Abstract

Kepulauan di Indonesia secara geograsfis terletak di antara 3 lempeng tektonik aktif dunia yang mengakibatkan aktivitas tektonik di wilayah ini sangat tinggi. Pengenalan akan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami kepada masyarakat perlu dilakukan sejak dini sehingga diharapkan dapat mengurangi kepanikan berlebih serta tingginya angka korban jiwa. Pengenalan mitigasi bencana tsunami bagi anak-anak usia dini untuk siswa SD Negeri 2 Tawiri Kota Ambon dianggap perlu untuk dilakukan mengingat sekolah ini merupakan salah satu sekolah dasar yang letaknya berdekatan dengan garis pantai. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang mitigasi bencana tsunami dan memberikan pengetahuan tentang bencana tsunami dan mitigasinya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, para siswa dinilai dapat memahami materi yang diberikan, yang mencakup pengertian tsunami, penyebab-penyebab terjadinya tsunami tersebut, serta konsep mitigasi bencana tsunami. Hal ini diindikasikan dalam keaktifan proses diskusi selama kegiatan berlangsung.

Abstract

Wife has an important role in helping the family economy. Hamadi village, Subdistrict South Jayapura, Jayapura City is one of Village that has a fishing community. Problems that occur are not yet available business institutions in the community that can coordination fish processing business activities and Causing a lack of motivation and innovation as well as community creativity in developing processed fish products. This happened to one of the fishery business groups is POLAKSHAR Mama Papua, where processed fishery products are only made into smoked fish simply. The Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach was used in this activity.The community has a large role to implementing the proses and can make processed fishery products, namely meatballs that use tuna meat by adding black ink hitam which comes from squid rich in glutamic acid so that it tastes like guri umami truffle and Parmesan cheese, and can improve income and can managed well in a book keeping

Abstract

The inadequate availability of food to meet the nutritional needs within a region can result in declining welfare, diseases, hunger, and even disasters. Based on interview results, during the sea wave season, the fishing community in Holtekamp Village cannot go fishing, leading to difficulties in obtaining fish as a source of protein. Additionally, during this season, the price of fish in the market rises, causing some individuals to be unable to fulfill their protein needs. One of the solutions offered to the community to meet protein requirements during the wave season without significant costs and with relatively small land usage is by practicing simple aquaponics cultivation methods such as "budikdamber" (fish cultivation in buckets). Training results in a skilled community proficient in cultivating catfish using a simple aquaponics system like budikdamber. This community engagement initiative introduces new knowledge to the residents, enabling them to produce two commodities (fish and vegetables) in a single container, fostering household self-sufficiency, resilience, and nutritional fulfillment during the high wave season. This engagement activity also exhibits a positive correlation with environmental sustainability through the repurposing of used items into aquaponic planting containers and the utilization of household yards for cultivation purposes.

Abstract

Abstract Environmentally friendly and sustainable fishing does not only involve fishing gear but also the fish resources used and the fishing actors themselves, especially fishermen. It is very unwise if knowledge about environmentally friendly and sustainable fisheries is only known by intellectuals, but fishermen who are directly involved every day need to be explanation the impact of fishing. The method used is the delivery of material theoretically and interactive discussions to fishermen. The results of counseling on environmentally friendly capture fisheries management for the sustainability of marine resources show that catching demersal fish that are not yet catchable is not a cause for concern. However, limiting the number of fish that are not yet suitable for catching, keeping the environment clean by not throwing garbage into the sea, and dividing fishing areas according to the fishing gear used are wise efforts for the sustainability of marine resources. Keywords: Aluni Hamlet, Bottom Longline, Community Service, Environmentally Friendly Capture Fisheries, Overfishing Abstrak Perikanan tangkap yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan tidak saja melibatkan alat tangkap, tetapi juga sumberdaya ikan yang dimanfaatkan serta pelaku perikanan itu sendiri, terutama nelayan. Sangatlah tidak bijaksana jika pengetahuan tentang perikanan yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan hanya diketahui oleh kaum intelektual, namun nelayan yang setiap hari berkecimpungan secara langsung perlu diberikan penjelasan menyangkut dampak dari perikanan tangkap. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyampaian materi secara teoritis dan diskusi interaktif kepada nelayan. Hasil Penyuluhan pengelolaan perikanan tangkap ramah lingkungan untuk keberlanjutan sumberdaya laut menunjukan bahwa Penangkapan ikan demersal yang belum layak tangkap tidak perlu dikhawatirkan. Namun pembatasan jumlah ikan yang belum layak tangkap, menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dengan tidak membuang sampah ke laut serta membagi wilayah penangkapan sesuai dengan alat tangkap yang dipakai merupakan upaya yang bijaksana untuk keberlangsungan sumberdaya laut. Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumberdaya ikan yang dilakukan Orang Asli Papua (OAP) di pesisir Payum hingga saat ini hanya untuk kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari. Proses pengolahan hanya terbatas pada teknik pengeringan untuk dijadikan ikan asin atau diolah menjadi terasi. Bentuk pengolahan ini sudah sering dilakukan dan belum ada inovasi pengolahan menjadi produk perikanan baru (product development). Ikan yang bersifat perishable product atau mudah busuk memerlukan penanganan yang baik. Pelatihan pembuatan kecap ikan dilakukan kepada masyarakat pesisir Payum untuk menjadi salah satu teknik pengolahan ikan sebagai bahan mentah yang di-diversifikasi menjadi bahan jadi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan dalam beberapa agenda yakni pembukaan (perkenalan), pelaksanaan pelatihan (pemberian materi, pembuatan produk kecap ikan), penutupan, evaluasi dan monitoring. Antusiasme peserta dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan diharapkan dapat dilanjutkan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat serta menjadi produk unggulan dengan basis home industry di Pesisir Payum maupun di Kabupaten Merauke.

