Abstract

Introduction : Heart failure is the final stage of all heart disease, and the number of morbidity and mortality increasing by the time. The signs and symptoms experienced by patients are influenced by various factors. Expressed emotion (EE) predicted the survival of heart disease in a prior study but the relationship has not yet verified. Objective: To describe the expressed emotion (EE), symptoms and its correlation between these two variables in patients with heart failure. Methods: A quantitative, cross sectional study design with structuralized questionnaires were used. Forty patients with heart failure are participated in this current study. Results: No signifcant correlation between expressed emotion (EE) and heart-failure symptoms was reported (p-value = 0.377) from the viewpoints of patients in this preliminary study. Conclusion: The relationship between EE and symptom of heart failure will be validated with a large scale and dyadic analysis approach in the future study.

Abstract

Normal newborn care is an action that must be done immediately by labor assistants and parents who aim to prevent complications as early as possible because newborns tend to be sensitive to changes in the surrounding environment including air, temperature, etc., including exposure to various diseases. Besides the nutritional needs of infants also differ in terms of the amount and frequency of administration. The population projection according to the National Development Planning Agency in 2010-2035, Indonesia's population in 2010 reached 238.52 million, with a birth rate of 5 million, and a death rate of 1.52 people. According to the Indonesian Health Profile (2017), exclusive breastfeeding coverage is 54.0%, while for East Java, exclusive breastfeeding coverage is 48.1% and in the city of Jember 58%, for umbilical cord care that is not given anything at 33.6 %, 63.3% were treated with alcohol or betadine, 0.7% were administered with sowing drugs, and 2.3% were given traditional medicine. The process of starting breastfeeding nationally is done at the age of 0-24 months, the initiation of early breastfeeding in less than one hour is 34.5%, which starts 1-6 hours 35.2%, starts 7-24 hours 3.7%. While for East Java, early breastfeeding initiation which started in less than one hour was 33.3%, 1-6 hours started in 33.5%, started in 7-23 hours was 3.3%, which started in 24-47 hours are 15.3% and those that start more than 48 hours are 14.7%. Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome (SKA) is a clinical sign and symptom of myocardial ischemia which is a cardiovascular emergency. However, delayed arrival at ER is a common case. Delayed arrival associated with family knowledge factor and family perception in recognizing the SKA signs and symptoms. This study aims to determine the relationship between families’ knowledge and perceptions with SKA patient delayed arrival in IGD Pelayanan Jantung Terpadu RSUP Sanglah Denpasar (Integrated Heart Service Sanglah Hospital Denpasar ER). This research is a quantitative research with cross-sectional design. Data collection technique used purposive sampling with 292 families of patients who deliver SKA patients to Sanglah Hospital ER. The research result exhibit 73,3% of patient's family does not possess SKA knowledge. On the other hand, 62,3% of patient's family perceive SKA symptom as fatigue resulted from daily activity. Patient delayed arrival in ER is related to family members lacking SKA knowledge and family perception that the symptoms experienced by patients is caused by fatigue. Therefore health workers need to provide counseling to families regarding SKA signs and symptoms, healthy lifestyle, and the importance to promptly coming to ER when SKA symptoms emergency

Abstract

The cause of AKI at delivery is the presence of complicating factors during labor. To save mather and baby during childbirth due to labor complicating factors, one of them is by performing section caesarea, the most frequent impact felt by klien post section caesarea is pain. Pain has a very complex impact on the care of post partum mothers, includin Activity of Daily Living (ADL) is impaired. Non pharmacological management to reduce pain can be a progressive muscle relaxation technique. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques on pain at clients of post sectio caesarea in RSUD Kota Bandung. This study is a pre experimental study with one group pre test post test design approach. The number of sample in this study is 20 persons selected in purposive sampling technique. The applied instrument is Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and work procedure of progressive muscle relaxation. The data is then analyzed by wilcoxon test. The study reveals that more than half of clients post operative sectio caesarea were on pain scale 6 before progressive muscle relaxation and almost half had pain scale 3 and 4 after progressive muscle relaxation. And acquired p value = 0.000, so it was concluded that there was influence of progressive muscle relaxation to pain scale to the clients of sectio caesarea. The results of this study it’s expected that progressive muscle relaxation technique can be used as reference for making SOP in the room and can be used as a non pharmacological intervention in pain management

Abstract

In Bondowoso, the prevalence of stunting in February 2019 reached 17.54% of 45,002 toddlers. Stunting is closely related to inadequate nutritional intake, one of which is timing of suplementary feeding. The purpose of research was to determine the relationship of timing of suplementary feeding with nutritional status based on toddler’s height. This research was a correlational study with a case control approach. Population are 46 and 41 toddlers sample’s with proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used questionnaires, microtoise and z score’s aplication. The results showed that the value of toddlers with a history of correct time of giving suplementary feeding 56.1%, while 43.9% with a history of giving suplementary feeding are not appropriate. Toddlers who have normal height are 56,1%, who experienced stunting a number of 43.9%. From the results of the Spearman rank correlation test obtained a p value 0.310 <α (0.05) which means that H0 is rejected or means that there is a significant relationship between the timing of suplementary feeding and nutritional status based on height of toddlers. Expected interesting education is needed for the community about time of give suplementary feeding on time to prevent stunting in toddlers.

Abstract

Jamblang is a plant with very strong antioxidant activity with compounds such as quercetin, flavonoids, and elagic acid. Antioxidant compounds can inhibit or prevent problems that arise when exposed to free radicals, especially the skin. Antioxidants are widely used in cosmetics for facial care, one of which is a peel-off gel mask. The gel base used can affect the viscosity, which plays an important role in the release of active substances, HPMC and carbopol is a gel base that is often used in making gel preparations with different physicochemical properties. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the composition of the combination of HPMC and carbopol base in order to get a peel-off gel mask preparation with optimum characteristics. This research carried out an optimization of the two bases with the simplex lattice design method using expert design software version 12 (trial). The responses used are pH, viscosity and IC50 then characterization included organoleptic, homogeneity, diffusion power, adhesion and drying time for the formula optimum. The results showed that HPMC was more influential in increasing the pH value, while carbopol was more influential in increasing viscosity and IC50. Prediction of the design software expert version 12 (trial) optimum formula with a comparison of HPMC: Carbopol concentration is 75%: 25% has a pH of 5.963, viscosity 54.167 dPa.s and IC50 value 74.187 ppm. The characteristics of the optimum formula produced are brownish yellow gel with the characteristic aroma of a homogeneous extract. The optimum formula produced has a spreading capacity of 5-7 cm, an average adhesion of 36 second, and an average drying time of 21 minutes.
