Abstract

The fisheries management area on the North Coast of East Java is included in WPP 712 which covers the Java Sea. Potential fish resources in WPP 712 include demersal and small pelagic fish resources. The purpose of this study was to inventory data on the dominant types of fish caught by fishermen who landed their catch along the North Coast of East Java. The research method used is survey method and direct observation. Some of the places that became the sampling area were the Fish Landing Base (PPI) Kranji (Lamongan Regency), Banyusangka Fish Landing Base (PPI) (Bangkalan Regency), PPI Ketapang (Sampang Regency), PPI Tamberu (Pamekasan Regency) and the Port and Resource Management Unit. Pasongsongan Marine and Fisheries (Sumenep Regency). The data taken in this study included the morphometric, color and meristic characteristics of each identified fish species. Based on the results of the study, it showed that most types of fish caught by fishermen on the North Coast of East Java were dominated by the Carangidae family which contained 6 fish species and the Scrombidae family which contained 3 fish species.

Abstract

This research aims to study the potency of Ipomoea pes-caprae leaf extract toward food pathogenic bacteria and to examine the potency of antibacterial activity of Ipomoea pes-caprae leaf extract on some food pathogenic bacteria.  The results of the study showed that the extract of  Ipomoea pes-caprae leaf  has an inhibitory effect toward the growth of E. coli, Salmonella sp and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, the higher concentration of extract then the stronger inhibitory response.     The hexane extract of Ipomoea pes-caprae leaf of four concentrations toward  Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp and Staphylococcus aureus bacterias did not show any clear zones formed on the agar media or negative, for methanol extract at 25%, 50% and 75% did not show clear zone or negative , clear zone could be formed at 100% concentration, while ethyl acetate extract showed clear zones at each concentration of extracts, these thing indicated that ethyl acetate as semi polar compound has  bioactive compound, is the best extract in taking role as antibacterial that can inhibit both positive Gram or negative Gram bacteria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding bread flour to water content, ash content, protein content, fat content and carbohydrate content of tuna burgers. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, each of which was repeated 3 times. The treatment levels of this study are as follows: giving different concentrations of bread flour, namely 90%, 85%, 80%, 75% and 70%, respectively. The addition of surimi treatment for tuna and bread flour had a very significant effect on chemical parameters, namely water content, protein content, fat content, carbohydrate content and had no significant effect on ash content. The best treatment composition was found in the B4 chemical test, namely: 39.59% water content, ash content 2.71%, protein content 13.72% 19.20% fat content and 19.51% carbohydrate content.

Abstract

Fishery production management is a management that regulates the utilization of fishery resources. The management can be described as a series of processes from data collection to implementation of management policies and actions to achieve the stated goals. Large pelagic fishery is one of the fishery commodities that has a relatively high economic value, so that the development of large pelagic fisheries can improve the economy of the community and the region. The purpose of this study was to determine the management system and production level of Tuna, Skipjack and Tongkol fisheries at the Kutaraja Ocean Fisheries Port, Banda Aceh, Aceh Province. The method used in this study is a survey method, with quantitative descriptive data analysis. The result of this research is that the production management system has several stages starting from incoming vessels, incoming vessel reporting, unloading stages, sorting fish, fish auctions, and fish distribution which will be distributed to UPI, Regional and Local.

Abstract

Indonesian marine waters have habitats for six species of sea turtles from seven species in the world, namely green turtles (green turtles, Chelonia mydas), olive ridley turtles (olive ridley, Lepidochelys olivacea), loggerhead turtles (loggerhead, Caretta caretta), hawksbill turtles (hawksbill, Eretmochelys imbricata), leatherback turtles (leatherback, Dermochely coriacea) and flatback turtles (flatback, Natator depressus). All types of turtles in Indonesia are protected under PP. 7 of 1999 concerning Preservation of Plant and Animal Species and PP No. 8 of 1999 concerning the Utilization of Wild Plant and Animal Species, which means that all trade in a state of life or death is prohibited. This is because almost all turtle species in Indonesia have experienced a decline in population so they are categorized as endangered
