Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Through this conference, the researchers are able to share their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities.

<![CDATA[Sistem informasi pelayanan order pada restoran berbasis web mobile dapat memudahkan proses antar pengunjung dan pemilik restoran dalam terjadinya sebuah transaksi. Pengunjung dapat langsung memilih dan memesan menu yang diinginkan saat duduk dimeja, tidak perlu menunggu pelayan mendatangi meja maupun menuju antrian pada meja kasir. Metode waterfall digunakan agar dapat mengurangi kesalahan yang terjadi saat pengembangan sistem, dimana melakukannya secara bertahap dan berurutan. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan sistem yang dapat diakses pelanggan, kasir, dan dapur sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi tingkat human error dan meringankan pekerjaan dari restoran dan agar lebih efektif.]]>

<![CDATA[Photobook is a book or album that contains photos and can be arranged first and then printed in the form of a book. In the Design of Thai Traditional Food photobook which contains a variety of traditional Thai foods that have unique characteristics. The purpose of this study is to introduce traditional Thai food so that people know more about traditional Thai food. The author uses this research method through the stages of the research flow, namely planning, data collection, design and results. In this design the application used is Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. At the data collection stage using interview and observation activities. The results of the design of a traditional food photobook containing Thai food and several locations that have taken photos. The results of the photobook that has been designed with simple design simplicity by using a simple and attractive layout that will be displayed in a slow lifestyle style. The color grading that the author uses is the Adobe Lightroom 5.3 Software application to explain and check colors. the result is the print stage which is printed with a size of 20 x 20 cm. With this photobook, it is hoped that it will provide more information about traditional Thai food for the community.]]>

<![CDATA[Research conducted by researchers in this paper is to identify factors influencing the willingness to pay of Batam residents to use the internet service providers. Materials used in this study are : convenience, price, value, quality, trust, and willingness to pay more. Trust will be the mediator variable for the connection between the dependent factor of wilingness to pay more with the rest of the variable. The sample used in this research are resident of the Batam City who is using the the internet service providers provided in batam city. A sample of 284 respondents was used in this research. Data is collected using the Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) app. The results of the study showed that the influence variable which was stated to be significantly positive on willingness to pay more are quality and convenience. Variables that are declared insignificant are the effect of price and value.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial, efektivitas dewan direksi, efektivitas komite audit dan arus kas operasi terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2015 - 2019. Hasil pengujian data menunjukkan arus kas operasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap manajemen laba sehingga jika arus kas operasi menurun, maka besar kemungkinan perusahaan akan melakukan praktik manajemen laba. Pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial, efektivitas dewan direksi dan efektivitas komite audit tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel tersebut tidak mempengaruhi keputusan perusahaan untuk melakukan praktik manajemen laba.]]>

<![CDATA[Internet Service Providers (ISPs) provide internet services, both for local and international internet connections. The need for internet bandwidth is increasing day by day, sometimes 1 ISP is not enough to support our needs. In some large companies that rely heavily on internet access, of course they have several internet providers for network backups when one ISP goes down. One way of implementing backup and merging of Internet ISP lanes requires load balancing techniques. The method used is Equal Cost Multi Path which is a load balancing technique that uses a per addresspair connection load balancing method. ECMP allows routers to have more than one gateway for a single destination network. This method can be useful to overcome if one ISP is disconnected it will be able to be replaced by a second ISP so that the internet is not immediately lost. The results obtained after implementing ECMP load balancing, companies and users will continue to be connected to the internet, and work will not be interrupted when the main ISP is down]]>

<![CDATA[Abstrak The research was conducted to test and analyze the independent variables against the dependent variable. The independent variable consists of company size, leverage, profitability, and capital intensity and the dependent variable is company tax avoidance. The object of this research is a company that has an annual report that is registered and published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019. The sample selected based on purposive sampling technique of 452 companies. The data is then processed with SPSS and Eviews software, which are analyzed using panel regression models. The results obtained by researchers indicate that company size and tax avoidance have a significant positive relationship. Leverage, profitability, and capital intensity variables do not show a significant relationship to tax avoidance.]]>

<![CDATA[Blood scarcity can be one of the main factors of life and death for patients who need blood. Therefore, organizations working in blood management Indonesian Red Cross try to spread information to invite people to donate blood. The spreading of information about blood donation is often done through social media. Twitter is one of the social media used in spreading this information. The method used to complete the system is waterfall by doing requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation. The information spreaded has very large amount. Each information can be classified into several data groups. There are many ways to classify information data, one type of classification used in making the system is unsupervised classification where the classification is carried out without supervision or often called clustering. The clustering method used is the k-means method. This technique can classify large amounts of data relatively quickly and efficiently. In clustering k-means method, the optimal number of clusters is needed so the results of clustering are better. To determine the optimal number of clusters, the Elbow method is used to obtain the best cluster value. The results of data grouping are presented in the form of visualizations, so that information becomes easier to understand quickly because it is supported by graphs and tables as well as responsive colors. The output of this research is a web-based analysis system that can classify the spreading of information obtained from the Indonesian Red Cross twitter account and visualize it in the form of diagrams.]]>

<![CDATA[Residential housing development in Batam as an urban city has grown well. However, housing developers' increased construction on small, medium, and high density has massively affected concrete volume and rebar (steel reinforcement). Hence, the purpose of structural engineering analysis had to have a brilliant idea to provide a way of design and implementation to reduce the uses of the concrete and reinforcement without reducing the strength and serviceability of structures. An efficient concrete volume and rebar with the same structure strengths is the goal of this research. A simple two- or three-story house structure elements consist of foundation, column, beam, and slab. At this time, what to achieve is to provide a design that can reduce the use of the concrete volume of slab compared between conventional and ribbed slabs. For the typical slab design, what to achieve is the deflection of the slab, which can be categorized as serviceability. Limitations of this case are only for a simple slab layout of 5m x 5m and focus on optimizing the volume concrete efficiency with all dead load and living load if referred to our Indonesian Standard (SNI). Specification of beam and column design did not consider in this research. This research methodology is running model the slab design between a conventional and ribbed slab using ETABS. The study will provide a structural detail between these two-slab designs and dimensions.]]>
