Abstract

Stunting, as a complex issue, demands a serious and comprehensive approach. Accelerating efforts to reduce stunting is imperative and requires collaboration from all stakeholders, including the Tidore government, private sector, community, and families. Furthermore, addressing this issue necessitates extensive longitudinal research to investigate its prevalence and influencing factors. To tackle this, a crucial study is essential to unveil the prevalence trends of stunting from 2022 to 2023, covering the last two years in the Tidore Kepulauan. The primary goal of this research is to provide a comprehensive overview of stunting trends in Tidore through long-term analysis, exploring prevalence fluctuations. Employing a descriptive statistical approach, this study relies on numerical data as its primary foundation, focusing on in-depth descriptive analysis of stunting prevalence trends in the Tidore Kepulauan over the last two years. Data from the Directorate General of Regional Development's website reveals significant variations among villages in 2022. Villages like Gurabati (1.2%), Toloa (2.1%), and Maregam (3.8%) exhibit low rates, whereas Topo (45.5%), Topo Tiga (23.1%), and Maitara Tengah (20.6%) have high rates. Specific efforts are needed in high-prevalence villages to improve child nutrition and overall community well-being. The 2023 prevalence data shows significant variations among villages, with some areas displaying alarmingly high rates. Descriptive statistical analysis links stunting in the Tidore Kepulauan to several key factors. Malnutrition (32.4%), inadequate nutritional intake, and prenatal malnutrition (28.2%) are major contributors. Genetic factors (16.2%), poor hygiene (4.8%), and viral/bacterial infections (4.1%) also play roles. Lower economic levels and other factors contribute in smaller proportions (2.8% and 3.0% respectively). Although 8.5% of respondents are unaware of the causes, this analysis provides a comprehensive overview of factors that need attention to combat stunting in the Tidore Kepulauan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of village government leadership on enhancing community participation in development planning in Cicadas Village, Bogor Regency. The research utilized a quantitative method with a population of 234 households. Sampling was conducted through incidental sampling using the Slovin Formula, resulting in a sample size of 148 households. Data collection involved observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis employed frequency tabulation and simple regression analysis using IBM SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The findings indicate that village government leadership significantly influences community participation in development planning in Cicadas Village, evidenced by a calculated t-value of 8.778 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting Ho and accepting Hi. Consequently, there exists a strong correlation between village government leadership and the optimization of community participation in development planning. Better village government leadership correlates with increased community participation in development planning. This research is expected to serve as a guideline for village governments in rural development planning and to provide comprehensive insights into the importance of village government leadership and community participation optimization.

Abstract

This research delves into the implementation of social security programs, particularly focusing on tobacco farm workers in Jember regency, Indonesia. Despite the mandatory nature of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, many tobacco farm laborers remain uncovered, posing risks to their social and economic well-being. Utilizing a quantitative research methodology, the study employs questionnaires and statistical analysis to understand the factors influencing participation in the BPJS Employment program. Findings reveal that variables such as Program Urgency, Farmers' Knowledge, Program Benefits, Farmers' Expectations, and the Role of Local Government collectively explain 67.5% of tobacco farmers' participation. Notably, Program Urgency and Program Benefits significantly impact participation, highlighting the vital role of social security in providing financial assurance against job-related risks. Moreover, active involvement of the Local Government is essential in fostering farmers' interest and engagement in the program. These findings underscore the significance of social security programs for tobacco farm workers, emphasizing the need for government support and facilitation to enhance program participation and ensure the welfare of vulnerable laborers.

Abstract

Agrotourism in Indonesia stands as a vital potential for development support. Indonesia boasts numerous agrotourism destinations, with one such developed site located in Turekisa Village, Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This tourist destination has gained prominence due to its breathtaking natural beauty, often dubbed as the "land above the clouds," a reputation that continues to grow alongside the increasing number of visitors to the hills and the abundant natural resources, particularly the substantial coffee production at Bukit Wolobobo. The coffee cultivated around Bukit Wolobobo is of the Arabica variety. The aim of this study is to analyze strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats, and to determine development strategies for coffee-based agrotourism in Turekisa Village, Ngada Regency. The research methodology employs SWOT analysis, drawing data from interviews with six key informants: the Head of Agriculture Department, Head of Tourism Department, Agricultural Extension Officer, Chairperson of the Coffee Farmers' Group, Tourism Management, and Community Leaders. The findings of this study indicate placement in Quadrant I, suggesting that the coffee plantation agrotourism in Turekisa Village needs to be maintained and further enhanced given its significant quality potential.

Abstract

The creation of research and community service articles is essential for advancing knowledge and societal development, serving as pillars in academia and community engagement. These articles go beyond mere documentation, incorporating methodological rigor, theoretical frameworks, and practical implications of research findings. Understanding the intricacies of crafting such articles reveals their role as instruments for fostering connections between academia and society. They contribute to the collective understanding of various phenomena and address societal issues, demanding intellectual honesty, transparency, and a pursuit of truth. Research articles illuminate theoretical landscapes, while community service articles bridge the gap between academia and everyday life, emphasizing practical applications. Crafting articles that seamlessly integrate both aspects requires a multidimensional approach, balancing theoretical depth with practical relevance. Research methodologies, ethical guidelines, and clear articulation of objectives form the bedrock of credible and impactful research articles. The symbiotic relationship between research and community service articles becomes apparent in their shared goal of societal betterment. Rigorous methodologies enhance credibility and study replicability, while theoretical frameworks provide conceptual underpinning. Effective crafting of community service articles involves communicating research outcomes and reflecting on implications for stakeholders. In the digital age, accessibility of information enables broader engagement through multimedia elements and interactive content. It is crucial to note the fundamental differences between research articles and community engagement articles, including concept, purpose, and content. Research articles highlight scientific findings, while community engagement articles focus on applying research to benefit society directly.
