Journal Ekuilibrium or JEK is a semi-annual peer-reviewed open access academic journal which is dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly works on all disciplines of economics. The objective of the Journal is to provide a leading forum for the enhancement of communication between researchers and policymakers on the recent development of economics. The publication in the Journal lays emphasis on works at the cutting edge of economics which have not been published everywhere. The Journal covers the discussion of contemporary economics, Development Planning, Economic Development, Economy Industry, Regional Economy, Regional Planning, Institution Economic, Finance and Banking, and Employment. The Journal will review manuscripts which should be 7,000-10,000 words (Articles), 3,000-5,000 words (Case Comments), and 1,000-2,500 words (Book Reviews). All articles published in this Journal are processed under a blind peer-review of the editorial board. The board and reviewers are legal scholars with specific expertise in accordance with the main focus of this Journal. The peer-reviewed process and decision on the publication of manuscripts will normally be completed within three months since the day of submitting papers. All submissions should be made online here, by referring author guidelines which can be found here.

Abstract

The high rate of population growth is a serious obstacle for Indonesia so that success in carrying out development needs to be increased in high quantity so that it can support the rate of growth in the economy. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of socio-economic factors on fertility levels in East Java Province. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from BPS and browsing internet websites as a support. The unit of analysis in this study is the effect of social economic factors on fertility levels. Fertility level is a driving variable and variables from social factors (poverty, health, education, employment, per capita income) in 2014-2018 are independent variables. While the method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that poverty no significant positive effect on fertility in East Java. Health has no significant positive effect on fertility in East Java. Education has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java. Employment has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java. Income has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java.

Abstract

One of the national development goals is to reduce the poverty level. Poverty is one of the diseases in the economy, so it must be cured or at least reduced. One indicator of the level of welfare of the population of a region is the human development index and economic growth proxied through GRDP. In this study, it will be seen how the influence of the human development index and Gross Reginal Domestic Product (GRDP) variables on poverty in Indonesia. The method used is Ordinary Least Square with quarterly data from 2010 - 2018 in Indonesia. The results of this study are that there is a negative and significant influence between the human development index and economic growth on poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

Otonomi daerah adalah produk kebijakan pelimpahan wewenang dan implementasi desentralisasi yang diberikan kepada pemerintah daerah. Kemandirian keuangan daerah sendiri dapat dicerminkan melalui persentase perolehan PAD yang tinggi terhadap total penerimaan daerah. Saat ini sektor pariwisata menjadi sorotan bagi daerah-daerah yang memiliki potensi pengembangan wisata yang mana diharapkan dapat membantu pelaksanaan pembangunan daerah yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pajak hotel dan pajak restoran terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) Kabupaten di Provinsi Bali pada tahun 2013-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan data skunder dengan menggunakan alat analisis data panel dengan menggunakan pendekatan Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sector pariwisata berpengaruh postif dan signifikan terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD).

Abstract

Economic growth is one component of a country's economic development. Economic growth is an important component for sound economic activity. Where economic growth can be seen through the amount of GDP in a country. If you experience an increase in the amount of GDP, it is considered that the economy is experiencing growth. The problem that exists in Indonesia is that the rate of economic growth is unstable, which can experience growth or decline in its growth rate.This research was conducted to analyze how the influence of government, private, export and import investment on economic growth in Indonesia. By taking the research object in 2010-2019. The analysis tool used is the panel data method in the form of a fixed effect model. Hypothesis testing using F-test, t-test, coefficient of determination and classical assumption test. The results of the study state that the Government, Private, and Export Investment variables have a significant effect on Economic Growth while the Import variables have no significant effect on Economic Growth.

Abstract

Economic globalization has an impact on energy consumption caused by the macroeconomic sector and the financial sector. Macroeconomic indicators used in this study include GDP and FDI. GDP per capita is the level of annual income per capita based on a constant aggregate local currency based on a constant USD in 2010. FDI is net investment inflows consisting of total equity capital, reinvestment income, other long-term capital, and short-term capital as shown on the balance of payments. Whereas in the financial sector, the ratio of the amount outstanding is the total amount of money in the hands of the public and circulates in an economy to GDP. The trade stock ratio is the total shares traded on the stock exchange. Energy is the most important thing in the country's economy. The availability of energy must be sustainable to avoid an energy crisis in the future, it is necessary to have energy policies to regulate energy consumption. The method used to analyze the link to energy consumption in Indonesia is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) with time-series data from 1988-2017. The analysis shows that GDP and the ratio of the money supply have a significant influence on energy consumption in Indonesia, while FDI and the trade stock ratio do not have a positive and significant effect on energy consumption in Indonesia.
