Abstract

Wound management has become a crucial component of healthcare systems since wound healing continues to be a problem for the nursing sciences. One area that could provide novel methods for regenerative complementary nursing is konjac glucomannan. It is necessary to emphasize the significance when konjac glucomannan is incorporated into biomaterials, it may induce particular qualities that make the biomaterials more effective. They are appealing as wound dressing materials. In this review, we will talk about the first line of bioactive konjac glucomannan-based dressings that are often used in nursing practice. These include semipermeable films, hydrogel dressings, hydrocolloid dressings, alginate dressings, non-adherent contact layer dressings, and multilayer dressings. This review will also point out that there isn'tenough high-quality evidence and that more advanced trials need to be done because most current wound healing treatments don't work well, either structurally or functionally. Konjac glucomannan is a unique tool that can be used to help heal wounds. They can be made to closely resemble the natural processes that lead to tissue repair.

Abstract

This study reveals the serious challenges faced by the community in Lebani Village, particularly in the Nipa-Nipa Selatan hamlet, regarding household waste and garbage management. The lack of adequate waste disposal facilities often leads to indiscriminate dumping of trash, creating environmental and public health issues. To address this problem, the study proposes solutions focusing on enhancing household waste management literacy. The research methodology involved the active participation of students from the ST Fatimah Mamuju Institute of Health and Business during their Field Learning Practice (PBL), enabling data collection from the Posko V of Lebani Village, particularly the Nipa-Nipa hamlet, in December 2022. The findings reveal that the Lebani Village community tends to use waste management strategies involving temporary storage and disposal into rivers or the sea. However, this method is limited in capacity and efficiency and potentially pollutes the water, leading to blockages. Based on these findings, the study highlights the need for innovative strategies in waste management to achieve better efficiency and promote recycling. In conclusion, the government needs to pay special attention and support environmentally friendly waste management programs in Lebani Village. Enhancing household waste management literacy is also a key step in changing community behavior towards waste management. Thus, this research provides a framework for addressing waste management issues in rural villages, with the hope of improving overall environmental quality and community welfare.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's potentially rich plant species is the rambai (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg). The rambai (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg) belongs to a group of fruit-producing plants that grow wildly in Southeast Asian territories, such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, particularly in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Closely related to the menteng/kepundung fruit family, the rambai plant is also found in the Aceh region. Known locally as rambe, it grows in the wild and has not been specifically cultivated. The fruit, along with its skin and seeds, has not been utilized specifically by the community for medicinal purposes, making this research significant. Furthermore, there has been no study on the phytochemical screening of various phytochemical contents in the skin and seeds of the rambai fruit. The objective of this study is to qualitatively determine the phytochemical screening results and contents in the ethanol extract of the skin and seeds of the rambai fruit (Baccaurea motleyana Muell. Arg). This research aims to add to the information on the phytochemical richness of the rambai fruit and serve as an initial reference for studies on the extracts of the fruit's skin, seeds, and flesh (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg). The method for preparing the ethanol extract of the skin, seeds, and flesh of the rambai fruit was carried out through maceration using 96% alcohol solvent. The findings of this study indicate that the ethanol extracts of the fruit's skin and seeds contain the same chemical compounds, namely terpenoids, saponins, flavonoids, and phenolics/tannins.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a musculoskeletal disorder characterized by an injury to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints, cartilage, bones or blood vessels of the hands, feet, head, neck or back. MSDs can be caused or exacerbated by work, work environment and work performance. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are one of the most common occupational diseases, ranking second among all cases of occupational diseases, in Indonesia the prevalence of musculoskeletal problems is 7.3%. The purpose of this study is to determine the contributing factors to the development of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among employees in the education sector. A cross-sectional design was employed as the research methodology, and the sample size consisted of fifty education sector employees. Direct observation, in-person interviews using questionnaires, as well as taking pictures and videos of the work, were the methods used to collect data. Binary logistic regression was used for data analysis in order to ascertain the association between MSDs and work-related variables such as manual lifting, repetitive motions, and body position. The findings of the study indicated that 48% of participants complained of MSDs in the upper body, and most employees had bad posture. The results of the binary logistic regression test indicate a significant

Abstract

AND clay therapy) AND anxiety) AND anxiety about hospitalization) AND pre-school)).

Abstract

Background: Self-harm could be a basic nursing mental health issue for adolescents/young grown-ups. Aims: The purpose of this study is to explain the self-harm measurement tool. Method: Four databases were systematically searched (Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science). Results and Discussion: Eight frequently used self-harm assessment tools were identified and assessed for risk of bias, criteria for good measurement properties, and quality of evidence using the COSMIN checklist. Of these, two tools had sufficient evidence of internal consistency (ISAS, QNSSI), and one had been frequently used with adults (NSSI-AT). Conclusion: These five tools may have the potential for use in adults for content validity and measurement properties in the general population.
