Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to improve student learning experiences based on spiritual growth in the independent curriculum at MI Zainul Anwar. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The data collection technique used was interviews with the Head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Curriculum, and two subject teachers, as well as documentation. Data analysis was carried out through three interactive steps, namely: (1) data condensation; (2) data exposure; and (3) drawing conclusions and verification. Data validity with source triangulation process. The results of the study explained that P5 namely self-potential development, self-empowerment, self-understanding, self-improvement, and students' social roles as a process of spiritual growth in the independent curriculum to improve student learning experiences that are tailored to student needs and increase learning experiences that will not be achieved through exposure purely verbal. So that learning experience was obtained and obtained through various learning activities as mentioned above. The subject matter functions more as a tool (means) not a goal (ends). Spiritual growth which was used as an approach in this independent curriculum illustrates various activities that are not only based on religious values but also uphold the affective aspects that students should have.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the number of online game addicted in children was experienting a very dangerous development. One doctor predicted that the highers number of online game addicted was Asia. This is very ironic. Since the first, the Indonesian nation has had many traditional games that can be used in learning activities at school. This traditional game was very beneficial for the development of children's abilities, especially children's motoric skills. In the midst of the dangers of massive online games, the RA Nurul Ulum educational institution in Sumbersalak Village used traditional local wisdom game methods and media in every learning activity. This was done so that the students continue to love and preserve the educational games of traditional local wisdom. From this background, this study aims at describing the application of traditional games in improving the gross motoric skills of early childhood in RA. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the research show that the traditional local wisdom games used are engklek and jumping rope games. The application of this game can improve gross motoric skills in early childhood, stimulated children in developing cooperation, make children more creative, active, adept at jumping, jumping and being responsible in a game. From the application of this traditional game, children's gross motoric skills developed more rapidly and children get to know traditional games and their types.

