Masyarakat Pariwisata: Journal of Community Services in Tourism (ISSN 2798-1010) is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung, Indonesia. Masyarakat Pariwisata: Journal of Community Services in Tourism aims at initiating and stimulating advances in Community Services of Tourism. Therefore, it publishes papers that promote new ideas, models, approaches, and paradigms by contributing to the advances in knowledge and theory of community services in Tourism. The journal covers applied research studies and review articles, both in the format of full-length articles and research notes. Applied research studies are expected to examine relationships among variables relevant to hospitality and tourism by employing appropriate analytical or statistical techniques. High-quality review articles that address the latest advances and develop theoretical knowledge or thinking about key aspects of hospitality and tourism are accepted. Research notes are short articles that report advances in methodology, exploratory research findings or extensions/discussions of prior research.

Abstract

Perkampungan Budaya Betawi Setu Babakan is a community Betawi cultural preservation centre. Research problems are communities lack of socialization, and training about destination tourism management impacted service excellence and environment. The objective of this community service on Perkampungan budaya Betawi Setu Babakan is to share knowledge with communities to develop human resources tourism competencies and give service excellence. Participants are local communities and local government, UPK Setu Babakan. The result is that the locals get knowledge and experience about Sapta Pesona and how to serve excellent visitors.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 virus that has spread throughout the world has had a tremendous impact, one of which is for the tourism sector. Many tourist destinations have had to close during the pandemic. Pulesari Tourism Village implements community based tourism, where every year the community is given HR training so that they can continue to improve the development of the quality of their tourism. However, during the pandemic, Pulesari Tourism Village did not operate so it did not generate economic income from tourists. This study aims to understand the implementation of HR training that the Pulesari Tourism Village community has participated in before the pandemic and its implications for the community's economic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method was obtained from in-depth interviews conducted by purposive sampling. The study found that the form of community training, namely training on creative business development and digital marketing, had implications for the economic resilience of the Pulesari Tourism Village community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Beripat-beregong is a martial art that combines elements of music, agility and courage. In the past, beregong beregong became a place to compete knowledge. This shows the spiritual wealth in society. A few important ones. First, the rhythm of the sound of the gongs leads to the beauty of the movements of the fighters as well as in life how hard a life is lived if it is lived with pleasure, full of beauty, it will be more valuable and meaningful. Second, Courage, self-confidence is the basis for competing against agility. Third, the cultivation of brotherly values. There can be no fight between brothers, there can be no revenge nor the enormity of the fight. The study used a qualitative descriptive method. Collecting data through interviews and field observations. The results of the study indicate that the beregong-shaped tourist attraction can be an attraction for tourists and has a very distinctive cultural value from Belitong Island. The research results can be used as a driving force for the development of Belitong Island tourism.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot yang merupakan salah satu desa wisata di Kabupaten Subang. Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot sudah memiliki beberapa potensi wisata. Namun, beberapa diantaranya masih dalam tahap pengembangan dan Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot belum memiliki paket wisata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan SDM yang mampu berperan dalam mengembangkan potensi wisata yang ada di Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot. Solusi yang diberikan oleh kelompok pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot yaitu memberikan sosialisasi mengenai penyusunan paket wisata disertai dengan sosialisasi sapta pesona dan implementasi CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability). Tujuan program adalah memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat atau desa dengan menciptakan paket wisata yang dapat dijual kepada wisatawan guna meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot. Adapun judul pengabdian masyarakat adalah ‘Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Untuk Mengembangkan Potensi Wisata di Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot, Kabupaten Subang’. Metode program adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan dan sosialisasi dalam bentuk pertemuan bersama perwakilan kelompok masyarakat, penggunaan metode menitikberatkan pada praktik di lapangan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah peserta sudah mampu memahami dan menerapkan pengetahuan mengenai kesadaran wisata melalui sapta pesona dan implementasi CHSE, serta sudah mampu menyusun dan menghitung paket wisata. Berdasarkan program pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan, peserta menunjukkan kompetensi yang baik dalam memadukan potensi wisata yang Desa Wisata Dayeuhkolot miliki dengan mempertimbangkan atraksi wisata, lokasi, rute dan waktu.

Abstract

Kampung Wisata Situ Bolang is a community-based tourism area. In the past, Situ Bolang was a natural lake that became a tourist destination for community. Unfortunately, due to the impact of the toll road construction, the springs are blocked so there is no supply of lake water; the lake is converted into rice fields; now the community has lost their source of clean water; The occurrence of land conversion for housing, road access, and industry has changed the habit pattern of the farming community into unskilled labour. Behind the irony, it turns out that there is an opportunity that can be developed which is currently guarded by the community, namely Martial Arts of Nampon style. Nampon martial arts being so special because the first students are Ir. Soekarno (the first President of the Republic of Indonesia) and Moch. Natsir. In addition to martial arts, there are several people who like to paint, even the paintings have been marketed to the ASEAN region. As an effort to preserve community-based culture in the era of the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is necessary to increase community capacity through training in the application of the Cleanliness, Health, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) concept in the Situ Bolang Tourism Area, otherwise to push the potential of people who like to paint, it can be utilized in making painted masks/tie dye motifs as an alternative souvenirs from Situ Bolang.
