Abstract

The cooperative communication system functions to eliminate the effect of fading on the wireless channel. In a cooperative communication system, there are a number of relay nodes assigned to help the source transmit information to the destination. Hybrid Relay Protocol (HRP) is a combination of cooperative communication system protocols, namely AF and DF where the relay will choose one of the protocols using hybrid relay selection (HRS). Selection of the type of relay protocol used is based on the largest SNR. In this study, a performance simulation of the HRS cooperative communication system was carried out using the AF and DF relay protocol using the Maximum Ratio Combining (MRCC) technique. The parameter taken as a performance reference is the bit error rate (BER). Based on the simulation results when the SNR is 7 dB, the BER value for the DF protocol is 0, while for the AF protocol the BER value when the SNR is the same is 0.0355. Whereas the BER for the MRC technique at the destantion node has obtained a value of 0 when the SNR is 8 dB for the SC technique the BER value when with the same SNR is 0.0119.

Abstract

The stages of aging (aging) are natural processes accompanied by a decrease in physical, psychological and social conditions that interact with each other. Humans who experience aging are called elderly, according to Ratnawati (2017) the Law of the Republic of Indonesia states that elderly are people aged 60 (sixty) years or more (Hasanah & Pagar, 2018). The number of elderly people in Indonesia reaches 21 million people (Setiati et al., 2019). The highest risk for the elderly is the high potential for accidents when carrying out several activities, especially at home or dormitories (Petersen et al., 2018). Bergen et al., (2016) stated that 29 million elderly had accidents in 2014, and caused 29 thousand deaths in 2016 (Johnston et al., 2019). According to research by Sahin and Erkal (2016), the number of elderly who have accidents in the kitchen reaches 31.7%. Elderly accidents can cause trauma and physical disability. Yapici et al., (2019) stated that several accidents in the elderly at home occurred in the kitchen.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology today has affected all aspects of human life. During the current industrial revolution 4.0, technology plays an important role in improving the performance and connectivity of many people working in all fields including education (Damayanti et al., 2020). The use of Android by teachers and students in education during the current Covid-19 pandemic has helped a lot in delivering material, information and communication. Apart from being able to use Android to help with work, communicate with other users, use social media and play online games, it can also be used as a learning medium (Wisnumurti, 2020). One interesting method that can be implemented using Android is gamification.

Abstract

The security system is an effort to prevent theft or loss of an object. One of them is the security system on the jewelery safe door which is vulnerable and the possibility of occurrence is quite large. In a safe today it is very necessary to have a security system, in order to anticipate the danger of theft that can occur unexpectedly. Not everyone can open this safe door, because this safe door has a tool that can open only the owner's safe door by using face recognition and fingerprints. (Okta, et al, 2021)

Abstract

Lopok Health Center is one of the government agency health centers. The problem that occurs at the Lopok Health Center is complaints from patients. This study aims to measure patient satisfaction with service quality, knowing the GAP value. The measurement of the quality of puskesmas services uses the service quality method with five dimensions, tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy using a Likert scale. The results of service quality calculations obtained GAP values of tangibles dimensions (-0.6075), reliability (0.115), responsiveness (-0.08), assurance (-0.035), and empathy (-0.1825) which showed that the quality of puskesmas services given less in accordance with the expectations of the patient's wishes.

Abstract

Inventory management is one of the efforts to maintain the operational continuity of a company. This study aims to determine the most optimal raw material inventory control using the Just in Time (JIT) method for research objects at PT. Aneka Adhilogam Karya in Klaten Regency which produces various pipe fittings. Data collection through direct interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this study showed that the JIT method was able to make inventory costs as efficient as Rp. 1,429,297 with the original cost of Rp. 2,468,087 to Rp. 1,038,790. Another result of this study states that the frequency of purchases using the Just in Time method is more efficient than company policy.

Abstract

The Agropolitan Area of ??Rubaru District, Sumenep Regency has enormous potentials especially the red onion of the Rubaru variety. Agro-industry, is an activity that can guarantee the optimal utilization of agricultural products by providing high added value through efforts to utilize, develop, master technology and biotechnology. As one of the sub-systems in agrobisnis, agro- industry has the great potential to drive economic growth, increasing people's incomes, absorb labor, and increas the distribution of development and its results and accelerate regional development. Adequate infrastructure and facilities in an area will be able to support the regional economy and will certainly increase the standard of living of the community. The objective to be carried out is to realize that the development and Agropolitan Area can run well with the existence of detail cost calculated and technical drawings based on regional technical planning principles. The method used is descriptive quantitative. This planning can be used as a reference in carrying out physical/construction activities in the field in order to obtain efficiency and effectiveness and reliable buildings.

Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IX is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) manufacturing rubber processing to produce Ribbed Smoke Sheets (RSS) located in Salatiga City, Central Java. Several things are not done by the company, namely the inefficient trajectory caused by the company's target being too high compared to the output produced. The production process has an imbalance in the trajectory, in which there is still an accumulation of materials/goods in process in several workstations so that actual production is not meet production targets, and the company is having difficulty meeting market demand. So it is necessary to balance the trajectory to answer these problems. Increasing the efficiency of the production balance can be obtained by balancing the trajectory using the theory constraint method aimed at reducing idle time and accumulation of goods so that the production process becomes more efficient. The method that can be used is CPM/PERT. The steps used are grouping work elements into workstations, calculating the value of workload, tracking efficiency, smoothing index, and balance delay, which are then compared based on the two methods. The results obtained are that the RSS production line has a high track efficiency value based on comparing the CPM/PERT method. Hence, the suggestion for the Ribbed Smoke Sheet (RSS) production line so that the line efficiency value is high following the CPM/PERT method is to make three workstations so that the value obtained is the track efficiency is 85% and increases by 21% from the initial track efficiency value, from 64% to 85%. The idle time value decreased from the initial 4.66 minutes to 1.51 minutes, the Balance Delay value also decreased from 37% to 16%, and the Smoothing Index value decreased from the initial 3.3 minutes to 1.08 minutes.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) programs are important in maintaining the physical condition and cooperative attitude of employees within the company. Law No. 1 of 1970 regulates the importance of protecting work safety for every worker. UMKM tofu owned by Mr. Kadek, a micro and small industry, faces challenges in implementing OSH for its workers. The humid and slippery working environment, the risky waste disposal system, and the lack of use of personal protective equipment (PPE) cause accidents and illnesses for workers. The results of the interviews indicated that there were significant work accident cases, which had an impact on decreasing employee productivity and income levels. The rate of work accidents at MSMEs knows Mr Kadek has increased significantly from 2021 to 2022. The frequency of accidents has increased from 577 to 915 per million hours worked, while the severity of disability injuries has increased from 2,090 to 2,820. The impact of work accidents also affects work productivity. In 2022, there will be an increase in the number of working hours lost due to accidents, namely 154 hours. This shows that frequent work accidents have a negative impact on productivity levels. The high rate of work accidents also negatively affects the company's downfall. Improvements are needed in the application of OSH, such as ergonomics training, active supervision, waste management, personal protection, facility improvements, and safety awareness. In this case, Fault Tree Analysis is used to identify the causes of work accidents. In order to increase the level of productivity and employee safety, it is necessary to have a K3 improvement program in MSMEs, Mr. Kadek knows.
