Abstract

This paper aims to examine the development trend of the prevalence of stunting in the provinces of South Sumatra and Bengkulu between 2021-2022, by exploring the PB/U and TB/U indicators to see trends in the prevalence of stunting in regencies and cities in the two provinces. The study method uses a secondary data analysis approach to the results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey which will be conducted from 2021 to 2022, using descriptive statistical analysis. The sample studied was the results of a nutritional status survey in the Provinces of South Sumatra and Bengkulu in 27 urban districts. The results of the study in general show that there has been a decline in the stunting prevalence rate from 2021-2022 in the South Sumatra Province by 6.2% and the Bengkulu Province by 2.3%. However, if we look at the figures per district/city, there is one district in South Sumatra Province which has experienced an increase in the prevalence of stunting, namely Banyu Asin by 2.8% and there are five districts in Bengkulu Province which have also experienced an increase in the prevalence of stunting, namely Kepahiang by 2%, South Bengkulu 2.4%, North Bengkulu 2.1%, Mukomuko 0.1%, Kaur 1.1%. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the prevalence of stunting in the provinces of South Sumatra and Bengkulu in general has decreased, but there are 6 districts in the two provinces that are still experiencing an increase in the prevalence of stunting. It is suggested to the competent authorities in the 6 regencies to improve specific nutrition interventions and sensitive nutrition interventions by means of convergence between regional apparatus organizations (OPD) through the Team for the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction (TPPS) in each city-district.

Abstract

SARS-COV-2 is the virus that causes Corona Virus Disease-19, an infectious disease. As of April 17, 2022, Bengkulu, one of the corona virus-infected provinces, has 29,099 confirmed cases and 167 fatalities. The new goal of 52% of 2,215 youth has not been met in terms of youth vaccination rates. The study's objective was to examine how adolescents in Bengkulu City's Telaga Dewa Health Center worked with the Covid-19 vaccine. In-depth interviews with theory of the health belief model and focus group discussion approaches are two of the qualitative methods used in this study to get information. The results are given as descriptive data that has been prepared verbally based on the outcomes of in-depth interviews with informants. Teenagers (15–17 years old) who were divided into 5 groups 5 who had received vaccinations and 5 who had not as well as 2 support groups consisting of parents of teenagers and Covid-19 vaccine professionals served as the study's informants. In order to implement the health belief model, this study collected data from a group of adolescents who had received vaccinations and those who had not. It was discovered that the adolescents had a positive perception of their vulnerability, were aware of the seriousness of the Covid-19 virus which can be fatal and the advantages of the Covid-19 vaccine. However, based on the experiences of those closest to them, the adolescents were still unclear about the vaccine's side effects. Adolescent immunization rates should be increased, according to recommendations.

Abstract

Pregnant women's nutritional condition is determined by their Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), which measures the body's state of balance. Factors influencing pregnant women's nutritional status include a history of body mass index before pregnancy, the number of pregnancies, and the number of participations in nutrition education. This study sought to discover the link between the history of body mass index before pregnancy, the number of pregnancies, and the number of participations in nutrition education with Mid- Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) of pregnant women in the Working Area of the Tanjung Bintang Inpatient Public Health Center in 2022. The type of research is observational, analytic design, and cross-sectional, conducted from November to December 2022. The population in the study was 286, and the total sample was 80 respondents using the basic method of random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis used is the Spearman Correlation test. The results showed that the average Mid- Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC)of pregnant women was 25.54 with a standard deviation of 3.01, the average respondent's history of BMI was 22.272 kg/m2, the average number of respondents' pregnancies was 2.31 times, the average participation in nutrition education respondents as much as 2.93 times. The data analysis results showed a relationship between body mass index (p=0.0001) and the number of pregnancies (p=0.004) with the Mid- Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC)of pregnant women. There was no correlation between the number of participants in nutrition education (p=0.698) and the Mid- Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC)of pregnant women. Abstract

Breastfeeding is crucial for newborns, particularly throughout their early years of life. Accordingly, throughout the first six months of life, newborns should only be breastfed and not given any other foods or beverages. Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 33 of 2012 details the national policy that the government has also implemented on the exclusive breastfeeding program. According to Article 6, a mother who gives birth is required to nurse her child exclusively. Mothers' success in delivering exclusive breastfeeding cannot be separated from family support, especially husbands who always give encouragement and care. The purpose of this study was to identify the variables that will affect husband support for exclusive breastfeeding in 2023 at the Suoh Medical Center Clinic. Analytical survey research using a cross-sectional methodology was the methodology employed. This study included husbands with infants between the ages of six and twelve months. The number of respondents in this study's sample was thirty. Saturated sampling, or chi-square bivariate analysis, was the sample method employed. The chi-square test results revealed that knowledge had a ρ value of 0.000 <0.05, socio-culture had a ρ value of 0.002 <0.05, and education level had a significant value of 0.001 <0.05. The conclusion was that there was a correlation between education, knowledge, and socio-culture with exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions for health workers in providing knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding need to involve husbands, who are the primary motivators of mothers in breastfeeding babies.

The research method used is an experimental method. The effectiveness of the intervention program provided was then determined using the paired samples T test. The findings indicated that there were significant differences in the nutritional status of toddlers before and after receiving the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000 (.05) and the study's findings indicate that the stunting foster father program had an impact on the nutritional status of the toddlers who received intervention, as evidenced by the 19 toddlers (12.2%).
