Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Javanese in the alpha generation of elementary school age at SD Negeri Modong grade 1 and to describe the factors causing the decline in the existence of the alpha generation of elementary school age in Javanese. This study uses qualitative research. Collecting data in this article using a questionnaire, participant observation and interviews. The results showed that there was a crisis in the existence of the Javanese language in the alpha generation as indicated by language changes or adjustments. There are two factors causing the crisis of the existence of the Javanese language, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are influenced by psychological factors and the choice of language in the family. While external factors are influenced by family age factors, domicile factors or the area where the family lives, the use of Indonesian as the language of instruction, the age factor of a teacher, technological factors and social factors or the child's social environment

Abstract

This research is important because it aims to strengthen character values ​​through local wisdom in Sidoarjo, namely the meaning and symbolic value of Sidoarjo jetis batik motifs which can be integrated into social life. This type of research is a mix methods research by first analyzing qualitative research, namely by analyzing the meaning and value of the jetis batik motif. There are 3 informants in this research, namely batik owners, batik workers and batik consumers. After analyzing that (a) There is a symbolic meaning in the jetis batik motif, it is proven by the presence of several motifs that correspond to the 18 character values, namely the sugarcane garden, spinach flower, sekar jagad, utah rice, sekardangan, milkfish and fan motifs. (b) There is an integration of symbolic meanings and values ​​in jetis batik motifs with character education for the surrounding community by identifying economic activities and their relationships with various fields of work as well as social and cultural life in the surrounding environment up to the province.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis kesiapan mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan sebagai calon guru yang kompeten dan profesional sesuai dengan standar kompetensi pendidik yang dibutuhkan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, yang dibagikan kepada 15 mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan di STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo, dengan masing-masing 4 mahasiswa dari jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Pendidikan Sejarah, Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, dan 3 mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika yang sudah mengikuti program microteaching. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa 80% mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan memiliki kesiapan sebagai calon guru yang kompeten dan profesional. Mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan sebagai calon guru, menyatakan bahwa mereka mendapatkan berbagai pengetahuan dari perkuliahan dan program magang beserta microteaching yang telah dilaksanakan, mulai dari relasi, pengetahuan, penagalaman, kemampuan, dan kompetensi untuk menjadi guru yang kompeten dan profesional.

Abstract

The development of the world has entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The industrial revolution 4.0 is marked by the ease of use of information, and therefore affects the behavior of students who are involved in imitating bad actions. Therefore, education in elementary schools at the age of 4.0 must be aligned with character building. Character education is the process of instilling morals and religion in students from an early age through habituation that strengthens and develops behavior. The purpose of this article is to describe education in the revolutionary era 4.0, to describe the importance of character education for elementary school students in the 4.0 era, and to describe how character education for elementary school students can be implemented to deal with moral, moral and ethical degradation in the 4.0 era. Character must be instilled from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Tumpeng as a traditional food, both history and various features in the dish, as well as the meaning contained in Tumpeng which is one of Sidoarjo's local wisdom. The research method used by researchers in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Tumpeng is interpreted as an illustration of the human relationship with God, the relationship with fellow human beings and the relationship with the universe. Tumpeng means that humans live life with enthusiasm and walk the straight path, even since they were born. Tumpeng depicts the human relationship with God, human nature and the universe that was created by God and will return to Him and human hope for God so that they are always given safety, a good life and achieve inner perfection. Tumpeng contains learning for humans how to live life, namely maintaining human relationships with God, relationships with fellow human beings, and with the universe. Tumpeng, besides being good in shape and taste, also has a deep meaning for humans.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how important religious moral education is in the family. Because humans are resources that need to be educated as the next generation of the nation. In the family environment, parents hold responsibility for children as a mandate and gift from Allah SWT. The development of religious moral values ​​means that children will have the character of a child, good manners, willingness to carry out religious teachings in everyday life. according to (Nuzul, 2011) moral education will continue to develop with various opinions and aspects of character, moral and religious values. Through this religious education, it is hoped that individuals can develop the potential of piety to Allah SWT. If this potential is well developed, the individual will be able to control himself in order to avoid forms of behavior that are contrary to the religious values ​​embedded in him. And one of them is family. Family education is the initial phase and the basis for one's education. It is also the center of natural education which takes place in a natural manner. Based on the results of observations made in January 2023 in one of the families in Sidoarjo Regency. The role of education in the family environment began to erode with society's life which began to be materialistic, where parents began not to play a big role as educators where children first get education, both morality. Because it can have a positive impact on children, moral education should be taught to children as early as possible.

