Abstract

Dental caries or cavities is a disease of hard tooth tissue marked by damaged enamel and dentin caused by bacterial metabolism in plaque. The result of untreated caries will cause the cavities to become larger and deeper, and eventually will cause the teeth to die.The tooth that has died will produce gas derived from the metabolism of microorganisms, the gas will cause unpleasant odors. Halitosis is a general term used to describe bad breath originating from both the oral cavity and outside the oral cavity.The purpose of this study was to obtain a picture of dental and oral health care in respondents aged 15 years with a case of caries reaching the pulp. The research data is presented with the concept of dental and oral health care consisting of the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Dental and oral health care that has been done, there are 3 basic human needs on the client that are not fulfilled, namely not fulfilling a healthy facial impression due to halitosis, not fulfilling the need for the function and biological condition of good teeth because they have caries reaching the pulp and responsibility responsible for oral health due to lack of responsibility for oral health. The evaluation results show that there are 2 human needs on the client have been met again and 1 basic human needs only partially met.

Abstract

Parents knowledge are very important in the formation underlying behaviours that support the oral hygiene of children. Teeth are very important in children’s growth and development. The primary school children is a transition phase from primary teeth to permanent teeth which is regarded as susceptible to oral disease specially persistency of teeth. The purpose of this research is to obtain data on the parents knowledge of the case of persistency in children teeth. The method of study uses literature studies, by reviewing and analyzing from written material or based on its context. After reviewing the literature results, the parental knowledge off all three sources shows good results about the knowledge of the number and type of teeth, and enough about teeth persistency, and less about teeth growth. So it can be concluded that the knowledge of parents about teeth growth is still relatively low

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fixed orthodontic treatment is a treatment that aims to create a balance between the occlusal of the teeth, facial aesthetics and the stability of the treatment results. Measuring the success of service delivery is determined by the level of satisfaction of service recipients, in this case the patient. Quality of service and patient satisfaction are indicators of successful implementation of dental clinic services. Purpose Identified the level of patient satisfaction with orthodontic treatment at Smiley Dental Care. Method: This type of research used descriptive methods. The study population was patients who performed orthodontic treatment at Smiley Dental Care. Taken of sampling used total sampling, with more and less 30 respondents. Data was categorized as Likert scale data processing and data analysis was displayed in the form of frequency distribution. The results of research description of patient satisfaction with orthodontic treatment at Smiley Dental Care showed the level of satisfaction with the speed of service time with a percentage of 63.3% (19 people) was very satisfied. Satisfaction with service procedures with a percentage of 66.7% (20 people) was very satisfied. Patient satisfaction with the comfort of facilities and infrastructure with a percentage of 56.7% (17 people) was very satisfied. Conclusion: Description of the level of patient satisfaction with the quality of orthodontic care provided at Smiley Dental Care was very satisfied. Abstract

Children with special needs are children who have intellectual, mental and / or sensory limitations. One of them is a child who has mental limitations, Down syndrome. The purpose of this study was to analyze the index of dental and oral hygiene in children with Down Syndrome in one SLB in the city of Bandung. This type of research is descriptive. The sample in this study was taken by accidental sampling, the number of samples of 6 people. The data generated is processed and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. The results showed that the index of dental and oral hygiene in children with Down syndrome in one SLB in the city of Bandung was 33% good, and 67% were moderate. Abstract

