Based on the results of marketing strategy research conducted by PT JNE Express, namely using the application of segmenting, targeting, positioning and marketing mix. This strategy has superior products that suit customer needs which include good service and information communication and the process strategy includes fast and precise technology-oriented contact service services.

Abstract

One of the services provided by the container depot is maintenance and repair (M&R) with a function to repair damaged containers during the process of shipping goods. The purpose of this study is to determine the existing management activities in an empty container depot, especially in maintenance and repair operational activities. The research method used in the study conducted is a qualitative method with observation, interview with informan, literature studies, documentation, and triangulation. The results of this research is, the operational management activities of repair containers at the PT. Sricon Logistik Indonesia Semarang has been running quite well, but it is necessary to make a standard of documentation police in survey activity and the accuracy of loading and unloading activities at TPKS and improve the skills of the company's human resources.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the textile sector with one of its products being grey cloth which is stored in the grey 2 warehouse before being released. In the course of their activities, even though they have implemented Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), workers are still found to be negligent which has the potential to cause work accidents. For this reason, it is necessary to identify the hazards of each job in the grey 2 warehouse using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential hazards that exist in each job and determine recommendations for their control. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that from all the work carried out in the grey weaving 2 warehouse, there were 18 identified potential hazards. Control recommendations that can be carried out by the company are to use complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), focus or not joke when working, ensure the condition of work tools before use, ensure that the path to be passed is safe, put work tools in the right place, arrange cloth tightly, and maintain a safe distance from work tools. Advice that can be given to companies is to provide education about hazards and control recommendations for each job, provide reward to workers, and form an OHS team.