Abstract

Taman Sejarah Hamlet is located in Waesala Village, Huamual Rear District, West Seram. It’s location by the coastline makes it an ideal spot for fishing activities. Most of it’s residents work as fishermen due to their easy access to the sea. However, the fishermen are currently facing a fish resource crisis, with a significant and decline in fish populations every year. Overfishing is one of the main factors causing this crisis. The lack of information and understanding among the fishermen about marine conservation means that fishing and management of marine resources cannot be properly measured or managed. The community service being carried out in Taman Sejarah Hamlet aims to provide enlightenment and positive contributions to the local fishing community about how to manage marine resources well and wisely.

Abstract

One of the objectives of pricing is to achieve stable prices that do not easily rise and fall. With fixed and stable prices, we can avoid potential price wars. This price war can occur when there is a decrease in demand. Product prices are forced down in order to attract buyers. Pricing is influenced by Internal Factors and External Factors. Internal factors include the company's marketing objectives, costs, marketing mix strategies, and pricing methods. Meanwhile, external factors include the nature of the market and demand, competition, and other environmental elements. Selling price is an important thing that is of concern to producers in smoked fish marketing because it will determine the profits obtained for business continuity (Tjiptono, 2015). To achieve a profit desired by producers, one of the ways that needs to be done to attract consumer interest is to determine the selling price of the product appropriately (Waryanto and Nasrulloh, 2014). This is because the price level set will affect the quantity of products sold, because from the consumer's point of view the price is an indicator of the benefits obtained. Fish is one of the fishery products that is easily rotten and requires extra tight handling, so that the quality of the product can be maintained and the price to be offered can be adjusted to existing conditions. Fresh fish is fish that has characteristics including prominent eyes, red gills, complete scales, chewy meat, fresh aroma, and solid tail.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Kota Ambon adalah dengan meningkatkan peluang belajar ke tingkat pendidikan yang lebih tinggi untuk menghasilkan calon praktisi yang memilki penguasaan serta keterampilan di berbagai bidang yang salah satunya adalah budidaya perikanan. Hal yang sama juga yang hendak dicapai oleh Universitas Pattimura melalui Jurusan dan Program studi Budidaya Perairan pada Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu kelautan dengan melakukan Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memperkenalkan potensi serta jenis sumberdaya yang ada di perairan Maluku, baik itu perairan laut, payau dan juga perairan tawar pada siswa SMA Negeri 8 Hutumuri Kota Ambon. Hasil yang ingin dicapai adalah dapat membuka wawasan siswa terhadap pengembangan kegiatan budidaya perikanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah melalui pemberian materi di kelas tentang metode atau teknik yang sesuai untuk kegiatan budidaya, serta faktor penting lain dalam sistem budidaya seperti pakan ikan. Abstract

Seaweed grows and is spread throughout the waters in Indonesia, including in Maluku. Seaweed is a raw material for the food industry and has been used for various ready-to-eat foods such as ice cream. Seaweed is rich in nutrients. Apart from that, the carrageenan contained in Eucheuma cottoni seaweed acts as a stabilizer to prevent the formation of ice crystals and produces a soft ice cream texture. The use of seaweed as processed food, especially ice cream, is not widely known to the public, therefore it is necessary to carry out outreach activities to introduce seaweed ice cream to the target audience of school age children and teenagers so that knowledge about the diversification of processed seaweed increases. Counseling is carried out using the lecture method and participants' responses are measured by carrying out a liking test. The results of the lectures given showed the great interest in seaweed ice cream. The liking test showed that 75% of participants really liked the organoleptic seaweed ice cream, which shows that seaweed ice cream is acceptable and has the potential to be widely developed.

Abstract

Participatory mapping techniques are a way to facilitate the rapid collection of data and information at the community level. The Aru Islands, which have a considerable coastal resource potential, need to be supported by rapid data collection in support of sustainable management of coastal areas. Strengthening the local community in Aru is very much needed in terms of gathering such data through participatory mapping. The purpose of this participatory mapping is to identify the potential and utilization of space. In accordance with the entire phase of the process, a map of the fish species is produced which are potentially captured; the crustaceans which have economic value, the river streams of mega species and the locations which are the green turtle breeding areas, as well as three types of space utilization.
