Abstract

A mop is a very simple tool, but it is very much needed in society, especially to help with household work. In this final project the author tries to make a thread roller to process the manufacture of mops. The basic material for making mops is 0.85 cotton yarn and the waste material is clothing waste. The design of a tool with results that can support the need for the manufacture of basic materials in the production of mops, which is expected to be useful for the textile industry, which can meet market needs and can be used as a home industry so that it can improve people's living standards. In the design of the Yarn Winding Machine above, it can be produced: the diameter of the driving pulley is 100 mm and the diameter of the pulli being driven is 100 mm. The ratio of the pulli on the drive shaft to the pulli being driven is 1: 1, the main shaft of 19 mm can deliver 144 watts of power. These machines have a transmission system driven by an electric motor HP/1400 rpm/1 phase by using a large pulley of 210 mm with a small pully diameter of 45 mm. Belts used with L = 813 mm with a total of 2 pieces can connect a power of 144 watts.

Abstract

A quality product is obtained from good cutting conditions. One of the deviations caused by the cutting conditions is the cylindrical process of the process, therefore in this study the effect of the feed motion (f) and the main cutting angle (Kr) on the cylindrical results of the workpiece surface on the cylindrical lathe process was carried out. The machining process is carried out with a depth of cut of 0.5 mm by varying the feeding motion (f) and the main cutting angle (Kr) with a constant spindle rotation (n) of the ST 37 workpiece which has a diameter of 30 mm and a length of 150 mm and is turned along ± 120 cm. mm using an HSS chisel. After the workpiece is turned, the cylindrical size of the workpiece is measured using Block – V and Dial Indicator. The results of this study found that, in the use of Kr = 90° (β = 60°, = 3°, = 27°) cylindrical value = 180 – 390 m, Kr = 70° (β = 50°, = 13°, = 27°) cylindrical value = 370 - 480 m, and Kr = 60° (β = 34 °, = 24°, = 32°) the cylindrical value = 510 – 860 m. Feeding motion has a great influence on the cylindrical surface, because the greater the feeding motion, the greater the cylindrical value. This is due to the less cylindrical in the workpiece during the machining process. The main cutting angle (Kr) also has a big influence on the cylindrical surface, because the smaller Kr, the greater the cylindrical value. This is because the use of a small Kr is not profitable because it will reduce the geometric accuracy of the product, in this case it will also affect the cylindrical result and cause the workpiece to become non-cylindrical (the cylindrical size is getting bigger).

Abstract

Land cover in Indonesia's forest areas is dynamic and can change rapidly with factors including the conversion of forest areas for use in other sectors; unsustainable forest management; illegal logging; unsustainable mining activities; disturbance; and forest fires, ineffectiveness and failure to optimize reforestation and land rehabilitation have also contributed to an increase in the area of highly degraded land. Therefore, it is necessary to make significant improvements to the system and structure of forest governance to ensure that forest management is more sustainable and equitable, and not prone to corrupt practices. The aims of this paper are (a) to review the 2014 Forest Governance Index; (b) Analyzing the latest developments in Indonesia's Forest Performance; and (c) Analyze Indonesia's current e-government index and forest governance strategy. The results show that the transparency aspect is the weakest aspect in Indonesian forest governance in 2014 which indicates the need for systemic improvements to control the rate of deforestation and forest degradation related to corrupt practices. Currently, the government continues to make improvements and innovations in implementing good governance in the forestry sector. Forest management policies continue to meet new paradigms and national, regional and global strategic challenges such as meeting the demands of the SDG's and other international agreements. For Indonesia's e-government Development Index continues to experience improvement. For online service indexes, technology and service provision are the most important components to be improved. Meanwhile, for the telecommunication infrastructure index, the component of fixed broadband subscriptions is still weak. Steps to eradicate corruption through improving e-government can increase the effectiveness of regional development governance and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of various varieties and methods of irrigation on the response to rice growth and yield. The research was conducted in the Experimental Land of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, in January 2020. The study was conducted in the area using a factorial strip plot design in a Randomized Completely Block Design with three replications. Thirty-six experimental units were obtained. This research consists of two factors. Factor I consists of 4 methods of irrigation, namely continuous flooding, ten days flooding, six dry days, eight days flooding, eight dry days, and six days flooding, ten dry days. Factor II consists of 3 varieties: Ciherang, Cempo Hitam, and Mentik Susu. The observed parameters are the height of plants, number of tillers, leaves area, length of roots, fresh weight of plants, dry weight of plants, harvest index, panicle number, and weight of grain/ hectare. This study showed that Cempo Hitam and Mentik Susu varietas rice plants were higher, and the leaves were more expansive than the Ciherang variety. Irrigation does not affect plant height, number of tillers, leaf area, root length, or rice panicles. There is a mutual influence between variety with irrigation on the fresh and dry weight of rice plants, panicle length, harvest index, and yield per hectare of rice. A variety of Mentik Susu with conventional irrigation, ten days flooded, six days dry, six days flooded, and ten days dry, showed higher yields per hectare compared to the combination of other varieties and irrigations.