ABSTRACT Caries is a disease in the oral cavity due to bacterial interactions that convert carbohydrates in food to acids through the fermentation process and is caused by many factors such as host (teeth), microorganisms (bacteria), substrate (carbohydrate), and time. According to the results of the Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) in 2018 that the prevalence of caries in Indonesia is very high at 88.8%. The purpose of this study was to find out the depiction of caries incidence rates in primary school children in Indonesia based on age, Knowing the depiction of caries incidence rates in primary school children in Indonesia based on Gender. This type of research is a literature study by finding relevant references and library materials. with the content analysis method. Descriptive analysis method is done by describing the facts obtained, then analyzed and not only described but provides sufficient understanding and explanation. Based on the results of the Literature Study, the average respondent who experienced caries based on sex in boys (49.5%), girls (42.8%). Caries by Age 6-10 (21.2%). So the conclusion is based on some research results on the description of the incidence of caries in primary school children in Indonesia is the highest rate of caries experience in boys (49.4%). And at the age of 6-10 years (21.2%). Keywords : Dental Caries, Primary school children

Abstract

ABSTRACT The conditions of the Supernumerary Teeth sometimes become a problem for the sufferer. Supernumerary teeth can cause the teeth to be crowded making it difficult to clean with brushing your teeth, this condition can cause a buildup of plaque that is also one the risk factors for the occurrence of tartar. The tartar is a hard sediment which is located on the surface of the colored teeth starting yellowish, brownish, to blackish and having a rough surface. The purpose of this case report is to obtain an overview of the care of Dental and Oral Health Services for Mr.Clients. S (22 years) with a case of tartar accompained by supernumerary teeth the design of writing by conducting assessment,estabilishing a diagnosis, arranging a treatment plan, implementing the implementation,compiling the results of the evaluation on the client Mr.S (22 years) with a case of tartar accompanied by supernumerary teeth in quadrant 2 there are two supernumerary teeth,in quadrant 3 there are two supernumerary teeth and in quadrant 4 there is one supernumerary teeth and subsequently documented. The method of caring for dental and oral health services is carried out by revealing data and facts in the medical record, observation, and interviews with clients. Furthermore and scaling treatments are performed. Conclusions from the results of the evaluation of care for dental and oral health services for Mr. S is the increase in knowledge and maintenance of dental and oral health of Mr. S after being given health promotion on how to maintain good and right dental and oral health. Abstract

Plaque can develop on the entire surface of the tooth, especially along the gum line. If dental plaque accumulates and is not removed, dental plaque can harden and turn into tartar which is risk factor for gum disease. Tartar is a hard sediment which is located on the surface of the colored teeth starting yellowis, brownish, to blakish and having a rough surface. Poor oral hygiene facilitates large amounts of plaque buildup. The purpose of this case report is to get an overview of Dental and Oral Health Care for Clients Ny. YS (41 years old) with tartar cases.This paper is in the form of case report with the concept of dental and oral health care that consists of the process of assessment, diagnose, planning, implementation, evaluasi and subsequently documented. The method of caring for dental and oral health services is carried out by revealing data and facts in the medical record, observation and interviews with clients. Furthermore scaling treatments are performed. Conclusions from the result of the evaluation of care for dental and oral health services from Ms.Ys is the 7 purpose that clients centered has all been fulfilled.

Abstract

Joint Dental Clinic X in Bandung as a dental health service facility that being a benchmark of the success of health development should be able to provide good quality services so that it can provide satisfaction to patients. Patient satisfaction is obtained if the services provided meet the expectation. This study aims to determine the level of patient satisfaction with dental and oral health services at the Joint Dental Clinic X in Bandung. This study is a descriptive study to see the patient’s satisfactions of dental and oral health care. The study was conducted in March 2020. Research using primary data obtained directly from the source of information with questionnaire list and interviews. Sampling techniques were carried out using a total sampling technique with a sample of 23 respondents. Data processing is performed quantitatively with value weighted criteria using Likert scale and data analysis using percentage analysis of all answers filled in by respondents. The results of study on patient satisfaction with dental and oral health services at the Joint Dental Clinic X City in Bandung described that patient satisfaction with the satisfaction of health personnel competence in providing services with a percentage score of 91,09%, clarity of action/treatment with a percentage number of score 93,04%, towards the empathy attitude of health workers with a percentage of 91,23% which according to the Likert scale criteria was included in the criteria of being very satisfied.
