Abstract

This study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in theprocess of developing bean sprouts business centers, as well as determine the strategy fordeveloping the bean sprouts business in Hulaan Village, Menganti District, GresikRegency. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and SWOTanalysis. The sampling technique used in this study used a purposive sampling technique.The sample was taken by 16 people from bean sprout business owners in Hulaan Village,Menganti District, Gresik Regency. From the results of identification that has been carriedout from the internal factors of strengths and weaknesses, 12 aspects have been found, andfrom external factors, opportunities and threats have been found to be 7 aspects that willbe related to the strategy for developing bean sprouts business centers. This study showsthat the strategic position of the development of the bean sprouts business center in HulaanVillage, Menganti District, Gresik Regency is in quadrant I, which means that the beansprouts business center in Hulaan Village has internal strength in its development. Fromthe results of the analysis that has been carried out, as a strategy recommendation given isan Aggressive strategy, meaning maximizing strengths and taking advantage of existingopportunities to get the bean sprouts business development strategy implemented.

Abstract

In Lambangan Village, Wonoayu District, Sidoarjo Regency, there are severalMSMEs that produce instant red ginger, one of which is Hensam Sari Instant Red Ginger,El Nuha Red Ginger, Instant Red Ginger Mawaddah, which has been running since 2016and produces instant red ginger powder. and Temulawak. The drink's beautiful color andnot too spicy taste make red ginger syrup Aroma Hensam Sari Jahe Merah Instant, lovedby children to adults. This study has the objectives to 1). To find out the internal factorsand external factors which are the strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunitiesand threats to MSMEs in Lambangan Village in marketing instant red ginger. 2) To findout the marketing strategy alternatives for instant red ginger that are implemented byMSMEs in Lambangan Village. 3). Want to know the marketing of instant red ginger thatis good for MSMEs in Lambangan Village. The research used the survey method, the datacollection method was carried out by interviews, observations and documentation studiesto the respondents, namely visitors and MSME managers in Lambangan Village directly.Methods of data analysis using quantitative description analysis. Analysis through QSPM.Strategic Decision Making Based on the SWOT analysis diagram, it is known that thealternative instant red ginger marketing strategy in Lambangan Village strongly supportsthe SO strategy, which consists of increasing production quantity, improving service toagents and customers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of a hydroponic business for Small andMedium Enterprises (SMEs) using the Break Even Point (BEP) approach. The population inthis study are agricultural entrepreneurs who use a hydroponic system in cultivating plants,namely UKM Fresh Hydroponics. The selection of this location was based on purposivesampling based on the length of time the business had been running because FreshHydroponics was the pioneer of hydroponic vegetable farming in Kedamean District. Thisresearch was conducted in January 2022 in Gresik, East Java. The data collection techniquesused were literature searches, observations and interviews. The data used is primary data frominterviews with Ms. Sutik. as the person in charge of UKM Fresh Hydroponics. The findings inthis study indicate that the Fresh Hydroponics business in hydroponic vegetable cultivationuses a small-scale Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system with the types of plants planted,namely caisim mustard and shallots. The results of the calculation of the red onion R/c ratio >1 one, namely 1.337449228, it can be said that the shallot business is feasible to run with atotal production exceeding the BEP of 35 kg, a price level that exceeds the price BEP of IDR28,000.00/kg in January, and revenue which exceeds the revenue BEP of IDR 980,000.00

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the(1) The process of processing water hyacinth handicraft industry so that it becomes a handicraft. (2) The obstacles experienced by water hyacinth craftsmen. (3) Craftsmen's efforts to overcome obstacles to the water hyacinth craft industry. (4) Income contribution from the water hyacinth craft industry. (5) Efforts to develop the self-development of craftsmen in the water hyacinth craft industry. This research is a quantitative research in which the research subjects were craftsmen's households in Kludan Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency with 50 respondents and it was a population study. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is quantitative descriptive. The results showed that: (1) The processing of the water hyacinth handicraft industry in Kludan Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency is still in the form of semi-finished goods, the raw material price is IDR 4,500/kg. Water hyacinth craft products include: bags, pillows, prisms, mats, and others. The price of water hyacinth crafts ranges from IDR 8,000 – IDR 30,000 depending on the size of the craft item. (2) The obstacles experienced by craftsmen are expensive raw materials, craftsmen are not given the opportunity to process water hyacinth crafts until the finishing stage. (3) Efforts to overcome obstacles, namely craftsmen learn to process water hyacinth crafts until the finishing stage to increase the price of water hyacinth crafts by forming groups. (4) The contribution of income from water hyacinth crafts to the total household income of craftsmen is 27.5%. (5) Efforts to develop self-development of water hyacinth craft industry craftsmen, namely craftsmen taking courses or training, conducting promotions or exhibitions to introduce water hyacinth crafts.
