Abstract

Studies on the use of goat manure have been carried out, but no one has yet examined in detail about the use of the correct dosage of goat manure on specific soils in Southeast Sulawesi, especially in the city of Baubau. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different goat manure doses on the growth and production of curly chili plants. This research was conducted from July to September 2018 which took place in the Ngkari-Ngkari sub-district, Bungi sub-district, Baubau city, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of one factor, namely variations in the use of goat manure with 7 levels of treatment; P0 (0 ton h1 goat manure), P1 (3 tonnes h1 goat manure), P2 (6 tonnes h1goat manure), P3 (9 tonnes h1 goat manure), P4 (12 tonnes h1goat manure), P5 (15 tonnes h1goat manure) and P6 (18 tonnes h1goat manure). The analysis design used is the analysis of variance (ANOVA). The variables observed in this study included plant height, number of stems, stem diameter, number of fruits and plant production. Based on the results of the study that different doses of goat manure treatment can significantly affect plant height, number of stems, number of fruits and fruit production on curly chili plants. P6 treatment with a dose of 18 tons of fertilizer h1goat manure is the best dose of fertilizer to increase growth and fruit production of curly chili plants. Abstract

This study aims to determine; (1) Effect of straw mulch thickness on shallot plant productivity, (2) Effect of KCL fertilizer dosage on shallot plant productivity, (3) Effect of interaction between straw mulch thickness and KCL fertilizer dosage on shallot plant productivity. This research was conducted from March to May 2020 at Wanajati, Tampuna Village, Bungi District, Baubau City. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with a factorial pattern consisting of two factors. The first factor consists of three levels, namely Tampa Mulch (T0), Mulch Thickness 1cm (T1), and Mulch Thickness 3cm (T2). The second factor is the KCL fertilizer dosage also consists of three levels, namely; TampaPupuk (P0), KCL fertilizer 0.5 g (P1), and KCL fertilizer 1.0 g. Based on the results of the study, the thickness of the mulch only had a significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 2 MST, 4 MST and 6 MST and did not have an effect on the number of tubers, wet weight, dry weight and productivity of shallots while KCL fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves, the number of tubers. , wet weight, dry weight and productivity of shallots. Keywords: Shallots, Thickness of mulch, KCl fertilizer

Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is one type of horticultural plant that is very important to be cultivated commercially. The high price of chili provides high benefits for farmers. However, one of the obstacles faced by farmers is low fruit productivity and a long harvest time will certainly reduce the profits of chili farmers. Fertilization is one of the important factors in the cultivation of red chili (Capsicum annum L.). This study aims to determine whether the application of organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers can increase the growth and production of red chili plants. This research be conducted in the experimental garden, Bukit Wolio Indah Village, Wolio District, Baubau City, from May to August 2019. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern consisting of 3 replications. The first factor is chicken manure, namely a0 (control), a1 (chicken manure with a dose of 100 g / polybag), a2 (chicken manure at a dose of 200 g / polybag), and a3 (chicken manure at a dose of 300 g / polybag). ). Meanwhile, the second factor of NPK Phonska fertilizer is p1 (NPK Phonska fertilizer with a dose of 1 g / polybag), p2 (NPK Phonska fertilizer with a dose of 2 g / polybag), and p3 (NPK Phonska fertilizer with a dose of 3 g / polybag). The results of data analysis will be continued with the Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ). The responses observed were plant height (cm), number of flowers (tree flower-1), number of fruit (tree fruit-1), production (tree fruit-1), and weight of fresh fruit (g fruit-1). Based on the results of the study, the application of chicken manure and NPK Phonska fertilizer had a significant effect on height, number of flowers, number of fruits, plant production and plant fresh weight. The use organic fertilizers cannot substitute the use of inorganic fertilizers. Keywords: Red chili (Capsicum annum L.), Chicken manure, NPK Phonska.

Abstract

Siompu oranges are one of the national mainstay tangerines which were initially only found on Siompu Island, South Buton Regency. One of the causes of the lack of availability of siompu citrus seeds is the relatively long time to obtain seeds that are ready for planting from the seeds. This study aims to determine the vegetative propagation model that affects the successful growth of siompu citrus plants. The research was carried out from March to May 2020, in Kaimbulawa Village, Siompu District, South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of one factor, namely vegetative propagation with 3 treatments; P1 = cuttings, P2 = shoot, and P3 connection= grafting. If the F count is greater than the F table at the 95% level, then continue with the LSD test at the 95% level. The responses observed were time of shoot appearance (days), number of shoots, number of leaves (strands) and percentage of life (%). Based on the results of the study, shoot grafting was the best treatment which had a high average number of shoots, number of leaves and percentage of life. Keywords: Citrus Siompu (Citrus reticulate), Cuttings, Sampung shoots, and grafting.

Abstract

Currently, the potential of cashew plantations in Southeast Sulawesi is quite large with the availability of potential land. It's just that the farmers have not been able to take full advantage of this potential so that the quality of production continues to decline. One of the efforts to increase cashew production is to require replanting with new seeds. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of various uses of manure on the growth of cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) seedlings. This research was conducted in Bonegunu Village, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency from November 2020 to January 2021. The experimental design used was a randomized block design with a one-factor pattern consisting of 5 levels of treatment, namely: P0 = No Fertilizer 0 g/polybag, P1 = Chicken Manure 75 g/polybag, P2 = Cow Manure 75g/polybag, P3 = Goat Manure 75g/polybag, and P4 = Pig Manure 75g/polybag. If the results show a real effect, it will be continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The responses observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), and stem diameter (cm). Based on the results of the study showed that the use of manure had a significant effect on plant height and stem diameter of cashew plants. Keywords: Cashew Plant (Anacardium occidentale L.), Chicken Manure, Cow Manure, Goat Manure, and Pig Manure.