Abstract

The study explores social inclusivity in primary schools in Indonesia, focusing on three main elements: acceptance of student diversity, empowerment of student agency, and establishment of democracy in the classroom. This research uses qualitative methods with case study methods. The data collection process obtained from curriculum documents, lesson plans, interviews, and observations are used to describe existing practices and opportunities for increasing social inclusivity. The collected data were analyzed in depth to illustrate existing practices and opportunities for increasing social inclusivity in primary school education settings in Indonesia. The research identifies three important aspects of social inclusivity: accepting diversity, empowering agency and student voices, and upholding democracy. Although the curriculum recognizes diversity and some teaching practices involve student voices, there is still room to promote more intact democratic practices in the classroom. The implication of this study is to emphasize the need for an equitable and participatory learning environment in the context of primary education. The findings emphasize the importance of acknowledging cultural diversity, encouraging student engagement, and strengthening democratic principles in the context of primary education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to strengthening the character of nationality through multicultural Islam education. As well as to describe the strengthening of the character of nationality through the multicultural Islamic education based on the application of the Sila on Pancasila in Mambaul Hikam Junior High School Situbondo. This study focuses on strengthening the character of nationality through Multicultural Islamic Education base of sila on pancasila. Data collection techniques used are interviews, participant observation (Participant Observation) and documentation techniques. The data that have been obtained from the informant are then analyzed. The results of this study indicate that the strengthening of the character of nationality through the education of Multicultural Islam is by implementing the character of nationality base of sila pancasila; First, dedicating the Islamic culture on the santri based on the first sila pancasila, second, instilling the Islamic-owned humanitarian character based on the second sila Pancasila, third, instilling the attitude of Gotong Royong according to the third Sila Pancasila, fourth, instilling the character of Islamic suspected leaders based on the fourth Pancasila, fifth, instilling social-character social-based and religious slabs. The application of Pancasila's sila to strengthen the character of nationality through Islamic education is also to keep harmony, creating a high tolerance, and keeps diversity differences so as not to be easily split among others.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of science literacy through the one student one video program and the impact of science literacy learning on students' science literacy skill and science learning outcome. The research subjects were fifth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Purwodadi, Tembarak, Temanggung, Central Java. This research is action research with data collection of observation, interview, documentation, and test question. Data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative. The result showed an increase in students' science literacy skill and science learning outcome. Sawa Sado Program notably enhanced students' science literacy skills. Group 1 achieved a maximum improvement of 100% across all measured aspects, followed by Group 2 and 3, which also displayed substantial advancements. However, Group 4 showed greater variability in results, with varying improvements across different aspects. The Sawa Sado Program has generally succeeded in boosting students' science literacy skills. Nonetheless, the varied outcomes among the groups suggest different extents and patterns of improvement. This indicates the program's effectiveness but also underscores the need for a deeper understanding of the differing outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multicultural-based inclusive Islamic education model conducted at an educational institution in Probolinggo Regency, East Java. This research method is a case study type qualitative research. Informants in this study consisted of school principals, vice principals, and teachers. The results show that the multicultural-based inclusive Islamic education model applies; first, the Islamic Education Curriculum is oriented towards Inclusive-Multicultural education to internalize multicultural education so that an awareness of maintaining social cohesiveness is born and sharpening self, social and cultural wisdom. Second, the Epistemological Transformation Paradigm of National Education can be applied and conforms to the principles of national education administration. Based on the research results, strengthening multicultural-based inclusive Islamic education can be implemented at all levels of educational institutions.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to investigate the role and implementation of character education planning in Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School in maintaining the institution's brand identity and strong local values. This study discusses the dynamics of communication in the pesantren environment and the application of attribution theory in understanding community perceptions. This study aims to explore how communication takes place in the context of pesantren and how attribution theory is used to understand the way people interpret messages and actions from pesantren. The research method used is a case study by analyzing communication interactions in certain pesantren and interviewing related community members. The results showed that communication in pesantren produces; self-awareness, optimization of communication, building a positive image, public education, and collaboration. Attribution theory helps understand how society assigns meaning and interpretation to information received from pesantren. These findings provide valuable insight into the importance of effective communication in building a positive image and increasing public understanding of pesantren. The implication of this study is to provide guidance for traditional Islamic educational institutions in strengthening brand identity and local values through a planned character education approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the level of job satisfaction among teaching staffs at Gezira University, and to analyze gender differences in the level of job satisfaction among the staff of the Gezira University. The study employed survey research approach by using a questionnaire developed from the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and Lester (1987) Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ). 209 participants were taken through simple random sampling techniques. The results indicate that the staffs of the Gezira University are satisfied with promotion and supervision and coworkers system. The staffs of the Gezira University demonstrate low level in work itself, pay, and work condition dimensions of job satisfaction. The study found no statistically significant difference between the male and female groups in the level of job satisfaction in the Gezira University. The study also indicates that there is no difference in the level of job satisfaction related to academic rank in the Gezira University. The study recommended that the Gezira University must improve the work condition for the staff by providing work facilities and improving the work environment as whole.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing the mentoring model in improving the research competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the era of digital technology. This qualitative research uses a phenomenological approach to dissect the reality of PAI teachers' awareness and experience in conducting research, explore the impact of mentoring activities in improving PAI teachers' research competence and explore the role of digital technology in supporting the improvement of their research competence. Authentic and valid data collection was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, taking into account their motivation and interest in conducting research, employment status (ASN), which requires self-development in conducting research, and skills in using IT technology sophistication. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data analysis and field interpretation, analysis and interpretation after data collection, and the development of coding categories. The research results show that (1) the mentoring model effectively increases understanding and (2) PAI teachers' skills in conducting research. Apart from that, (3) research subjects' motivation, cognition and conation (willingness) are the sine qua non in carrying out mentoring. Also, digital technology is crucial in facilitating interactive relationships between mentor-mentees. The implication of this research is a deeper understanding of the motivations, perceptions, and experiences of PAI teachers in following the mentoring model.

Abstract

This paper describes the efforts of the head of madrasah transformational leadership in increasing public trust in MTs Al-Anwar Pancoran Bondowoso. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the efforts of madrasa principals in building public trust. Public Trust is the topic studied in this research because part of the things that cause it in shaping the image of the institution. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The informants included the head of the madrasa, teaching staff, parents and students of MTs Al-Anwar Pancoran Bondowoso, through purposive sampling. The data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's concepts, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or data verification. The research results obtained are the implementation of the transformational leadership of the head of the madrasa at MTs Al-Anwar, namely building teamwork by instilling the same vision and mission, building trust in subordinates, respecting and appreciating fellow employees, always providing motivation to their subordinates, a pleasant working climate, there is appreciation or rewards. With the implementation of this leadership, it has an impact on increasing public/local community trust, marked by the increasing number of new students in the new school year.
