Abstract

Anemia megaloblastik merupakan anemia yang ditandai dengan membesarnya eritroblast di sumsum tulang sehingga menganggu pematangan inti sel dan pembelahan sel eritrosit. Kelainan utamanya disebabakan karena defisiensi vitamin B-12 dan asam folat sehingga sintesis DNA terganggu. Diagnosis anemia megaloblastik dilakukan melalui anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, dan pemeriksaan penunjang. Pengobatannya dilakukan berdasarkan etiologi yang mendasari. Semakin cepat didiagnosis, prognosisnya akan semakin baik. Penting untuk mengenali, mencegah, dan mengobati anemia megaloblastik.

Abstract

Health and safety at work at PT Santosa Utama Lestari needs to be improved in order to provide a sense of comfort for workers, both directly and indirectly, in some parts or the possibility of having dangerous risk factors due to exposure, temperature and humidity, this is caused by industries that are active with the use of production machines in the corn drying industrial activities of PT. Santosa Utama Lestari Bima Unit. This study aims to analyze the effect of exposure to blood, temperature and humidity on the pressure of employees at PT. Santosa Utama Lestari Bima Unit. This research uses descriptive qualitative data analysis method. Based on the results of this study, the results of the effect of the intensity of the intensity, temperature and humidity at work on systolic blood pressure can be seen the coefficient of determination of the R Square value of 0.166 which implies that the influence of the independent variables (noise, temperature and air) simultaneously on the variables (blood pressure) systolic) was 16.6% percent. While the remaining 80.4% is influenced by factors outside the variables of this study. While the diastolic pressure can be seen the coefficient of determination R Square value of 0.246 which implies that the effect of the independent variables, temperature and humidity simultaneously on the variable (Dystolic pressure) is 0.61%, while the remaining 93.9% is influenced by other factors. outside of this research.

Abstract

Masyarakat di Kabupaten Dompu Nusa Tenggara Barat sejak dulu menggunakan produk masker wajah tradisional yaitu masker lo’i monca yang melindungi kulit wajah dari sinar matahari pada saat beraktivitas seharian diluar ruangan. Masker tradisional Dompu (lo’i monca) terbuat dari bahan beras, daun pucuk asam, bangle, temulawak, temugiring, dan kencur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mutu kimia masker wajah lo’i monca ditinjau dari pH, kadar air dan antioksidan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian laboratorium didapatkan hasil nilai rata-rata pH yang diperoleh sediaan bubuk masker wajah lo’i monca yaitu 7,08. Pada pengujian kadar air didapatkan hasil nilai rata-rata sediaan masker bubuk lo’i monca sebesar 13,3%. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan IC50 sediaan masker bubuk lo’i monca adalah sebesar 14,47 ppm. Hasil pengujian laboratorium yang memenuhi syarat adalah kadar pH dikarenakan nilai pH berada pada kisaran 4,5-8,0, sedangkan hasil pada kadar air tidak memenuhi syarat SNI dikarenakan nilai kadar air melebih dari 10%, dan hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan nilai IC50 sediaan masker bubuk lo’i monca tergolong antioksidan sangat kuat karena berada pada nilai IC50 kurang dari 50 ppm.

Abstract

Buah paprika merah (Capsicum annuum L.) mengandung diantaranya adalah vitamin E, vitamin C, karotenoid, dan kapsaisinoid yang dapat digunakan sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak metanol dan fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat buah paprika merah. Buah paprika merah segar diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol teknis kemudian difraksinasi secara bertingkat menggunakan pelarut n-heksan-dietil eter, hasil fraksi tidak larut n-heksan-dietil eter kemudian difraksinasi kembali menggunakan pelarut n-heksan-etil asetat. Fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat diuji secara kualitatif terhadap senyawa karotenoid yaitu β-karoten dengan uji KLT menggunakan fase diam silika gel F254 dan fase gerak metanol: aseton (1:1). Uji kuantitatif aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode penangkapan radikal DPPH dengan parameter nilai IC50. Nilai IC50 selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 20. Hasil uji kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol dan fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat mengandung senyawa β-karoten. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak metanol, fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat, dan standar β-karoten memiliki nilai IC50 berturut-turut sebesar 307,91, 281,69, dan 81,26 μg/mL. Berdasarkan hasil statistik, nilai IC50 fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat lebih kecil signifikan apabila dibandingkan dengan ekstrak metanol buah paprika merah. Namun lebih besar apabila dibandingkan dengan standar β-karoten. Fraksi n-heksan-etil asetat memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang lebih poten apabila dibandingkan dengan ekstrak metanol buah paprika merah. Namun kurang poten apabila dibandingkan dengan standar β-karoten.