Abstract

Social media is an interactive media technology that supports the sharing of information, interests, ideas and other forms of expression through virtual communities and networks. The birth of a technology has an impact on changes in the pattern of human life in society. . The development of technological advances, especially social media, also has an impact on students' learning motivation in elementary schools. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 24 fourth grade students at SDN Lemah Putro Sidoarjo. The sampling technique for this study used a random sampling technique, where the samples were taken as many as 24 students and data collection used a questionnaire. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were prerequisite normality tests and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that social media has a significant effect on the learning motivation of elementary school students. This is evidenced by the results of the study showing the Kolgomorow-Smirnov Test values obtained from the results of calculating this normality test using SPSS version 24.0. from windows 10 it shows Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) of 0.200 greater than 0.05 or 0.200 > 0.05. Based on these data it can be stated that the data used in this study were normally distributed and passed the normality test using the One Sample Kolgomorov-Smirnov Test. The regression coefficient for the social media variable is 0.507, a positive sign, which means that the higher the influence of social media on the learning motivation of elementary school students. For the partial coefficient of using social media on student learning motivation, t2count (2.848) > ttable (2.082) and a significant value of 0.011 <0.05, then Ho1 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted. So testing the hypothesis shows that there is an effect of Social Media on the Learning Motivation of Class IV Elementary School Students

Abstract

The problem experienced by elementary school children in learning Civics is the ability to understand concepts and interpret the learning they get by connecting the material taught by the teacher and related to students' experiences in real life. Therefore, it is necessary to apply Civics learning using the CTL (Contextual Teaching And Learning) learning model so that students are able to develop thinking skills to understand concepts and make sense of the learning they get by connecting the material taught by the teacher and associated with students' experiences in real life. In this regard, the research method used is data collection using literature studies with the results of learning effectiveness which depends a lot on the readiness and learning methods carried out by the students themselves, both independently and in groups.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to (1) To explain the implementation of Religious Character Building through Mentoring Activities at MI Ma’arif NU Sukodadi (2) Describe the religious character of students at MI Ma’arif NU Sukodadi, after participating in mentoring activities. This research is descriptive, using data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. And data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The conditions for the implementation of mentoring activities at MI Ma’arif NU Sukodadi went well. This can be seen in the good planning, the material presented is related to islamic values contained in the book of Ta'lim Muta'allim and Nashoihul Ibad, competent mentors. The process of building religious character through mentoring activities is carried out using habituation methods, exemplary methods, story methods and motivation.So, students can increase their faith and devotion to Allah, the formation of akhlaqul karimah, increasing students knowledge about islam. Abstract

This study is motivated by the low ability of students in critical thinking, aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning science material on changes in the form of objects by using the Problem Posing learning model. This research is a class action research where the researcher collaborates with the fifth grade teacher of SDN 138 Gegerkalong Girang. Class V students totaled 24 students with 12 female students and 12 male students. The techniques used in data collection in this study were tests, observation and documentation. The instruments used consisted of evaluation sheets (questions) and observation sheets of student activities, observation sheets of teacher activities and photographs. The data obtained in the form of test results and observation results as primary data and documentation as secondary data. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis to analyze the final test of each cycle and qualitative descriptive analysis for the observation results of each cycle. This research was conducted in two cycles using a research design that refers to Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The results showed that the use of Problem Posing learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. This is indicated by an increase in scores from cycle I to cycle II. Cycle I showed that only 13 students were complete or 54.16%. After implementing cycle II, students' critical thinking skills increased to 83.33% or there were 20 students who were complete. Observation of student activities showed an increase in each cycle. In cycle I it reached 72.22%, while in cycle II it reached 83.33%. Observation of teacher activities in cycle I reached 80%, while in cycle II it increased to 93.33%. Thus, the use of the Problem Posing learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in grade V students of SDN 138 Gegerkalong Girang. It is also recommended to elementary school teachers to always use this Problem Posing learning model in other learning materials.
