Abstract

The cooperative communication system functions to eliminate the effect of fading on the wireless channel. In a cooperative communication system, there are a number of relay nodes assigned to help the source transmit information to the destination. Hybrid Relay Protocol (HRP) is a combination of cooperative communication system protocols, namely AF and DF where the relay will choose one of the protocols using hybrid relay selection (HRS). Selection of the type of relay protocol used is based on the largest SNR. In this study, a performance simulation of the HRS cooperative communication system was carried out using the AF and DF relay protocol using the Maximum Ratio Combining (MRCC) technique. The parameter taken as a performance reference is the bit error rate (BER). Based on the simulation results when the SNR is 7 dB, the BER value for the DF protocol is 0, while for the AF protocol the BER value when the SNR is the same is 0.0355. Whereas the BER for the MRC technique at the destantion node has obtained a value of 0 when the SNR is 8 dB for the SC technique the BER value when with the same SNR is 0.0119.

Abstract

The stages of aging (aging) are natural processes accompanied by a decrease in physical, psychological and social conditions that interact with each other. Humans who experience aging are called elderly, according to Ratnawati (2017) the Law of the Republic of Indonesia states that elderly are people aged 60 (sixty) years or more (Hasanah & Pagar, 2018). The number of elderly people in Indonesia reaches 21 million people (Setiati et al., 2019). The highest risk for the elderly is the high potential for accidents when carrying out several activities, especially at home or dormitories (Petersen et al., 2018). Bergen et al., (2016) stated that 29 million elderly had accidents in 2014, and caused 29 thousand deaths in 2016 (Johnston et al., 2019). According to research by Sahin and Erkal (2016), the number of elderly who have accidents in the kitchen reaches 31.7%. Elderly accidents can cause trauma and physical disability. Yapici et al., (2019) stated that several accidents in the elderly at home occurred in the kitchen.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology today has affected all aspects of human life. During the current industrial revolution 4.0, technology plays an important role in improving the performance and connectivity of many people working in all fields including education (Damayanti et al., 2020). The use of Android by teachers and students in education during the current Covid-19 pandemic has helped a lot in delivering material, information and communication. Apart from being able to use Android to help with work, communicate with other users, use social media and play online games, it can also be used as a learning medium (Wisnumurti, 2020). One interesting method that can be implemented using Android is gamification.

Abstract

The security system is an effort to prevent theft or loss of an object. One of them is the security system on the jewelery safe door which is vulnerable and the possibility of occurrence is quite large. In a safe today it is very necessary to have a security system, in order to anticipate the danger of theft that can occur unexpectedly. Not everyone can open this safe door, because this safe door has a tool that can open only the owner's safe door by using face recognition and fingerprints. (Okta, et al, 2021)

Abstract

FHR assessment aims to detect early fetal emergencies that can cause death. Laennec is a technology-based tool for monitoring fetal well-being to gather information and identify pathological conditions in the fetus through assessment. The Covid 19 pandemic, which requires maintaining a minimum distance of 1 meter from patients, requires the design of Laennec Bluetooth technology. The purpose of this study for the purpose of this study was to design a bluetooth laennec for examining the fetal heart rate. The method of this research is research and development, namely the Arduino Uno-based Laennec Bluetooth design displays the number of fetal heartbeats (FHR) in real time and continuously in Beats per Minute (BPM) size on the LCD screen attached to the device and can also be displayed on an Android smartphone via applications that are already installed in it which is connected via bluetooth. The monitoring system is designed to automatically monitor and measure FHR. Measurement of FHR uses the MAX4466 Sensor and Arduino Uno as a data processor. Laennec Bluetooth testing by comparing the measurement results with the original Laennec which is made of aluminum by comparing the error values. Based on the test results on 5 pregnant women with a gestational age of more than 20 weeks as a sample conducted by Lennec Bluetooth and measurements made directly with Laennec, the average percentage error was 0.31%. The Bluetooth range on Laennec Bluetooth is a maximum of 14 meters because at the time of the inspection it was in a closed room which was insulated by a wall.