Abstract

The leaves and fruit of soursop or Annona muracita have been used extensively as medicinal plants by people in various ethnic groups in Indonesia. Soursop leaves and fruit are believed to prevent and treat diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. Various scientific studies have proven the potential activity of soursop leaves and fruit to have antidiabetic, antioxidant, antiobesity, cytotoxic, anticancer, antihypertensive, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, and hepatoprotective effects. Based on literature studies related to phytochemicals sourced from Scopus, Science direct, PubMed, ProQuest reports that at least 54 secondary metabolites have been isolated and identified. These compounds include a group of alkaloids, phenols, and acetogenins. This article presents a brief overview that seeks to compile all information regarding the phytochemistry, ethnopharmacology, and bioactivity of soursop leaves and fruit.

Abstract

Decompression sickness (DCS) is a collection of symptoms caused by the formation of air bubbles in the blood or tissues during or after a decrease in environmental pressure (decompression). In general, the main symptoms of DCS type 1 (pain-only beds) are muscle pain and weakness. So to diagnose Decompression Disease (DCS) type 1, it is based on the symptoms and the history of diving. Type 1 decompression sickness is managed by choosing initial treatment in the form of giving 100% oxygen through a face mask or, if needed, through intubation. While hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be used for definitive therapy if it is available in primary or secondary health care facilities.

Abstract

Thalassemia is a genetic disorder in red blood cells, so sufferers must receive blood transfusions throughout their lives. A diagnosis is made based on anamnesis, physical examination, and supporting examinations. In general, blood transfusions are performed. Depending on the patient's condition, management may differ for each individual.

Abstract

The people in Sumbawa Regency, especially in Pungkit village, have been using traditional face mask products, namely the Seme Babak mask, which protects facial skin from the sun when doing activities all day outside the room. The traditional Seme Babak mask is made from the main ingredients, namely mango tree trunks and rice supporting ingredients, white glutinous rice and jackfruit seeds. The purpose of this study was to deterne the physical quality (spreadability, absorption, adhesion, particle size, homogeneity, moisture content) and to determine the chemical quality of the Seme Babak Typical Sumbawa masks with antioxidants and pH. This type of research is observational research and laboratory experiments. Based on the results of laboratory tests, the physical test results obtained an average particle size of 60 mesh or 0.25 mm, absorption power of 8 ml, adhesion of 6.43 seconds, spreadability of 5.1 cm, homogeneity, moisture content of 11% and chemical test results, the average value of the antioxidant test the IC50 value of the Seme Babak powder mask preparation is classified as a strong antioxidant at an IC50 value of more than 50 and less than 100, namely 68.2212 ppm and the pH level meets the requirements, namely the pH level because the pH value is in the range of 4.5-8.0.

Abstract

Ginger (Zingiberis Officinale) is a type of plant that belongs to the rhizome plant type, ginger is commonly used by the community as an ingredient for herbal drinks, based on this, it is necessary to have a simple extraction that can be used by the wider community to obtain a purer ginger extract, in this study it was conducted that the extraction or separation process of 100 grams of ginger simplicia through the maceration process yielded 27.9 grams, then a purity test was carried out using the principle of TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) test with eluent or the mobile phase used was methanol, ethyl acetate and N hexane with a ratio of 7:7:6, and an Rf result of 0.18 was obtained based on the distance of the extraction spot divided by the distance traveled by the eluent, and the results of the TLC plate were visible using 254 nm and 366 nm UV light. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the extraction carried out on ginger simplicia was successful.

Abstract

Vitamins are a class of organic compounds that have a very important role for growth, maintenance of health, and other bodily functions so that the metabolism runs normally. There are lots of vitamins both of natural origin and those synthesized in the laboratory. One of them is vitamin C, this study aims to determine the levels of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) in samples of citrus fruit, lime and vitacimin by iodimetric titration. Redox titrations are titrations that involve oxidation and reduction processes. These two processes always occur simultaneously. In redox titrations usually use potentiometric to detect the end point. To determine vitamin C levels, the redox titration method used is direct titration using iodine. Iodine will oxidize compounds that have a smaller reduction potential than iodine. Based on the experiments conducted on the vitamin C test, it can be concluded that the determination of vitamin C levels by iodometric titration can be carried out on the principle of oxidation reduction. Vitamin C levels were obtained by iodometric titration method first which was carried out by diluting oranges, limes and vitamin C by 0.0006%, 0.0006287%, 0.000787%. In the second method without dilution, the concentration of vitamin C in oranges and limes is 0.03165%, 0.0 9%.
