Abstract

A Couple in early marriage, should be able to adjust each of their expectation, roles, traits, and family of origin. Navy’s wives have to encounter a set of marital adjustment that different from the other couple in general because the cycle of deployment and reunion of their husband. This study aims to describe marital adjustment problems of navy’s wives and factors that contribute to marital adjustment. This is quantitative and qualitative study, using dyadic adjustment scale, psychological tests, and interview methods that processed using statistic and thematic. These participants are navy’s wives, length of married is below five years, and their husband experienced deployment cycle. The results of this study are participants have a marital adjustment problems in general and marital adjustment problems about deployment-reunion cycle that affected by factor personality and irrational expectancy. System support are needed for navy’s wives and family to reduce the negative effects during the deployment. Prepare program before married that consist psychologist aspects are needed to anticipate marital adjustment problems for navy’s wives

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant influence between career counseling services and self efficacy on career maturity of students of the Indo Baruna cruise. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey research method, Using multiple regression analysis technique. Collecting data using questionnaire compiled using Likert scale, with details of career maturity scale of 48 items, 40 career advisory service scores, and self-efficacy scale of 36 items. The number of subjects in this study were 98 students from class X and class XI. The sampling technique in this research is with a saturated sampling technique. The results showed that the hypothesis that there was a significant influence between career guidance services and self efficacy at Indo Baruna cruise Surabaya accepted, with a 20.2% contribution. The first minor hypothesis was received by a contribution of 17.1%. The second minor hypothesis there was a significant influence between self efficacy on career maturity of studentsof Indo Indouna cruise received, with 8.8% contribution.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of father, who works as a soldier, in the care of his children who are in their late adolescence. Based on five components composing father involvement in parenting: positive engangement activities, warmth and responsiveness, control, indirect care, and process responsibility, then measurements were taken on 112 college students. This descriptive quantitative research carried out data processing using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, especially for non-parametric statistics: Spearman correlation, Mann-Whitney Uand Kruskal-Wallis. The results showed that 50% of respondents rated the involvement of fathers in parenting as being moderate, 38% categorized high and 12% categorized as low. The highest component that composes father involvement is control.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the relationship between 5 guidance needs, namely educational needs, vocational needs, physic needs, social needs, and psychological needs with shyness among Senior High School adolescents in Makassar. A total of 415 Senior High School adolescent as the subject in this study by using accidental sampling technique. Inventory that used to assess shyness is Ridfah’s shyness inventory and guidance needs inventory to assess guidance needs. The Result showed that shyness have significant relationship with guidance needs and all the areas, which are educational needs, vocational needs, physic needs, psychological needs and social needs. Results revealed that the among the five areas of guidance needs, social needs have the highest correlation value to shyness in individuals with r = -0,448. This study revealed that the need for guidance needs is measured in order to optimize the guidance to be provided.

Abstract

This study was purposed to determine factors that influence students in utilizing the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R) at their school. This study uses a correlation research design with a cross sectional approach. The number of participant of this study are 36 students. Data analysis using Chi-Square techniques. The results of the study were 34 students (94.4%) had good knowledge about PIK-R, 34 students (94.4%) had positive attitudes towards PIK-R, 33 students (91.7%) had already exposed to sources of information about PIK-R, 34 students (94.4%) had used PIK-R in their daily life. Chi Square test results on knowledge variables show that there is a significant correlation between students knowledge of PIK-R, on attitude variable show that there is a significant correlation between students attitudes of PIK-R, and on exposure of information variables show that there is a significant correlation between sources of information with utilization of PIK-R.

Abstract

This studied aimed to described the form of parental involvement in kindergarten who have achievement in drawing. Parental involvement can be seen from the activities of (1) parenting, (2) communicating, (3) volunteering, (4) learning at home, (5) decision making, (6) collaborating with the community. This research method used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Six respondents were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using interviews and field notes conducted on six parents of students who have achievement in drawing. The results showed that parents who did not work could involve themselves more real to support their children's achievements.
