Abstract

Online media has been widely used as a media for jihad by Islamic activists around the world, including in Indonesia. These media include HIdayatullah.com and Liputanislam.com. The two media reported on the conflict that occurred in the Middle East. In this study, researchers used the theory of message content hierarchy in the Shoemaker & Reese mass media. Based on the explanation above, this study aims to find out how the theory of influence hierarchy is applied in determining the production of news about the Middle East conflict in the online media Liputanislam.com and Hidayatullah.com. Researchers use the post-positivism paradigm as a research approach. The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The data collection method in this study was interviews with the editors of Liputanislam.com, news writers of Liputanislam.com, and editors of Hidayatullah.com. The results of the study show that there are similarities and differences in the editorial policies of Liputanislam.com and Hidayatullah.com in reporting on Middle East conflicts. The similarities lie at the individual and ideological levels. At the individual level, both news writers for Liputanislam.com and Hidayatullah.com have foreign language skills, namely English and Arabic. At the ideological level, the editors of Liputanislam.com and Hidayatullah.com believe that the mainstream media in Indonesia needs to be more balanced and make many mistakes in publishing news about the Middle East conflict. Meanwhile, the difference is at the organizational and extramedia levels. At the organizational level, Liputanislam.com media workers are given more freedom in choosing news sources than Hidayatullah.com media workers. For the extramedia level, Hidayatullah.com editors tend to choose news sources from authoritative media or official news sites and news agencies owned by Middle Eastern countries. On the other hand, the editorial staff of Liputanislam.com refers to media they think share the same ideology and ideals.

Abstract

Ulos is a local cultural product of the Batak community worn during every traditional ceremony. However, since the preaching of the Christian Gospel in the late 18th century in Tapanuli, North Sumatra, Indonesia, the presence of Christianity has grown rapidly and influenced the social and cultural life of the Batak people, especially in the use of ulos. Initially, the use of ulos was not considered problematic, but later, with the arrival of various Christian denominations that had different beliefs from what was taught in the church before, conflicts arose. The purpose of this research is to examine how the use of ulos has caused conflicts with Christianity. This article uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis and synthesis of thoughts on the relationship between Christianity and culture. The instruments used for analysis and synthesis include literature studies, observations, and interviews with Batak cultural figures. The main findings are as follows: first, positioning ulos as a traditional weaving that can be used as a unique form of local wisdom; second, using ulos within the framework of building socio-cultural relations for the Batak people and other ethnic groups; third, creating and using ulos as an example of teaching material for the redemption of local culture in a contemporary context. The analysis and synthesis results recommended by the author regarding the use of ulos as one of the teaching materials in the Christian Religious Education curriculum for the cultivation of local wisdom values for church congregants and students in schools.

This research then aims to see how the implementation of integrated entrepreneurship development policies occurs in East Jakarta. This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data obtained in this research came from interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research then found that the policy standards and targets refer to DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation Number 2 of 2020 but do not specifically regulate the use of digital media. The resources used in the integrated entrepreneurship development policy are 8 entrepreneurship assistants. The government provides technical and non-technical training. The government is socializing the use of digital media among business actors. Coordination is carried out in stages up to the sub-district level. Abstract

The Work Copyright Bill and the Tax Bill are two salient components of the Omnibus Law Bill, which warrant careful consideration. Both of these bills hold significant importance in their respective contexts. According to Joko Widodo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the primary objective behind the introduction of the Omnibus Law Bill is to alleviate the burdensome regulatory constraints that often lead to confusion and protracted processes. Abstract

A home is the most comfortable dwelling for a family. Unfortunately, it can be influenced by cultural elements, traditions, and myths that bring about unfavorable beliefs. Many assumptions argue that the 'Rumah Tusuk Sate' (House of Satay Skewers) is an uncomfortable place to live due to the negative impacts it may bring, driven by cultural perspectives, traditions, religious beliefs, and Feng Shui among the Chinese community. These beliefs are deeply rooted in culture and traditions, passed down through stories linked to myths. This research aims to explore the underlying causes of cultural factors that influence the perception of 'Rumah Tusuk Sate' from a Christian perspective. This study employs a qualitative method, using library research as the primary source of data, encompassing books such as the Bible, articles, and literature. The Bible, from a Christian perspective, firmly addresses questions regarding the cultural influence on the perception of 'Rumah Tusuk Sate.' Christianity and culture can coexist harmoniously without altering the fundamental concept of faith grounded in the pure Gospel.

Abstract

Understanding God's name is a sacred thing for Christians, so placing God's name in Christian life gives it different meanings without eliminating its substance. One example is the change of God's name in the Nias ethic, which became an event and was a grafting of a name from a cultural perspective to a theological one. This is related to the name of God from Deitas Lowalangi which is one of the names of ethical figures on the island of Nias who is used as a synonym for the name of God. If you look at it, there are actually many other name deities that are choices for God's name. And this is the topic of discussion in this article and its application to the lives of the people of Nias today. This research was carried out by means of literature studies and interviews with several Nias ethnic figures who were sources, both intellectuals and traditional figures and servants of God. The aim of writing this article is that the essence of the name Lowalangi is not just changing the name to God but has a deep meaning without any interference from the name of the god worshiped by the Nias ethnic group, as well as strengthening the faith of the Nias Christian people in actualizing the name of God in religious and cultural life. Through understanding the name of God from the Nias ethnic perspective, that the true name of God is implemented correctly and on a Biblical basis. The connection between the name of God in the Nias ethnic group is only limited to the name adopted by missionaries to straighten out the faith of Christians on Nias Island. Because no other Lowalangi name is misused by Christians in any worship. Because what must be worshiped is the real Lowalangi in the Bible, not Lowalangi because it is based on the name of a traditional figure, god or ancestor.
