Abstract

The hegemony between religious and ethnic identities that are part of cultural rights and community rights to identity. Later both of these exponents then came into contact with the concepts of modernization and globalization, even the civil society. Nagari as the crystallization of the cultural rights of the Minangkabau’s indigenious people on the history of Indoesian government always changes. This study uses a grounded research approach with constant comparacy analysis. A series of changes that occurred did not eliminate the existence of modeling civil society that is different from the western concept. This can be seen in the nagari governance model in regulation.

Abstract

This study was to determine the management of high inheritance in Minangkabau indigenous society. It was a socio-legal research or non doctrinal research. It observed the empirical data descriptively. It analyzed law effectiveness by comparing between das sollen and das sein. Data were collected by implementing library research method using documentary study technique in written materials. Meanwhile, a field research used direct communication technique using interview guideline. Sampling method was a purposive sampling. Drawing conclusions was conducted by implementing inductive method, and data analyzing was conducted qualitatively. The research finds out that the management of high inheritance in Minangkabau indigenous society can occur in the form of land inheritance and others. The management of land inheritance, which is based on ganggam bauntuak, can be managed by ganggam bauntuak holder society and other people based on the agreement. The management of non-land inheritance is an effort to preserve the inheritance due to the transition from land inheritance to other inheritance such as gold.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently a nation with a diversity of cultures, but in this diversity there is an influence given by foreigners even though not entirely. The influence given by foreigners can be learned from the cultural acculturation in Indonesia, like the acculturation of local culture with Hindu-Buddhist culture, and acculturation of local culture with Islamic culture. The focus of this writing is the result of culture due to the influence given by Islam in Nusantara culture, because nowadays Islamic culture affects many customs or all local traditions run by the wider community. This study was conducted using historical methods, namely heuristics to collect data, criticism for sorting data, interpretation to interpret the data that was received, and historiography to incorporate all the necessary data For historical writing, as well as conducting literature study methods, with a series of research methods, researchers found that the Islamic culture has had considerable influence both in the material and non material culture.

Abstract

This research attempts to solve the problem of the low motivation of students in history learning through contextual local history. This research was conducted in two cycles in four meetings using material at the proclamation of independence on August 17, 1945 which had been carried out in Salimpaung Public High School class XII IPS 2 which used the education unit level curriculum. The results of the study prove that student motivation increased after using local contextual history of 37.50% in fisrt cycle to 58.33% in cycle 2. Student creativity increased from 20.83% in cycle 1 to 45.83% in cycle 2 while assignments increased from 50% in cycle 1 to83.34% in cycle 2. This agreement was used by history teachers in the learning process.

Abstract

The tradition of “mambuka Kapalo Banda” is one of knowledge culture in Kanagarian Malalo. “mambuka Kapalo Banda” is still being carried out because the indenous people stiil feel the venue and meaning captured from this tradition. The values taken from local knowledge have relevance to the planting of cultural values and Islamic values, so that this tradition needs to be continually managed and preserved by the local government. Instill the cultural values seen in this “mambuka kapalo Banda” in Malalo warrior.
