Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of the Resource Based Learning (RBL) learning model to improve students' historical thinking skills in learning history. This research is a class action research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings which consist of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 36 students of class XII MIA 1 MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and HOTS-based tests. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the research on the ability to think historically in cycle 1 obtained an average score of 73.50. While in cycle 2 it increased to 86.80. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen if students can master the five aspects of historical thinking ability indicators which include: (1) chronological thinking, (2) historical understanding, (3) historical analysis and interpretation, (4) historical research abilities, (5) issue analysis history and decision making. Based on these results, it shows that the Implementation of Resource Based Learning (RBL) can improve the ability of Historical thinking (historical thinking).

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the extent of the application of the skimming method through the Digital Glossary Dictionary (DGD) in increasing the understanding of narrative texts in class IX B MTsN 6 Bantul odd semester of 2022/2023. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that the application of the skimming method through the use of the DGD digital dictionary proved a positive change. This is evidenced by the increase in several aspects, namely student activity, knowledge value, and positive responses from students. In the aspect of student activity, pre-cycle to cycle I activities increased by 11%. As for from cycle I to cycle II also experienced an increase of 3.53%. Likewise, the results of research on aspects of knowledge that are measured using multiple choice written tests. The results of cycle tests carried out at the end of the cycle showed an average increase in yield by 9%. The test results from cycle I to cycle II obtained an average value of 64.67 increasing to 80.6 or 11%. Aspects of student achievement in terms of English subject matter of narrative text material in pre-cycle activities and increased to 9 people in cycle I, so if it is percentaged, the increase from pre-cycle to cycle is 50%. This is quite satisfying for the teacher because the children who have achieved the specified minimum score are 76. Significant changes also occur in cycle I to cycle II where the number of students who have completed cycle I activities is 9 students and rises to 23 students. in cycle II so that when percentaged the figure becomes 44%.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine journals about the implementation of the independent curriculum using (Learning Manajement System) LMS. This article is discussed qualitatively using a literature study from the perspective of critical discourse analysis by examining several journals that are relevant to the topic. The steps taken are (1) collecting data from relevant journals (2) analyzing reading material from journals and making conclusions from the topic of implementing the independent curriculum using the (Learning Manajement System) LMS. The results of the study in this article show that the implementation of the independent curriculum is related to (Learning Manajement System) LMS. Implementation of the independent learning curriculum is carried out using interrelated (Learning Manajement System) LMS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the literacy skills of students in MA Jabal Noer in biology. The quality of education is determined by the learning outcomes of students from the assessment instruments provided. Assessment of science literacy is a benchmark that determines the quality of education in a country that is sheltered by PISA. Instruments for science literacy skills in the form of questions and an assessment rubric as a guide for determining the level of science literacy of students. Student learning outcomes are influenced by the assessment mandated in the 2013 Curriculum. The results of this study indicate that the level of science literacy in biology subjects still tends to be at level 3, namely interpreting phenomena. While the learning outcomes of students are classified in the low category. The causes of low science literacy skills are viewed from learning activities through lesson plans made by the teacher. The study from the RPP analysis shows that the learning activities, media learning, and assessments carried out do not yet support students' science literacy. The results of this study indicate the main factors that influence students' low science literacy in biology subjects

Abstract

Currently, learning uses a student-centered approach. Teachers are also required to develop their creativity in using strategies, methods or media. On the other hand, students are expected to have 21st century skills known as 4C, namely critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. Critical thinking or critical thinking skills are important to have, so that students are able to think rationally and be able to solve various problems that they face. In fact, students' critical thinking skills are still low. Therefore, the author innovates to make Advanced Puzzle media in order to improve students' critical thinking skills. Media Advanced Puzzle is a learning media in the form of a three-dimensional puzzle that can stimulate students to think critically and be integrated with online material and questions. This learning innovation work was carried out in class VII-I of SMPN 1 Grogol consisting of 32 students. This study aims to find out whether the use of Advanced Puzzle media can improve students' critical thinking skills in PAI learning and how the use of Advanced Puzzle media improves students' critical thinking skills in PAI learning. The results showed that the use of Advanced Puzzle media in PAI learning could improve students' critical thinking skills with an increase of 37.5%. The use of Advanced Puzzle media in improving students' critical thinking skills is through the process of pairing puzzles (which contain material and problems), so that students are able to understand the relationship between material and find solutions to these problems. Sekarang ini, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan yang berpusat pada siswa. Guru juga dituntut untuk mengembangkan kreativitasnya dalam menggunakan strategi, metode, atau media. Di sisi lain siswa diharapkan memiliki keterampilan abad 21 yang dikenal dengan istilah 4C yaitu critical thinking, creativity, collaboration dan communication. Kenyataannya, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, penulis berinovasi membuat media Advanced Puzzle agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Media Advanced Puzzle adalah media pembelajaran yang berbentuk puzzle tiga dimensi yang dapat memberi stimulus siswa untuk berpikir kritis serta diintegrasikan dengan materi dan soal online. Karya inovasi pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan di kelas VII-I SMPN 1 Grogol yang terdiri 32 siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan media Advanced Puzzle dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran PAI dan bagaimana penggunaan media Advanced Puzzle dalam meningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Advanced Puzzle pada pembelajaran PAI dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan peningkatan sebesar 37,5 %. Penggunaan media Advanced Puzzle dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yaitu melalui proses memasangkan puzzle (yang berisi materi dan permasalahan), sehingga siswa mampu memahami hubungan antar materi dan menemukan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to improve students' creative thinking skills in Civic Education  (CE) through the Freedom to Learn  strategy  to write National Character Short Stories (NCSS). This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development study using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results showed that NCSS had been developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The results showed that the quality of NCSS was: (a) the completeness of the formal aspect averaged 87.59 (Very Good); completeness of intrinsic elements average acquisition of 87.59 (Very Good); (c) integration of structural elements with an average score of 81.10 (Good), and (d) language suitability with an average score of 83.53 (Good). The overall gain is an average of 84.95 (Good). In conclusion, the Freedom to Learn to write NCSS strategy in Civic Education has a direct impact (instructional effect) on improving students' creative thinking skills. NCSS products developed using the ADDIE model are suitable for use as a reading supplement for the Strengthening Character Education Movement for students and the community.

Abstract

Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (Literally, School Literacy Movement) is a government program to increase students’ interests in reading from the primary level to university level. This program has been carried out in SD Hasanah Qur’anic School since 2019. This research was due to describe the implementation of SLM and to describe the stages of SLM at SD Hasanah Qur’anic School. This research used qualitative research methodology which focus on a descriptive study. The focus of this research was fifth grade students of SD Hasanah Qur’anic School, Bekasi. To carry out the data, the researcher utilized observation and in-depth interview. The results showed that class VI was enthusiastic to participate in the program. Teachers implemented the program using fun activities. However, the limitation of resource books influenced students’ reading experience. Besides, most students reported that they did not have sufficient resource books at home.
